Because Ganker is smarter than you.
You consume this gay James Bond gay slop like the moron you are.
You've obviously never played the original hitman games.
You'd probably champion absolution as some hot shit like the homosexual you are.
Frick off.
This is true but III also includes 1 and 2. It's fair to consider it all one big game. Pick your favorite 2-4 maps per game and the amount of content is staggering.
For me, it's:
Paris
Sapienza
Hokkaido
Miami
Whittleton Creek
Isle of Sgail
Haven Island
Dubai
Dartmoor
There. That's like 200 hours of 10/10 content, and another 50 if you include B tier maps like New York or Berlin.
I like 3 but I have to admit 1 has the most effort put into it. 1 has special holiday missions and alternate versions of their maps (mostly night time shit), while 2 and 3 have nothing like it. I'm also surprised that freelancer mode doesn't use the other version of maps like sapienza at night.
This. As a fan of stealth games and Hitman it's like a dream game and one of the best ever just in terms of the amount of content and game modes. It's just lacking the kino atmosphere and music of SA-Contracts-BM but I actually kind of like the sleek Bond-esque aesthetic of WoA for what it's worth. Hopefully now that they're making an actual Bond game they'll bring back the grit for the next Hitman.
Unimaginative level that doesn't represent Bangkok in any way. There's only one real path to the top floor if you're doing SASO. Much of the level is unused, Ken is a very dull and easy target. And they made it even worse in a subsequent patch since now there is only one possible exit.
Berlin is loud as frick and you cant see shit. The story mission is pretty cool, but doing other missions there sucks dick.
That last point is also kind of my main gripe with 3. It has great set pieces for the story mode but I don't like going to most of them for the roguelite mode.
Mumbai was sick on a first playthough imo. It sucks afterwards. The rest is true though, Marrakech is offensively terrible. Hitman 1 maps really are either great or dogshit
I honestly like Mumbai a lot, the only thing that I disliked from it is the whole train yard areas. I thought the slum and the mansion tower were just fun.
Marrakesh is okay and Bangkok sucks dicks
I hate Whittleton Creek. Probably one of the most pointless area in the game. Also the whole "collect evidence" or whatever sucks donkey butthole. Replaying that stage is such a slog.

>hating whittleton creek
it's like we didn't play the same game sometimes, it's literally one of the best levels in gaming history. are you guys just filtered by the clue finding or what?
My first Hitman was Silent Assassin in one of those PS2 blue demo discs, WoA is in my top 10 games of all time and easily the single best stealth experience in the last decade. I remember being skeptical as hell when 2016 was announced after the last game had been Absolution and the new one had the dreaded word "episodic" thrown around but frick me if they didn't deliver. Still mad they never released the full version of Champions of the Wild Side used in the H3 launch trailer
>and the new one had the dreaded word "episodic" thrown around
It's funny how they did their absolute best to ruin the franchise with bad business decisions but the game was just that good that they failed to do it.
IOI basically fricked over anyone who bought just hitman 1. All of the upgrade shit is for people who bought 2 and wanted to get into 3. And even then, depending on some bullshit, you would still have to buy the hitman 2 dlc unlock shit for 3 because I dunno.
They simplified it like crazy. Hitman III was $60 standalone forever, then last year they finally just included 1 and 2 along with it and named it WoA. Just buy it on sale.
Then Hitman 2 had way too much fricking handholding and the escalations were reduced a lot, gimping replayability to a point I didn't even feel like giving the 3rd a go.
I know that reddit loves the second more under the "quality over quantity" guise but 2 just fell short in both of those regards.
Also, did they run out of budget or why did they replace CGI movies with stills?
Oh and I forgot: Master mode or what it was called also got completely gimped in Hitman 2 because speed troons were complaining about the randomization.
Once again, speed troons killed my interest in the game.
square enix sold them back ownership and stopped publishing so they lost access to their CGI teams. it's a miracle they were able continue with their vision and be financially successful enough to save their company, square enix probably regrets it very much now lol.
