They felt embarrassed showing it off so close to Tales of Arise's release. It's the reason they didn't show Xenoblade 3 either. Arise is the JRPG to end all JRPGs.
It’s got high production values for a JRPG and it doesn’t do anything particularly poorly, in fact most of it is pretty good. But it’s formulated and not particularly exciting in any way. It’s pretty much The Witcher 3 of JRPGs.
I had hope that the Tales team got their shit together again after they kicked out Baba and took their time with the game. Sadly they also lost a ton of creativity somewhere over the years it seems.
They did a minute-long promo on the Japanese Direct, of which some clips appeared in the North American one but as part of a sizzle reel for other games. Kind of a shame, but to be fair, it's been getting a shitton of promotional videos and news since E3. I wonder if they thought that maybe they were overdoing it and didn't want to get people tired over a somewhat obscure series.
>I wonder if they thought that maybe they were overdoing it and didn't want to get people tired over a somewhat obscure series
I dont think so, just look at the first direct that they showed the gameplay. In the US direct they had the woman narrating while in the JP direct they had a longer trailer with characters talking.
They are either afraid of showing this game or they just suck at promoting it.
They didn't realize Atlus was going to make a troony game and embarrass them at E3. Now that they know they are no longer marketing the game, and any contracts they had with Atlus will probably be terminated once it releases.
Probably because Atlus already dumped a lot more info about the game the day before the direct happened than Nintendo has for Dread thus far. This is on top of all the shit that they've trickled out since E3.
Who fricking knows anymore... this is their biggest exclusive of the holiday season, and Nintendo and Atlus have done frick all to promote the game in the west. I still think this will be goty but sales will probably be very slow to accumulate after launch. Gonna be another 13 Sentinels situation where a masterpiece gets shat on by horrendous marketing.
No English dub yet. They are moronic for not showing it though. Really terrible decision
It's a lost cause.
All the cool shit were on the Jap stream.
is this the only mecha game on the japanese direct?
It's the only mecha game coming out later this year.
ANd it's the best, Saikyou.

Why are people so hyped for tales of arise? It didint strike me at being anymore special than any other run-of-the-mill jrpg.
He says while SMT is rehashing the alignment system.

When was Nintendo advertising it? At E3 3 months ago?
Atlus is taking care of that.
>It’s got high production values for a JRPG
lmao
It doesn't even have 1/10th of Final Fantasy production values
I had hope that the Tales team got their shit together again after they kicked out Baba and took their time with the game. Sadly they also lost a ton of creativity somewhere over the years it seems.
Uh-oh, sounds like they got mogged.
Is Tales of Arise really that good? I assumed people thought it was just a good JRPG, not like a super special masterpiece.
It's a 6/10 really.
maybe too much mature content?

Took you long enough Black person. Here is you (you), I know redditBlack folk love attention.
I honestly thought the main character was a girl up until last night. Even without the long hair shit. It looks like a girl. It has a girly face.
No, he doesn't. He looks like a guy.
>big eyes
>thin brows
>long eyelashes
>puffy cheeks
>weak jaw
>and any contracts they had with Atlus will probably be terminated once it releases.
Honestly explains this.
>Showed Dying Light 2 c l o u d edition over showing this games new trailer.
Absolute fricking state of tendie.
because nintendo isn't developing it
why is he showing the double white power sign?

It took a while but they finally realized it was a sunk cost fallacy to keep marketing the game doomed to fail.
Why start advertising it 3 months early? Americans have 3 minute memory spans. They will ramp up advertising come Halloween.
china banned all femboys from media so now the game is abandonware
>Implying SMT releases in China ever due to their depiction of Chinese Mythological figures and Emperors.
Didn't they have to censor the Nocturne Remaster for the Chinese?
Didn't they just replaced Raidou with Dante?
If I remember they still had to buy Dante. It's why the PC version doesn't come with either.
They have to censor literally everything. They can't show skulls, bones, blood, bussy, tomgirls, or israelites.
>or israelites.
Lawbros...
It will sell like 10K copies outside of Japan anyways. So why bother? They advertised it at Japanese direct.
It was in the Direct literally two days ago you numpty.
... in Japan. Everywhere else it got lumped in with the shovelware.
It doesn't matter that it didn't get a bigger dedicated presentation, it was shown off as a reminder it exists in all regions.
China banned effeminate men
When did the CCP buy Nintendo?
Everyone wants to appeal to china anon
>muh china
shitposters really are a bunch of moronic Black folk
there's only one officially released nintendo game for the switch in china and it's mario odyssey
in anon's head where the chinese are behind everything
Game literally got a Treehouse showcase at E3.
isnt this a white supremacist symbol?
Not everyone is a mutt.
no one is not a mutt except maybe bush pygmies

Mate it got a fricking E3 showcase. Frick off.
>this is their biggest exclusive of the holiday season
Pretty sure that's Metroid and Pokemon.
Because you dipshits won’t stop jerking off to Sakurai.
Those who care about Smashit dont give a frick about JRPGs in the first place.
>only #50 on amazon JP
OH NO NO NO
>Game that had pre-order start weeks ago isn't getting pre-orders anymore
Color me Snoy.
>literal boobs
No wonder nobody wants nothing to do with this troon game.
