There's some schizo that spergs out in Ganker and Ganker threads complaining about his headcanon that bikinis apparently aren't being used in media anymore because of censorship.
It wouldn't surprise me with the way the world is going, but I only watch anime every several years, so I'd be the last person to know. I barely even pay attention to hentai anymore either, but last I did know e-girl doujins were getting harder to publish at Comiket (I remember reading this in a doujin from a few years ago). nice nice i'll copy some of that, quick question, the tri emblem you are using is +4, thats because you put in 4 factors right? because i made a tri emblem and its only +1, do i need "empty slots" to put more factors? im getting almost one shotted by the fricking bird in ultima thule floor 5 or 6. you wouldnt believe how much fun i had fighting raymond in the first floors with laeticia that 1v1 was dope, i wasnt paying too much attention to the game equipment/crafting system till now. raymond was fricking me and then i changed some accesories to freeze him and absorb hp and goddamn the game went from nice to very nice, didnt even know you could put debuffs on bosses like this.
Frick me if I remember, but I think that every or almost every item you get from Item Creation is +1, and other pluses are added once you combine the current item with something else (to add more abilities on it). Obviously I did not get tri-Emblem with all those abilities you've seen; those are added later. I think that was called Synthesis, when you transfer abilites from one piece of equipment (and destroy it in the process) to another.
Oh yeah, about slots.
If you have Synthesis unlocked, see if you can use synthesis on your tri-Emblem. You should be able to put something on it. I don't think there are ''locked'' slots on it, anon. There are 4 slots per equipment; you just don't see the slot like in every other RPG that has this mechanic. Instead, there is a blank ''spot''.
absolutely, but doesnt run good at least on my pc im on a ryzen 5 2400g, 16gb ram, rtx 2060, the game pretty much runs at 30-40 fps in the cities (i dont care so much about this) but stays at 60 in battles, and the other problem i had was that the camera moves by itself, it has a fix (changing the resolution of your screen before entering the game and shit like that is one of them) honestly this game went from im getting a refund as soon as i got the camera problem to the point im now in the last post game dungeon and thinking that maybe i'll try the new difficulty option when i finish it lmao. the game is pretty fun in combat and to my surprise i had a lot of fun exploring the maps too
havent heard anything good about 5, other than fiore was cute but yeah give 6 a try. ohh i havent said anything about the music but motoi was excellent here, a lot of good tracks, raymond battle theme is nice but even field maps have a lot of love.
kek thats how I feel about a lot of long and open world games. I get really into the first playthrough but its such an insane time sink theres no chance I'll ever play it again. Just thinking about having to redo all the hero quests to get and ascend the classes and skills I want makes me want to vomit.
If you know nothing at all about FT I really can't recommend it since it starts after the timeskip. Maybe read or watch some of FT and see if the characters are fun to you then it'll be a great game to play.
Return of a beloved IP that has brought people that don't play CRPG's into CRPG's and showed that there is a proper market for them. Also DnD is popular as a trend again so there's that bandwaggoner too.
Larian memeshit aside.
I don't want to play a Seattle dating simulator. Or another Larian game with a shitty 3rd act. I most certainly don't want to pay to play it. Or have it take up 134 GB of my storage space.
I'm techincally playing BG3 right now, can start Act 2 whenever I want but the romance stuff is killing me. I just want to be friends with half of these characters but every time I try to be nice to Astarian or Wyll, they try to frick me me. It really kills my urge to even interact with my party members if that's how its going to be
99% of the people who play LD get filtered, Passage of the Book is also very rough at the start, rougher than your average SaGa and most people in here are too stupid to figure out those games.
I heard that these games took a huge nosedive after the Crossbell games. Something about Cold Steel trying to be Persona for a bit and then Rean being too awesome and now awful retcons. It's a shame if true, because I really enjoyed breasts.
