Why didn't they just show a normal direct?
The couldve just added 1 trailer from a big game, like BOTW2 or Metroid Prima 4, pad it with the new Mario Kart courses, Splatoon 3 and Xenoblade 3 and it wouldve been a great direct.

They don't have anything else prepared.
BotW 2 was cancelled.
This. Will come to switch 2 under a new title
>new title
It doesn’t even have a title yet, moron.
Thank frick. It would have been a disappointing dlc disguised as a full game anyway
They said it was a partners direct, that's what it was. Stop being mentally ill and begging to be advertised to
b***h this is a consoomer entertainment medium. Being advertised to is literally all it is.
>NOOOOOOOO you can't learn about games before you buy them just consume!
Why are you like this?
I think OP is aware. They're just saying it had enough major third-party content to justify a full or at least general Nintendo Direct. If Nintendo shadowdrops several first-party announcements next month, it will just feel like they missed the ball. Same thing happened in fall 2020. They could have absolutely justified a general Nintendo Direct and shut a lot of people up instead of the weird drip-feeding.
Probably don't have trailer footage ready for any other game aside from Xenoblade 3, maybe they're behind schedule on that. Could have a 'proper' direct around August.
real directs coming next week
What a load of absolute bullshit. It got the date for the Rabbids game wrong.
use your fricking brain
I did. and now that gay won't post his shit leak again since he now knows it has info in it that's proven false.

>released this winter
So?
The game now has a release date globally Oct 20th, therefore the "leak" is wrong.
you actually think somebody that spells Diddy "Didi" is from a western/global branch?
You actually think they would show M+R 2 in the jap partner direct and NOT show the release date if it's already got one planned by now?
yes
it's NCL publishing a Ubisoft game in Japan, that shit is not set in stone
he named a date in winter, that's close enough
you're all ignoring the things he got right ALREADY
meaning
that the general Nintendo Direct would happen later than June
that there would be no Xenoblade3 (very bold "guess" and already proven right)
and that there would be Metroid Prime HD but no trilogy (already corroborated by Jeff Grub)
https://twitter.com/Wario64/status/1541439407000997888
https://twitter.com/Wario64/status/1541440061626953729
I don't know, the fact he mentions both Nvidia [DLSS] upscaling being used, but later AMD used on base switch models is fricking weird and nonsensical. Also, it would be a pretty insane lineup for one direct
>that the general Nintendo Direct would happen later than June
no shit, sherlock. anyone with a functioning brain has already assumed that for weeks now.
also, "later than june" could mean any day from july 1st, 2022 until the heat death of the universe. keeping things purposefully vague is how attention prostitutes who don't actually know anything set themselves up to claim victory later.
>and that there would be Metroid Prime HD but no trilogy
right now, there's neither.
>(already corroborated by Jeff Grub)
the opinions of literal who e-celebs mean nothing.
>i-it doesn't count!
Okay.
>keeping things purposefully vague
god you're fricking moronic
"later than june" is not a specific date or even a definitive window, which makes it obvious that this "leaker" doesn't know shit and doesn't want to guess and risk being proven totally wrong.
the leaker said July 6
it's real life saying later than June
it's been 9 days and he hasn't been proven wrong
hasn't exactly been proven right either
>it's been 9 days and he hasn't been proven wrong
He has been proven wrong multiple times already in this thread alone
"Dec. 6, 2022" instead of "Winter 2022" isn't a hard deboonk
It would be a bit dumb if they already had a date set in stone at the time anon posted his 'leak', but didn't include that release date for the partner direct today.
that shit changes easily because it's NCL working with Ubisoft
the first game took 5 months to get localized
I'd love if the leak is real, please don't get my hopes up like this when in reality it's gonna be a nothingburger until september.