They most probably had no money to do fancy cg because they bought the IP from square enix. But the animated cg movies are back in 3. But it sucks how 3 and 2 have actually lost some gameplay elements, like how the silverballers had the extra zoom in aiming with a tighter spread, ow how you could get frisked even while having illegal items.
Tell the frickers to show their 007 game already. I want a freelancer mode with create-an-agent and let me play as a woman so I can stare at female ass all the time.
I'll play it whenever they remove all the always online and live service bullshit and also perma-unlock all the removed FOMO content (elusive targets, costumes, item unlocks, etc)
As a 90s kid who played hitman silent assassin, contracts and bloodmoneh over and over again into infinity yet only played absolution once. I'm very hesitant about platinh the new ones. I played the recent demo, and though sure the map is big, I can't help but feel the game lacks soul, severely.
The biggest problem is the lack of Jesper kyd, who imo is one of the pillars of the golden trio early hitman.
The music in the demo was just sloppy.
Also another problem was that combat was too easy. The bugginess of old hitmans is what made close combat fun because it wasn't 100% reliable. And headbutting people is so much more satisfying.
It's just not good ok. The only mode worth played is hardest for sure. The instinct mode they introduced in absolution has to be the dumbest shit Iv ever seen
yea, did not like the instinct mode wallhacks they integrated into the game, I missed peaking through doors and having that sense of suspense. You literally have to turn off a shitload of options like npc icons, radar, story mode help, in order to enjoy hitman to its fullest.
Its just another case of dev's casualizing a game in order to reach a broader audience. every franchise that becomes mainstream does this.
ok.
Because Ganker is smarter than you.
You consume this gay James Bond gay slop like the moron you are.
You've obviously never played the original hitman games.
You'd probably champion absolution as some hot shit like the homosexual you are.
Frick off.
I played all original Hitman games. WoA is better than all of them by a mile. Now kys, nostalgiatroony.
>listening to Ganker
If you never played it sure, but if you've been playing nu-hitman since 2016, its fricking stale.
hitman 3 is objectively worse than 2 and 1
This is true but III also includes 1 and 2. It's fair to consider it all one big game. Pick your favorite 2-4 maps per game and the amount of content is staggering.

Christmas Paris is so God Damned comfy.
ok but miami
Miami is fricking great and I'm disappointed it doesn't have a night version of it or whatever.
H3 has the Dartmoor garden show where you unlock this beauty, at least
Fancy. engravings give you no tactical advantage whatsoever, not like 47 would need it anyways
I'm just curious at how meticulously you'd need to attach the suppressor so its engravings end perfectly aligned with those of the gun
I'm a no-guns gay but if I'm not mistaken, some suppressors that also have sights on them can be partially unscrewed so the sights can be aligned.
On console hitman 1 looks the best and has the most graphical options available. Unlocked frames etc. I only play hitman 1 on xbsx
Because Ganker is full of contrarian morons.
It doesn't suck by any means. Some people just think it's worse than the classic games in certain respects, like the atmosphere and soundtrack.
This. As a fan of stealth games and Hitman it's like a dream game and one of the best ever just in terms of the amount of content and game modes. >in certain respects
Shouldnt that be in certain aspects?
One of the greatest games of all time.
Hitman is one of my favorite game franchises, the WoA trilogy is fantastic.
Yont listen tou do Ganker on good games, its 70% trolls here, 20% weebs and 10% decent people
Hitman thread? Hitman thread.
Put Berlin at C and you'd have my tier list.
Why? Its fun.
Unimaginative level that doesn't represent Bangkok in any way. There's only one real path to the top floor if you're doing SASO. Much of the level is unused, Ken is a very dull and easy target. And they made it even worse in a subsequent patch since now there is only one possible exit.
yeah but the ability to make cross cower in fear makes it a b tier level at the least bud
Berlin is loud as frick and you cant see shit. The story mission is pretty cool, but doing other missions there sucks dick.