Cold Steel still has it's moments but the conclusion of the story just feels weak to me. On the other hand Trails of Reverie just an absolute fun to play and read so far. Falcom definitely still got it.
Its mostly memes because Rean is clearly a creators pet and the writer absolutely adores him, making him far more important that a lot of other characters.
Retcons aren't as bad as some people say but certain things are omitted but are still canon, just not mentioned (apparently) even when they should be in the specific contexts.
Cold Steel (mostly III & IV) are still good games but they just aren't AS good if you ask me
The /fg/ and /vrpg/ circlejerks exaggerate their shortcomings a lot
I like JRPGs and Gust games
Is the Fairy Tail game good, as someone that thinks Fairy Tail is a steaming hot pile of shit (mostly because the animation is garbo)
Using this thread to ask if I should I play Final Fantasy 10 or Atelier Ryza? I'm semi-new to JRPGs
On one hand I've read that FF10 is a must play and one of the best JRPGs ever, on the other hand Atelier is more modern and it has Ryza's fat thighs
You don't have any standards so I'm sure you can enjoy either gutter trash like Final Fantasy or Nu-Atelier
You do need to play bad games to get some taste in the first place, might as well do it now
FF10 is the better game and is modern enough, nothing about it will feel archaic even to a zoomer unless you absolutely hate turn based systems for some reason
Final Fantasy X
Atelier Ryza is good, but Final Fantasy X is legendary and will be way more satisfying both mechanically and story wise. Ignore

I mean, both eventually but FFX is a fantastic game, can't recommend it enough. The story is great, characters are great, gameplay is super satisfying, it's got beautiful art direction, etc. etc. It's a classic for a reason.
I need to finish Atelier Rorona's Overtime. Getting absolutely destroyed in the first new area by the first boss with what I thought was the best possible equipment I could give my characters kinda killed my desire.
My absolutely favorite would be Archer (Disgaea), but I also really like Etna (Disgaea), Elize Lutus (Tales of Xillia), Magilou (Tales of Berseria), Lucina (Fire Emblem: Awakening) and Sakura (Fire Emblem Fates).
Serena from Dragon Quest XI is not truly flat but her chest is really small and I like her a lot too.
Why is she so flat?
Disgaea Archers have canonically evolved to have flat chests so that they can wield their bows better.
Give a score from 1 to 10 to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Dragon Quest 11.
Is playing JRPGs worth it at all?
Xenoblade 2: 5/10, mediocre game carried by high production values and anime breasts, this entire series has absolute garbage gameplay where the game nearly plays itself. I can't believe people criticized the gambit system in Final Fantasy XII then play this shit. The game has interesting plot twist but for some reason, every single time a villain is about to die, you get a 20 minutes cutscene of why they turned evil just before they die. It's completely pointless. This happens like 5 times in a row.
Dragon Quest XI: 8/10, extremely polished game that carries the soul and essence of JRPGs, good tactical turn-based gameplay especially with the Stronger Monsters challenge. Took 2 points off because the plot and characters are a bit too by-the-book and the story takes a nosedive in the third arc. Also the game has an interesting plot twist at the end of the first arc but Final Fantasy 6 did that some plot twist ten times better.
can you recommend the wild arms series?
That's one of the few series I've never touched actually
>I can't believe people criticized the gambit system in Final Fantasy XII then play this shit.
Gambit system in Final Fantasy XII: The Phantom Menace IS bad because it makes the game too easy. If you set just ONE gambit >Attack Enemy: _______
and do all other shit manually (skills, spells, items) the game becomes much more fun. And even with that, I would sy that it's easier than Xenoblade 2

Good to know from the beggining what exactly your opinion is worth to me ,i wish more hsiteaters were as straightforward from the getgo as you are.
Just finished Earthbound yesterday, ordered Etrian Odyssey Collection from PlayAsia. Either going to play Persona 5 or Xenoblade Chronicles while I wait for it to arrive.
