That RPG that came out at the end of Season 1 was pretty decent. Even had a cameo from the fat man himself, and could have possibly been canon until D&D fricked it all up.
Because it was a shitty soap opera where the only interesting thing, the ice zombies, was constantly pushed to the back burner for more soap opera bullshit
The show was great up until the writers intentionally tanked it. It's hard for me to even care about the series anymore.
This. Good game. Had stars from the show doing voice acting and it was good.
did they ever even explain why/what the ice zombies are in the show?
The children of the forest made them to protect themselves from humans. But they lost control of the ice zombies. Children of the forest are just woodland sprites, and can't fight well on their own. So they resorted to transforming regular men into ice zombies to fight on their behalf.
>Starts lobbing fricking thermal detonators
And the funniest part is humans were just fricking guys, they didn't have dragons or magicians of their own. The Children of the Forest fricking suck.
Actually, the humans were first men with warging abilities. That's why the main white walkers are capable of controlling zombies on their own.
Imagine you, a normal human, has to fight an army of grizzlybears. Not only are they way larger than stronger than you, they're also better coordinated than you, more numerous than you, and better equipped than you. You'd get trampled in a second. But now say you have a magical ability to convert grizzlybears to your side. You would be dumb not to use it.
I thought Wharging came from blanda'ing up with the Forest folk
It probably did. The histories are muddied. But there might have been interbreeding before children and men fought.
Imagine the tightness.
Konnichiwa Dude!
That makes no fricking sense.
The White Walkers were thousands of years old, coming from the time preceding the Age of Heroes. Born of powerful and untested magic, they were created to protect the Children of the Forest from the First Men, who had waged war on them ever since they had arrived from Essos. However, the White Walkers eventually broke free of the Children's control and became the most feared creatures in Westeros, posing a threat to all life.[1]
Eight thousand years before Robert's Rebellion, the longest winter in history fell on the entire world and lasted a whole generation. In the darkness and cold of the "Long Night," the White Walkers descended upon Westeros from the Far North, killing all in their path and reanimating the dead as wights to serve as mindless soldiers in their undead army. The people of Westeros soon realized they had to rally together or the White Walkers would kill them all. In a conflict known as the Battle for the Dawn, the living won a decisive victory and pushed the White Walkers far north to the Lands of Always Winter. With help from giants and the Children of the Forest, the Wall was raised to bar their return. The Night's Watch was founded to guard the Wall and the realms of men should the mysterious threat ever rise again.
And yet all it took to win was some half-wienered goblin girl with a fancy knife to break the hecking scary ice-men.
Ice zombies were the least interesting part of the show and what eventually killed it
We did, ridiculously kino actually
Der Juden
Has she done anything of note since the show ended?
That's not even her.
I seem to remember she did later on.
Had multiple strokes
Terminator Genesys.
She did a Terminator movie and the Han Solo Star Wars movie. She was also a major character in that Marvel Secret Invasion show
what is this body type called?

A Total War ASOIAF should have happened but never did.
ASOIAF is just poor man's Elder Scrolls.
Skyrim had more intriguing politics, more epic battles, and far more engrossing lore.
Never played Skyrim. Never will. So I'm going to have to say ASOIAF is better.
Literal cück mentality.
Your books will never be completed. The fat frick will keep fricking around and never finish the job. He's written himself into a corner anyway. D&D's garbage will be recoded in history as the canon storyline.
You could be enjoying Todd's hand-crafted masterpieces RIGHT NOW, but you choose to suffer and make your own life worse.
It's not cuck mentality, because I have zero desire to play Skyrim. Every time I look at it, it looks like a fricking joke to me. You can only be a cuck if you don't get what you desire.
Despite the books being unfinished, the world is already thick with lore and symbolism. I couldn't even begin to explain the depths to you, because it would require explaining a great tapestry of mythology that weaves the whole story together. And I doubt you care about any of that.
I know everything there is to know about ASIOAF, I have seen the show and I've read about the book specific stuff/differences on wiki and reddit threads.
It's great, but if it is never being finished then that automatically knocks off 5/10 points for me. And I still think TES lore and stories are better.
>I know everything there is to know about ASIOAF
Doubtful. Do you know of the youtube channel "David Lightbringer"? If no, then I bet your ASOIAF education is severely lacking.
He will show you that nearly every sentence in the books are dripping with symbolism. George writes in 4D.
>TES lore
A few bits here and there are good, but most of them are in books no one reason, and they are less and less a part of the game with each game
Skyrim lore is laughable
>TES stories
If you mean the games, frick no, the stories are all the most cookie cutter, generic 'you are the chosen one' bullshit ever made, it's insultingly bad.
This is horrible bait, Skyrim is easily one of the worst worlds Bethesda ever created and that's saying a frickload.
Cringe post.
I bet you just rushed through the main quest like an ADHD zoom-zoom and didn't even read the books, discover side quests and participate in skyrim discussions on reddit and Ganker.
Name a single good questline in Skyrim. We'll wait, and then collectively laugh you out of the thread.
I've probably been on this shithole longer than you've been alive, and I've NEVER seen a single fricking person defend Skyrim's stories.
If you've already decided that you're going to label everything in the game as bad, then you aren't arguing in good faith and this discussion is pointless.
Figured as much. Out the thread you go, at least you saved yourself some embarrassment.
TES has better worldbuilding, richer history and deeper lore than ASOIAF. Definitely not Skyrim.
TES hasn't given a single frick about lore since Morrowind.
The same reason naruto has never got a good game, the source material is bad.
>The same reason naruto has never got a good game
wtf are these new characters
doesn't even look like naruto anymore
Because it isn't, Kishimoto isn't the one drawing it, it's one of his e-girlgay assistants.
Naruto had a son and a daughter. Shortly after Naruto ended, the mangaka started a series about the son. Once interest started dying, he made enemies powerful enough to take on Naruto and Sasuke. The series has largely been about godly power levels ever since.
naruto shippuden is some of the best kino ever
(but madara is the good guy and won. everything after is genjutsu in naruto's fake world)
The world is very poorly written. Everything revolves around the leaf village and all other villages are worthless jobbers with nothing going on for them.
We all agree that only the four first seasons were good right?
the world isnt actually interesting. there's not much magic or fantasy. theres like 2 dragons ever. everything else is a reenactment of medieval euro royalty incest drama
...I was going to say you probably didn't read the books, but if you're saying there's only two dragons, when there's a ton more, plus giants, alchemy, direwolves, shadow demons, tree children, warlocks, etc etc then you probably didn't even watch the show, let alone the books.
cope redditor
world is boring
we did
Because a show that's 99% political intrigue doesn't translate well into videogames, other than a telltale game, which already exists (no idea if it's good or not, never played it, telltale games seem boring as shit)
