Played it a few times with friends, it's absolute kino
the first few runs, then it kinda gets stale
yeah had a similar experience. Its fantastic going through blind with other fresh installs, but once you figure out how to deal with the enemies it becomes a fairly plain game. Absolutely worth it for the first few hours alone though
that's when you install mods
Why is HiFi Rush there? It's a singleplayer game.
singleplayer 15 hour action game...doesn't have year long player retention?
What will le investors think?
A game that cost a pittance to make with almost zero expectations shattered their expected targets. Investors are happy.
That's the issue, I know I'd love this game but it will be dead in 10 minutes and the community evaporated.
I pay 10 bucks to go to a movie theater and watch a shitty 6/10 movie once, and pay 30 bucks for the accompanying popcorn
But for some reason a 10$ videogame has to last me a decade?
>I pay 10 bucks to go to a movie theater and watch a shitty 6/10 movie once
Why? Do you have no self-respect?
Believe it or not this is a normal thing for people to do on a friday night
You don't have to watch shit.
I don't generally burn my money on shit. If I watch a movie I only watch a good movie, especially if I have to pay for it.
>If I watch a movie I only watch a good movie
There are no good movies just like there are no good games
Weird place to spend your time posting in tbh
Likewise
There's plenty of good movies.
Taken as a collection of visual images for art? Maybe. Movies generally are not good when they’re being financed to push a forced message onto a captive audience.
What does this even mean?
That's not me, moron.
Heaven's Gate's only good part is its cinematography.
False but if you feel like that then just watch another movie, I won't force you. There's plenty of good movies to choose from.
It's not false. 3/4 of the movie is just fricking boring.
Opinions. I thought it was very interesting. Do you think Tarkovsky is boring too?
>If I watch a movie I only watch a good movie
>I pay 10 bucks to go to a movie theater and watch a shitty 6/10 movie once
You can substitute the cinema with a million other transient forms of entertainment, the point is the difference in standards.
Fatass NEETS will Doordash themselves a burger and fries with coke for $30 every other day for the privilege of inhaling them in 10 minutes and spending an hour on the shitter the next day, then complain about a $10 game only lasting 6-8 hours (that they can then replay later if they want, unlike their liquid shits).
A moronic b***h legitimately thought my Gondolin wallpaper was Hogwarts.
playyas be like "this game doesnt have 5k consevutive players anymore, its dead now" and then you see butfucckker 3d made in 1996 with 50 dudes still playing it and making new mpas, mods n shiet for it and the community patch that renasters it. If the servers for those fotm games arent shut down and they keep selling them then those games will most likely stay alive
Hopefully they are not moronic and do content drops in big patches instead of drip feeding them.
If the dev can create more moons and more monsters there will be more room for replayability.
For example, creating more biomes (storm, rain, fog, fire...) mixing with rank of the planet, plus random seed of monsters inside, random new rooms, maybe expanding about the company, how to use new weapons, new fall pits, upgrading your ship...
Doesn't need a lot, just a little bit of everything and with the random generation it already gives much.
I know all about the monsters but it stills makes me anxious wanting to meet the quota and hearing my buddies dying
Honestly, I like those videos of giant crews, if they could make it so you, as a host, could level up and you could start a game with a giant spaceship commanding a big group it could be great.
I want to see at least two more interior types in the future.
>Ancient ruins, stone walls and vines and shit.
>Some Gigeresque/Event Horizon shit.
>singleplayer game
>fotm
what?
>70% of the equipment is useless, very niche or incredibly expensive for what it is
>outside map isn't randomly generated
>inside map is just 5 pre-made rooms arranged randomly
>the best strat is bumrushing without any equipment
I really don't see the appeal past the 2 hour mark, i have no idea how people have dozens of hours in a game without any kind progression
>i have no idea how people have dozens of hours in a game without any kind progression
so there's this thing called "having fun" that you can do without having external rewards. You should try it sometime.
Call of Duty mind on display right here.
Autistic morons.
>not prowling around as a 2 man squad with the shovel and zap obliterating all enemies in your path
>not having a dedicated loot goblin who runs all the scrap from the front door
>not having a dedicated van man who informs the assault team on enemy and loot positions
you won't make it past 2k quota by randomly running around gearless and jobbing to brackens, get good moron
being able to be the dude in the chair has been my favorite thing about this game. Had a moment last night with my brother
>I'm carrying back a core in the dark, he's in the ship guiding me back
>he starts talking on the walkie-talkie
>"Man, I think there's some big monster over here, whole place is shaking"
>"Yep, there's definitely something out there"
>"Oh god it's getting closer...wait...OH GOD IT'S IN THE SHIP IT'S IN THE-"
>radio cuts to static
>mfw
>here I am with a bunch of loot on my back with a friend and needs to make a jump.
>asked him to carry a little bit
>he says he trusts me to carry everything and do the jump
>I just jump and go straight to the hole
Yup. Carrying a lot fricks your stamina.
>70% of the equipment is useless
It's for having fun
>buy jetpack
>we don't make quota
>get back to Company planet to turn in our pittance of scrap
>immediately grab jetpack and fly straight up, yell "SEE YA LATER homosexualS I QUIT"
>reach map boundary and explode
>jetpack gets lost up there, friend seethes at my corpse for it because he wanted to do that
>multiplayer zoomer FOTM
>Hi-Fi Rush
These threads always get spammed, but answer me this:
What is wrong with a FOTM?
usually are bad games that are only played because they got heavily marketed rather than because they are fun
>heavily marketed single developer indie game
streamer marketing
streamer parasites aren't videogames
Zoomers are desperate for “game I sink 300 hours of life into” like they have with Fortnite due to massive stagnation of games that any game of remote promise must become a GAAS so they keep their dopamine burnt brains going.
Battlebit mindbroke bf2042troons thoughever, 8k daily peaks still
I played it two days ago. Still enjoy it. I'll probably play today. Just hit 125.
>tfw building a sandbag bunker and repelling a push with your LMG
should be v rising or whatever it's called instead of hi-fi rush lol
I'd rather play fotm than anything AAA or some indie troony garbage
>playing yet another streamer bait that doesn't offer anything interesting after one play session
It's gonna die in a week when streamers move on to other games. Devs won the lottery tho, if they are smart they gonna take the money and disappear forever.
Valheim and battlebit were never good tho
It's fun but there is a serious lack of content. With how much it blew up, I wouldn't be surprised if the dev takes the money and runs. Hopefully he continues updating it tho, I'm sure he quit his day job by now.
You know the guy was 21 right. I'm sure he's overwhelmed with the surge of popularity.
This is why I hate early access so much. So many games are really just flavor of the month shit and maybe thats be fine at a certain price point, but they spend that entire time of popularity in a shitty unfinished state
>Hi-Fi Rush in the same league as Battlebit and Lethal Company
Sure everyone sang their praises but at the end of the day, the only people who played it were the small number of people remaining who still rigorously enjoy straight forward single player games.
And I'm not talking about gays who stop to play one single player game a year made by sony and say "omg I love single player games" I mean people who are playing a new single player game every month. Actual ludo enthusiasts.
Thinking about playing valheim again. Have the updates been substantial?
when did you stop? Mistlands afforded me and my friend another 15-20 hours with the game. Haven't tried out the trader's thicc sister update yet, she gives out quests to clear some unique dungeons and new mini bosses from what I've heard
I still see some of my friends playing Battlebit together daily.
I don't think a game can be considered dead just because you're the one who got bored and moved on.
>TOTK wasn't even flavor of the month, it dissapointed so much