If you think Scarlet is experimental, wait until they re-release Unlimited. Scarlet Grace is very heavy on combat, but I found the combat very addicting.
Even if it doesn't click with you at first, It'll grow on you once you get back to it, especially if you crave reactivity because holy shit does Scarlet Grace do reactivity well.
I want Saga Frontier 2 soooo much, but I'm afraid they will frick up that style. What's it called? Watercolor? It worked really well on PS1.
It seems they still have the original physical paintings for the SF2 backgrounds, or some of those at least, judging from the Legend of Mana remaster they won't have problems keeping the same visual quality, but Kawazu said he was going to remake one game and remaster another, and only SF2 and Unlimited remain, so we'll have to see whether SF2 gets fully remade from the ground up or not.
If you ask me, it's more likely Unlimited gets the full remake since it's Kawazu's special child and it does need some real fixes in some parts that a remaster just can't do, as much as SF2 needs that too.
In any case, they're going to announce the new mainline next month so it will be a while until we get news for a possible SF2 remake or remaster.
Well, SF2 definitely needs >year
next to scenario name. That game was my first ''encounter'' with M. Hamauzu, which is why it has a special place in my heart.
I heard that Unlimited is really complicated / complex.

Unlimited's pretty complex but the degree of complexity is largely overblown, it actually streamlines many mechanics from the previous games to a cleaner and more efficient format, it's the game that got rid of things like sparking tables for instance.
The thing about Unlimited is that it filters people through its minimalistic presentation and the fact that it's a dungeon crawler with a virtual tabletop aesthetic, this came out in the early 00's where people were all about 3D CGI, so Unlimited was literal kryptonite from a basic presentation point of view.
Then the mechanics were a massive remix of previous SaGa games, with a lot of changes and elaboration on certain things, which further filtered a lot of people, admittedly the localized manuals being terrible didn't help the game either, but it's genuinely really good outside of a couple of mechanical details that needed more work, honestly very ahead of its time too which is why its influence is still felt in the modern SaGa entries.

Well you can't simply jump into Unlimited blind. It took me ten minutes and then i had to look up a PDF of the game manual online because I had no clue how to leave town. Then I read you initiate adventures from the inn.
I think of it as a Japanese Style Role Playing Game. The JRPG and WRPG marker doesn't feel meaningless to me, but at the same time it seems silly to call Bug Fables a WRPG and Paper Mario a JRPG.
because I don't want to play through a story with the same old tired tropes and likely beat for beat identical narrative that the previous installments had only this time with a different airheaded female fanservice character.
Because I don't want to play through an "rpg" with zero reactivity or choice in how the narrative is shaped.
Because I don't want to sit through the same shitty voice acting be it japanese or english dub with zero pathos.
unless we're playing chrono trigger, I will play the SHIT out of chrono trigger
>At least CT has some choice and reactivity
Where? Choosing whether you kill Magus or not?
Have you ever played JRPGs with actual reactivity?
Oh wait of course you haven't, you're a triggerBlack person, you people don't play JRPGs, or RPGs in general.
(not that anon)
Even though I have digital versions of RS2 and RS3 on both Switch and PS4 (plus SaGa Frontier on PS4, Scarlet Grace on Switch, and The Last Remant on Switch and PS4), my friend gave my phys RS3 for Switch and now I had to order RS2 and Minstrel Song.
Such a great series...except for Scarlet. That game is too experimental for me.

I've been playing Dark Cloud.
Having the Tsukikage feels like a dream. I always thought you had to do an ass load of fishing to buy it with points when I was younger. Can't believe I just happened to build up a weapon into becoming the Tsukikage.
The thing looks so fricking cool, I almost don't want to build it up further.
damnit op you made me download the models from this game because I'm looking for cat paw gloves for my own 3D models and it's not in the files I downloaded
Enjoying it quite a bit with the exception of three things.