The leak has Hogwarts as a cloud game and we already know that isn't the case.
https://twitter.com/FinchStrife/status/1504943773956001794
>Still ignoring the fact the game comes out globally on Oct 20th
>Still ignoring that Sonic Frontiers already had a trailer in the partner direct
>Still ignoring that we already know the next update will add Golf to Nintendo Switch Sports
Anon, the leak literally gives a specific date. I don't think the leak is real either but you're a goddamn moron.
No Xenoblade makes sense if they tweet out a trailer this week. Otherwise they would show it in this July 6 Direct.
This guy said they would have another trailer (but said it would appear in the Direct this week which didn't happen):
https://arch.b4k.co/vg/thread/388593119/#388778348
adding this to the list of things in favor of Ninji4612's leak
Everything he said about this direct seem to check out, but it was all said by someone else first.
Nate was talking about June 28th Direct for weeks now, was sure Persona 3/4 were coming to Switch, maybe Persona 5, was sure about Mario+Rabbids showing up in this Direct.
That Hispanic journalist was talking about a Direct this week, Persona 5 and Automata announcement.
Prime 1 Remaster was heavily rumored for a year now and pic related from some weeks ago was pretty solid evidence.
Unless he leaks something first, it seems to me he just takes the most probable leaks from others.
then he's just really really really good at choosing what to copy?
Not really it's not that difficult, I knew Persona, Mario + Rabbits gameplay demo for the 29th, Metroid Prime remaster/remake and Automata juste by lurking on moronera and famiboards.
>it seems to me he just takes the most probable leaks from others.
where did he get Bayonetta 3's release date then?
Well he didn't get anything about Bayonetta for the time being, he could have just made up that.
But if he is right, we'll know in about a week so I'm not going to argue with that.
he seems to be really confident about it and I doubt he copied Ninji4612's info
but yeah, we'll know in about 7.5 days
When the frick is the Splat3 direct
https://arch.b4k.co/v/thread/602989568
>Splatoon 3 Direct in August (broadcast date to be announced later).
Precedent says late August. Like, "one to two weeks before launch" late.
Direct that late would suggest no Testfire, doubt they'd do one that close to the full release.
>Direct that late would suggest no Testfire
explain
Nintendo could announce a Testfire even without a Direct tbh. Shadowdropping the news on Twitter, for example. After announcing an entire game in the same manner (Paper Mario: TOK), anything is possible. A Splat Direct isn't necessary for something like this, per se. They could totally announce a Splatfest World Premiere through the Direct, however.
Maybe. I just want some frickin news. This Twitter drip feed shit is fricking killing me.
Oh man, me too. You and I are in the same boat, Anon. The weekly Twitter tidbits suck buttocks. Almost everything they've posted so far is news to newcomers only. There's been, like, maybe four tweets that actually mattered since they started the drip-feed. This game's advertising has been a nightmare for anyone genuinely invested in the series.
It's a consequence of delaying the game. They probably had enough material planned out to post regularly until the planned release in July, but now they have to stretch that out until September. Same reason that Xenoblade is getting so much info posted in a short span of time.
Hmm. When you put it that way, it makes a lot of sense. The Direct was always going to be the big scoop, so having a few important reveals on Twitter along the way to July would have been perfectly fine. February's Direct, to a mid-July Splatoon 3 Direct.
The brain says if you post a "leak", you better make sure every single thing you say is 100% true. As soon as even one thing is proven false, that makes you a filthy liar and thus no longer deserving to be considered or treated as human. There needs to be a law in place to force people to put their money where their mouth is - any time any aspect of a "leak/rumor" is proven false, the "leaker" should be immediately beheaded. We can not tolerate liars in a proper society.
XB3 Direct leaker got the general Direct's date wrong
XB3 Direct still happened the time he said and it was 20 minutes long just like he said
Doesn't matter. Still was wrong, so shouldn't have even said anything on the date. All leakers should hang, as both real and fake leaks do different types of harm to expectations and reception of the actual announcement, but especially ones who fill their leaks with any amount of lies deserve extra torture.