That last point is also kind of my main gripe with 3. It has great set pieces for the story mode but I don't like going to most of them for the roguelite mode.
whats wrong with bangkok.
All of the brown people levels are terrible. Bankock, Marrakesh, and Mumbai are the worst maps in the series.
I don't know why Sgail filters so many people. It's perhaps the most replayable and interesting map in the WoA trilogy,
literally same, god i fricking hate colorado
I hate Whittleton Creek. Probably one of the most pointless area in the game. Also the whole "collect evidence" or whatever sucks donkey butthole. Replaying that stage is such a slog.
>hating whittleton creek
it's like we didn't play the same game sometimes, it's literally one of the best levels in gaming history. are you guys just filtered by the clue finding or what?
seriously, what the FRICK were they thinking with colorado?
they probably wanted a map that felt intense because everyone is an enemy and there's no safe spots, except there are.
I'd put Mendoza one higher. The more I played it the more I enjoyed it.
It's not a bad game, it's a bald game
My first Hitman was Silent Assassin in one of those PS2 blue demo discs, WoA is in my top 10 games of all time and easily the single best stealth experience in the last decade. haha
pranked
I still dont understand the pricing. I have 1 and 2 but I still need to buy the entire "World of Assassination" pack to get 3?
Yes. Frick IOI, literal dogshit company and a reason I never bought the game after I played it on a free Gamepass month even though I loved it
IOI basically fricked over anyone who bought just hitman 1. All of the upgrade shit is for people who bought 2 and wanted to get into 3. And even then, depending on some bullshit, you would still have to buy the hitman 2 dlc unlock shit for 3 because I dunno.
I bought the special edition of 1 because it was the only way to get all of the chapters in an easy way. At least I got a nice statue of 47 out of it.
They simplified it like crazy. Hitman III was $60 standalone forever, then last year they finally just included 1 and 2 along with it and named it WoA. Just buy it on sale.
even on sale it's like 28 eurobucks to buy 3 + the stuff I already have. I think I'll just wait for a bigger discount then
everyone hated hitman absolution
until you play it and realize its the best game in the franchise
I tried to get into Absolution and it sucked. I couldn't stick at it. TBF I had just completed Blood Money though.
I might try Absolution again one day.
Hitman 1 was really fricking good.
Then Hitman 2 had way too much fricking handholding and the escalations were reduced a lot, gimping replayability to a point I didn't even feel like giving the 3rd a go.
I know that reddit loves the second more under the "quality over quantity" guise but 2 just fell short in both of those regards.

because according to Ganker it's new and therefore bad
they'll also be sucking its dick when the next one comes out
It's not on switch so bigtendies talk shit about it.
I thought it was one of those streaming shits
>IO is back to astroturfing v with forced threads at the same time down to the minute every single day
Tell the frickers to show their 007 game already. I want a freelancer mode with create-an-agent and let me play as a woman so I can stare at female ass all the time.
Yeah, it's great when you pirate it and mod it to have all content offline
I loved every part of that game.
Absolution is my favorite Hitman game
Hows the VR in 3?
One of the worst VR games of all time. Only 3dof, graphics are nuked to PS4 levels, and the controls fricking suck.
It doesn't have lootboxes so nu/v/edditors hate it.
I'll play it whenever they remove all the always online and live service bullshit and also perma-unlock all the removed FOMO content (elusive targets, costumes, item unlocks, etc)
Anything that requires more than half a braincell filters most westoids.
Ganker loves nuhitman wdym? you dont remember all the freelancer threads earlier this year?
As a 90s kid who played hitman silent assassin, contracts and bloodmoneh over and over again into infinity yet only played absolution once. I'm very hesitant about platinh the new ones. I played the recent demo, and though sure the map is big, I can't help but feel the game lacks soul, severely.

Hitman is goated