1. durrhurr funnay jokes in what is supposed to be serious moments
2. fusion monster designs being a massive step down compared to 1
3. getting ambushed by random encounters who then absolutely ruin your shit on the first turn 4. I don't know if this is just the internet being funny or not, but I've heard that the church guy was initially supposed to be the protagonist and it was later changed to 1's protag. Yuri is not as engaging in this game as he was in 1 so yeah. If that is true, huge wasted potential.
DS2 invasions are extremely boring because phantoms and invaders can't heal besides slow miracles.
One mistake or lag spike in DS2 vs an UGS and you're in one shot range, leading to very lame builds on both sides.
This makes players use spear/rapier pokespam builds and one shot mage builds because ganks are unmanageable when they can trade and you can't.
DS3's system with 1/2 estus and regaining estus on killing phantoms is perfect, allowing for constamt back and and forth on both sides with HP values for both COOPers and the invader going from 100% to 10% and back several times during the encounter.
I played Crystar. I have very mixed feelings about it because the aesthetics, story and characters were great but the gameplay was a slog due to nonexistent enemy variety and level design. That said, the upcoming followup Crymachina looks a lot more fun so I'm looking forward to that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etpKNC9u8PM
Because I have no idea which JRPG to play on my hacked fat PS2 with an SSD and a noctua fan mod and a GBS-C I made. Probably Dragon Quest but I'm not sure. When I was a kid I never had a PS2 and only played a couple of fighting games and some Naruto game at a friend's house.
I was playing Nier Replicant and the game keeps upping the ante on how to annoy me. I like the mystery and creepy elements but the gameplay just sucks so I'm going to watch a playthrough of it.
Don't really have anything to play until Star Ocean 2 in November. I've been wanting to play Suikoden but I figured I might as well just wait until the remaster if the October rumors are true.
I own 3 unbeaten JRPGs right now >Ni No Kuni >FF7 Remake >DQ11
And whenever I try to play any of them, they make me realize how little I enjoy videogames these days. I just don’t have the energy to go through the process of talking to NPCs constantly, grinding, etc. I only enjoyed one (1) new videogame this year, but I keep buying them. Kinda depressing!
I've been inside Maruki's palace for months now, almost having finished Persona 5R a while back. I marathoned it hard it was so engrossing, but I got burnt out.
I need to sit down and finish it. Just thinking about starting P4 or getting the P3 remake whenever it does come out has me feeling dizzy however.
I'm playing through Lightning Returns, finished 2 main quests and some sidequests.
Not a fan of the timer mechanic, I'm constantly looking at it and trying to rush shit instead of going at my own pace with taking in the world/exploration.
The combat is good, way better than the first two games in the trilogy.
No more guessing which weapon to upgrade, or grinding for monster crystals.

Wait. Are you saying that Dark Souls 2 is the best one? hahaha
(it actually is, SOTFS version I mean)
All never Souls games, and Souls clones, just seem like rush-to-boss simulator to me. There is no joy in exploration anymore.
>Are you saying that Dark Souls 2 is the best one?
No. DS2 is the last good one. BB and onward are mediocre action games imo.
JRPG more like GAY RPG
The Op pic looks pretty straight to me tho.
JRPG is a racist term, just say RPG, there is no need to separate between the west and east.
Thanks for reminding me to work out.
im busy playing good games
Was the Fairy Tail RPG any good?
Is the story something from the manga or is it an original story?
Original story.
It's comfy and adapts a few arcs from the series. It's more for the fans though, since there are a lot of original (good) character interactions.
Wish they made something like this for MHA instead of One's Justice.

