>lost in transit or stolen off front porch >deck has dead pixels, backlight bleed, sticky buttons, fan that rattles, suboptimal battery health, case shell parting, joystick drift and audio fuzz on the headphone jack
many such cases
>was thinking about buying an oled >now there's articles saying how big of an upgrade the Steam Deck 2 will be in a leak
well frick guess im waiting for the 2nd one then
dont want to end up like one of those guys who bought thr LCD deck just before the OLED got announced
yea there's no way that leak is real
the only leaked info that came out for the OLED was a new wifi module which had to come through regulatory agencies, the 90hz display, better battery, etc. was not known until the day it launched.
>slated for 2026
yeah that's basically what valve already said because they are waiting for new architecture. this is just chinkers speculating like tendies
If you're not in a rush then no need. Oled has its own issues such as the screen draw and the hardware is still outdated struggling to run 2023 games without tons of tweaks and patches. Deck 2 will certainly be able to play all modern games.
My advice is that if you really, REALLY, need a portable handheld for whatever reason just get a rog ally.
mobo wiring is different but the chip is the same, they just reduced the die by 1nm

Even if only the wiring was different, making it in 6nm instead of 7nm makes it more expensive anon. Why more expensive if deck flop?

Chip isn't the same. The first chip was used in both the Deck and some other non-Valve device. The new chip is entirely for the Deck and has a bunch of stuff removed from the die.

Why did you say this? This is factually documented. It used to have AI cores that are disabled in the Deck, these cores aren't available on the die shrink.

Whoa.... flopped and shittedbros, how do we recover from this?

Valve, a 7.7 billion dollar company, has sold less devices than the N-Gage and just barely more -literal- cardboard than Nintendo (LABO).

Sure you aren't. Name a single flopped product that sells more units year by year.

And Valve, a private company, doesn't have to meet a certain amount of units shipped. As long as they believe in the product, and they can afford to sell them (aka not causing them detrimental losses) then the Deck is successful in their eyes.
No eyelashes
many people saying this
have to say anon...you're absolutely right

It's not even out in most places yet.
come to brasil
>too overpriced for just old emulation and indie games
>too weak for any real gayman
every time you make a thread about the deck, i buy 3 of them
It lets me play Darkest Dungeon at work so I say it’s money well spent
Because getting a working unit without manufacturing flaws is borderline impossible
Both of mine have been fine.

It got more popular thanks to Christmas sales. Although if the sales have ended I would definitely not pay full price for one.
Me and my wife boughted Asus ROG Allys. My son loves it too.
if deck flop... why new version?
recoup costs for AMD partnership and agreement to bulk chipsets
If deck flop... why not cut losses?
who is going to buy a pile of integrated zen2 shitslop that really only has utility in a single form factor
But SteamDeck revision uses new chip, its a revision of the old model in 6nm that wasnt made before. If Steamdeck flop... why new chip?

Most people don't even do that shit, only insecure homosexuals who want to showoff sign up to it.
i do the survey to do my part in reducing the chinese numbers and increasing vr
>more people bought hardware that is also going to play Steam games
Okay?
I can't even remember the last time I was asked for the survey. Is there an option in steam settings?

It didn't, but keep repeating that falsehood.

floppersons? shittersons? how bout I'm doin none of em
i don't get it but it's pretty clear the deck flopped and shitted extremely fricking badly as frick
t.
emulation sucks ass. People buy Switch in droves to play Switch games on it, not on a gay-ass linuxshit console
this. only reason to own a deck is to emulate switch games and it can't even do that well
sold my deck ebay and modchipped my switch OLED and never looked back
Switch can't run RPCS3 at a decent framerate. Meanwhile I can play all souls games, Demon's Souls at 45 fps consistently, to Elden ring at 40 fps.
switch can't run anything at a decent framerate
You play that dreck? Dreck on the deck, with best in class faps per second. Cancer brain
I doubt they sell on india
Poor product design?