If you have Synthesis unlocked, see if you can use synthesis on your tri-Emblem. You should be able to put something on it. I don't think there are ''locked'' slots on it, anon. There are 4 slots per equipment; you just don't see the slot like in every other RPG that has this mechanic. Instead, there is a blank ''spot''.
was it fun? I'm kinda interested in buying it during the next steam sale.
absolutely, but doesnt run good at least on my pc im on a ryzen 5 2400g, 16gb ram, rtx 2060, the game pretty much runs at 30-40 fps in the cities (i dont care so much about this) but stays at 60 in battles, and the other problem i had was that the camera moves by itself, it has a fix (changing the resolution of your screen before entering the game and shit like that is one of them) honestly this game went from im getting a refund as soon as i got the camera problem to the point im now in the last post game dungeon and thinking that maybe i'll try the new difficulty option when i finish it lmao. the game is pretty fun in combat and to my surprise i had a lot of fun exploring the maps too
damn I didn't even realize that a new one had come out. i liked SO5 a lot and Fiore was sex.
havent heard anything good about 5, other than fiore was cute but yeah give 6 a try. ohh i havent said anything about the music but motoi was excellent here, a lot of good tracks, raymond battle theme is nice but even field maps have a lot of love.
Thanks anon, will probably end up buying it then.
I have to leave for work in a bit and in the JRPG I am in the middle of, Monark, I am about to hit another big cutscene
I'm 130 hours into Xenoblade 3 (hard mode and doing 100% completion). I like the game but once I finish it I will never play it again.
In 20 years you might want to play again
>Xenoblade3
I'm just finishing off the last of the ascension sidequests.
Wasn't expecting turkin feels. Ghondor still a shit however.
I literally just saw that scene like an hour ago
kek thats how I feel about a lot of long and open world games. I get really into the first playthrough but its such an insane time sink theres no chance I'll ever play it again. Just thinking about having to redo all the hero quests to get and ascend the classes and skills I want makes me want to vomit.
Japan needs to stop sexualizing women. This is absolutely disgusting.
Kishida stopped this in 2022 summer by Banning bikini from Jap anime and console game. Pic rel is random chink indie.
Is this worth playing if I'm not into OP?
That's Fairy Tail, not One Piece...
frick me, I can't tell the difference. Either way, worth playing?
If you know nothing at all about FT I really can't recommend it since it starts after the timeskip. Maybe read or watch some of FT and see if the characters are fun to you then it'll be a great game to play.
I started Tales of Berseria and im finishing all the super bosses from Xb3
>these weebs aren’t playing Baldur’s Gate 3 now
I played Divinity and it didn't grab me. Why is everyone sucking off Baldurs Gate now? Isn't it the same kinda game.
Return of a beloved IP that has brought people that don't play CRPG's into CRPG's and showed that there is a proper market for them. Also DnD is popular as a trend again so there's that bandwaggoner too.
Larian memeshit aside.
I don't play Larian trash or CRPGs in general outside of the rare indie that is somewhat passable like Underrail, sorry, not sorry.
don't have the time right now due to work in like half an hour
I don't play WRPGs because they aren't fun to play as games imo. I liked Witcher 2 and 3 though.
I don't want to play a Seattle dating simulator. Or another Larian game with a shitty 3rd act. I most certainly don't want to pay to play it. Or have it take up 134 GB of my storage space.
Anon, you are replying to a baiter who does not even have the game.
I'm techincally playing BG3 right now, can start Act 2 whenever I want but the romance stuff is killing me. I just want to be friends with half of these characters but every time I try to be nice to Astarian or Wyll, they try to frick me me. It really kills my urge to even interact with my party members if that's how its going to be
What kind of society does she live in were she can meander about with her hooters on full display without the fear of rape?
A magic one where she can just beat the ass of 95% of guys trying shit.
holy sex
My dick. MY DICK
bawd
I look like this and dance like this.
No and No.
Dance like that in my bedroom
How is this not sexist towards women
She is sexing towards men
what's wrong with being sexy?
Funny how she ends up getting ryona'd most of the time.
>What kind of society does she live in were she can meander about with her hooters on full display without the fear of rape?
Not India.
Because they suck ass.
If i wanted a 50 hour nihilistic expose about morals and gods i would join a church.
Bible barely have e-girl and the first arc is too chuuni.
Its an inherently inferior genre.
I am, I'm playing through Grandia. It's fantastic
if there are no sex scenes in this game you are a moron and wasted your money
>games are worth buying if they have sex in them!!!
what kind of incel logic is that, literally just watch porn moron
moronic normalgay
I'm in a CRPG mood
How about a Japanese CRPG?
Now this is a first for me. A Japanese CRPG might be interesting.
99% of the people who play LD get filtered, Passage of the Book is also very rough at the start, rougher than your average SaGa and most people in here are too stupid to figure out those games.
Sadly censord.
Playing Grandia, having a blast.
No, I'm an adult, and like millions of adults out there, I'm playing Baldur's Gate 3.
Yep, I'm still enjoying Trails of Reverie very much.
>Trails of Fanfiction
nisa sucks
Its mostly memes because Rean is clearly a creators pet and the writer absolutely adores him, making him far more important that a lot of other characters.
Retcons aren't as bad as some people say but certain things are omitted but are still canon, just not mentioned (apparently) even when they should be in the specific contexts.
Cold Steel (mostly III & IV) are still good games but they just aren't AS good if you ask me
The /fg/ and /vrpg/ circlejerks exaggerate their shortcomings a lot
played hajimari, finishing kuro but i paused it to play some hl2
Cant, busy making one, it's quirky and about depression.
cummed
I like JRPGs and Gust games
Is the Fairy Tail game good, as someone that thinks Fairy Tail is a steaming hot pile of shit (mostly because the animation is garbo)
I am actually. It's called Caravan Stories for the PS4 and PS5
>her, ultear, minerva and a few others were never made playable even though they appear as guest characters in your party
Fricking hell man
Maybe they would've been added as DLC if the game made the money. They made Lyon playable with Levy, Lisanna and Elfman.
Maybe it will get new DLC 4 years later like PW4.
I'm playing chrono Kino and Koudelka.
I used to play nothing but RPGs
Now I play nothing but action/arcade games
Using this thread to ask if I should I play Final Fantasy 10 or Atelier Ryza? I'm semi-new to JRPGs
On one hand I've read that FF10 is a must play and one of the best JRPGs ever, on the other hand Atelier is more modern and it has Ryza's fat thighs
all the ryza games are boring as frick, shes popular because of the design (and porn)
play ff
You don't have any standards so I'm sure you can enjoy either gutter trash like Final Fantasy or Nu-Atelier
You do need to play bad games to get some taste in the first place, might as well do it now
FF10 is the better game and is modern enough, nothing about it will feel archaic even to a zoomer unless you absolutely hate turn based systems for some reason
FFX unless you just want a lower stakes game and stare at anime girls.
Final Fantasy X
Atelier Ryza is good, but Final Fantasy X is legendary and will be way more satisfying both mechanically and story wise. Ignore
they're a weirdo with bad taste.
Ryza has better gameplay but normalgays will tell you FFX because it has le epic story and corridors with no exploration
I mean, both eventually but FFX is a fantastic game, can't recommend it enough. The story is great, characters are great, gameplay is super satisfying, it's got beautiful art direction, etc. etc. It's a classic for a reason.
im on the toilet rn, maybe later.
didnt ask
Good joke, but she's in coma and says nothing.
They aren't good anymore
I need to finish Atelier Rorona's Overtime. Getting absolutely destroyed in the first new area by the first boss with what I thought was the best possible equipment I could give my characters kinda killed my desire.
Esty Dee xDD
I'm playing Lightning Returns
I love e-girlghtning
Ignore bikinischizo
I've finished over 100 JRPGs (I counted), ask me anything
Who is your favorite dfc party member?
My absolutely favorite would be Archer (Disgaea), but I also really like Etna (Disgaea), Elize Lutus (Tales of Xillia), Magilou (Tales of Berseria), Lucina (Fire Emblem: Awakening) and Sakura (Fire Emblem Fates).
Serena from Dragon Quest XI is not truly flat but her chest is really small and I like her a lot too.
Disgaea Archers have canonically evolved to have flat chests so that they can wield their bows better.
That's one of the few series I've never touched actually
>I can't believe people criticized the gambit system in Final Fantasy XII then play this shit.
Gambit system in Final Fantasy XII: The Phantom Menace IS bad because it makes the game too easy. If you set just ONE gambit
>Attack Enemy: _______
and do all other shit manually (skills, spells, items) the game becomes much more fun. And even with that, I would sy that it's easier than Xenoblade 2
Dragon Quest 11 is dogshit, tho.
Why is she so flat?
Give a score from 1 to 10 to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Dragon Quest 11.
Is playing JRPGs worth it at all?
can you recommend the wild arms series?
>claims to have finished over 100 jarpigs
>any of the Wild Arms is not one of them
Good to know from the beggining what exactly your opinion is worth to me ,i wish more hsiteaters were as straightforward from the getgo as you are.
I am playing Trails into Reverie though
I haven't played a JRPG since I tried and disliked Xenoblade 3
I think I might try some of the breath of fire games soon or final fantasy games before 7
playing Ryza 2
endy is so strong
game?
20 hours into my P5R 100% run. Probably still 80-100h left. After that i was planning on playing Trails of cold steel.
I love jarpigs
Coomer stuff can make good game even better but never alone make game good. Code Vein is pure example.
Just finished Earthbound yesterday, ordered Etrian Odyssey Collection from PlayAsia. Either going to play Persona 5 or Xenoblade Chronicles while I wait for it to arrive.
I had a sudden urge to play through Final Fantasy X again, so I'm doing that.
I just woke up. I might play Triangle Strategy after i've had my breakfast
had to give up on that game like 15 hours in. i actually enjoyed the story but the combat was so shallow i was amazed. just very boring
For me, it's Erza.
Her mother is hotter.
I fricking love underboobs
Im pretty sure I'm too ADD for JRPGs now. I could barely push through Chrono Trigger which is short and not even turn based.
Which one has the best in-game feet models?
>my face when I am playing final fantasy 15 right now and it's actually good
why did the world lie to me?
Did she ever found out who's the father of her son lol?
No it isnt
frick you buddy
>''Goin' down!''
>goes up
wtf
Well, SF2 definitely needs
>year
next to scenario name.
Then the mechanics were a massive remix of previous SaGa games, with a lot of changes and elaboration on certain things, which further filtered a lot of people, admittedly the localized manuals being terrible didn't help the game either, but it's genuinely really good outside of a couple of mechanical details that needed more work, honestly very ahead of its time too which is why its influence is still felt in the modern SaGa entries.
goddamn as soon as i finish SO6 and yakuza ishin i'll play unlimited saga or minstrel song. i played scarlet grace a couple of months ago and the gameplay was excellent
Well you can't simply jump into Unlimited blind. It took me ten minutes and then i had to look up a PDF of the game manual online because I had no clue how to leave town. Then I read you initiate adventures from the inn.
I'm playing through Xenoblade 3 though
I'm playing Epic Battle Fantasy 3
That's not a JRPG, that's a WRPG
You know you can just not enter the thread of making posts like this
But OP asked
At least CT has some choice and reactivity
Can't say the same for all the xenoslop lately
>At least CT has some choice and reactivity
Where? Choosing whether you kill Magus or not?
Have you ever played JRPGs with actual reactivity?
Oh wait of course you haven't, you're a triggerBlack person, you people don't play JRPGs, or RPGs in general.
For me it's Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song and RS2.
If you think Scarlet is experimental, wait until they re-release Unlimited. Scarlet Grace is very heavy on combat, but I found the combat very addicting.
Even if it doesn't click with you at first, It'll grow on you once you get back to it, especially if you crave reactivity because holy shit does Scarlet Grace do reactivity well.
>dude you can like call lavos early and miss out on half the game lmao
Who give a shit moron
Seems like you do since you think Chrono Trigger is good
Maybe you should try playing Live A Live, homie
I’m not home
I've been playing Dark Cloud.
Having the Tsukikage feels like a dream. I always thought you had to do an ass load of fishing to buy it with points when I was younger. Can't believe I just happened to build up a weapon into becoming the Tsukikage.
The thing looks so fricking cool, I almost don't want to build it up further.
Because i'm working when i came home i going to try Scarlet Nexus
damnit op you made me download the models from this game because I'm looking for cat paw gloves for my own 3D models and it's not in the files I downloaded
But I am.
OH SHIT SHADOW HEARTS homieAA
kodelka and shadow hearts 1 are some of my favorites. 2 and 3 are too anime for me.
Enjoying it quite a bit with the exception of three things.
1. durrhurr funnay jokes in what is supposed to be serious moments
2. fusion monster designs being a massive step down compared to 1
3. getting ambushed by random encounters who then absolutely ruin your shit on the first turn
4. I don't know if this is just the internet being funny or not, but I've heard that the church guy was initially supposed to be the protagonist and it was later changed to 1's protag. Yuri is not as engaging in this game as he was in 1 so yeah. If that is true, huge wasted potential.
wow, i have to play shadow hearts 2-3 someday
for me, it's Wendy.
But I am.
Currently playing my favourite JRPG, Dark Souls 3.
>Playing DaS3 when Dark Souls 2 is the better game
Source
fairy tail
Why does she dress like a prostitute?
Because she is my prostitute
She is not a prostitute?
Sorry, never saw Fairy trail.
If you had a body like that you would to flaunt it too.
How long is it
Took me 40 while doing everything, but if you're more sane and just start running past unnecessary fights you can probably clear it in 25 or so.
still pretty long
Mira is underrated
i want to mari jane
I can't play unless there's jap audio.
Because I have no idea which JRPG to play on my hacked fat PS2 with an SSD and a noctua fan mod and a GBS-C I made. Probably Dragon Quest but I'm not sure. When I was a kid I never had a PS2 and only played a couple of fighting games and some Naruto game at a friend's house.
play rogue galaxy
Really? Over any other PS2 JRPG as my first one on the system?
yes, it's a great game
Wild arms 3.
Looks swaggier than Rogue Galaxy.
Is Fear & Hunger 2: Termina a jrpg? Because I'm hooked on that
I'm playing rune factory 4 and can't decide who to wife.
more like dairy tale amirite
I was playing Nier Replicant and the game keeps upping the ante on how to annoy me. I like the mystery and creepy elements but the gameplay just sucks so I'm going to watch a playthrough of it.
is this the e-girles the bg3 larian trannies keep talking about?
Don't really have anything to play until Star Ocean 2 in November. I've been wanting to play Suikoden but I figured I might as well just wait until the remaster if the October rumors are true.
I prefer good games
Holy shit my sides
I discovered that porn Manga is much more efficient.
I own 3 unbeaten JRPGs right now
>Ni No Kuni
>FF7 Remake
>DQ11
No more guessing which weapon to upgrade, or grinding for monster crystals.
playing persona 4 golden for the first time right now. i am playing on very hard and i'm in Mitsuo Kubo's dungeon right now. i really love his boss music.
Just finished gold rarefying most of my equipment in DD. Gonna dive a bit deeper into bbi before resetting to hard mode.
15h into Blue Reflection. Liking Fumio the best so far.
FF16 was the last one I played, 70 hours and had a grand time. Nothing else in JRPG land has been as good so I am waiting for granblue relink.
Figuring out what to play on these next 2 days off of work.
Odds I continue playing BG3
Evens I play Path of Exile for the first time
Oh what the frick
Roll agane