I'll eat my own ass before Nintendo ever acknowledges the existence of Diddy Kong Racing
Why? Diddiy Kong Racing DS exists. That was 5 years after Microsoft acquisition.
Smash Ultimate (you know the ULTIMATE gaming collection) has two playable characters from the game, yet there is absolutely no music, spirits or any other content referencing Diddy Kong Racing
Because those two characters are not exactly remembered as "those characters from Diddy Kong Racing".
Did you ever win a gold medal in mental gymnastics to come up with "Diddy Kong is not remembered from Diddy Kong Racing"?
Diddy is remembered mostly for DKC2: Diddy's Kong Quest. People do remember Diddy Kong Racing, they just don't consider it as the ones that introduced them to the character.
I'm pretty sure plenty of people remember Diddy from Diddy Kong Racing instead of DKC; and same goes for Banjo, especially since it WAS the introduction of the character.
Sounds way too good to be true, I refuse to believe it.
This is almost certainly fake, but I would like to point this out.
https://twitter.com/Syluxhunter/status/1540697898844794880
High odds this person is full of BS, but the date DOES line up with this supposed presentation. Think it would be strange to split up presentations this close to each other, but who knows. Nintendo has done weird in the past.
>Syluxhunter
any relation to that samushunter leakgay?
As their track record isn't great if so.
Syluxhunter exist to mog Samushunter for being a cryptic attention prostitute instead of actually leaking, so you can take their word for it, now the direct confirmed their leak.
Ironically that's sorta in character for Sylux, being some rivalic inverse to Samus. and we really don't really know who Sylux actual gender either.
stop, you're making me moist
all i hat to see was "They/them." to know this is bullshit.
yeah but
https://twitter.com/EyesEverywherr/status/1541382261249122307
"yeah but" nothing. bayonetta 2 still has no official release date.

>actual troony leaker
It's weird how he tweets so little and being right every time. Not even the best leakers have 100% tracks records.
I suspect that he delete a lot of his tweets and then claim to be rith every time.
wouldn't somebody have called him out on it these past few days
he's been interacting with people
Well Markomaro and Samus Hunter use these tactics every time and they are more and more popular.
He just needs to block every haters.
At least it will not be long before we find out.
people can still talk about you even if you block them
https://twitter.com/search?q=%40syluxhunter&src=typed_query&f=live
and I can't find anyone calling him out on anything fishy
BUT MUH FAKE LEAK!
Lol keep dreaming homosexual.
are you okay? should we call somebody?
The new hardware sounds like complete shit, they literally went from really shit with the last direct to a complete and utter joke with this one
>more time spent on sonic
>more time spent on mario and rabbids
>indie games when they had them in the third party direct
>switch pro that is legit moronation tier
>cloud games
>metroid prime hd
>new donkey kong game no retro involvement
Frick Nintendo, what a shit tier company.
What reason do I have to believe this?
Interdasting
Were these drawn over or is this AI just insanely good?
So basically 0 reason.
How the frick are you supposed to upgrade the chip of the switch yourself?
Because it would take away the thunder from the other announcements. Here, all third party devs gets an equal chance to impress the audience.
Old Nintendo execs just didn't want to do it without the E3 branding because they can't let go off tradition.
Think Bayonetta 3 would have been more realistic as a big game over those two, but otherwise I agree. Only thing I’d add is Zelda HD ports or Metroid Prime if that remaster indeed exists.
I'm kinda glad it wasn't in this little shitty direct
they're making a special event for the reveal of the switch 4K in july, screencap this
It's because the people that are working on those games are fricking slacking and don't have shit to show. Well except Monolith.
You have to wonder if Monolith ever gets tired of carrying Nintendo the way they do, of winning. HAL too, arguably. They seem like the only two teams working on Nintendo series to ever have their bearings together when it comes to developing new major projects. There may be a couple of hiccups here and there, sure, but otherwise it's just quality.
>The couldve just added 1 trailer from a big game
they can't conjure a big game that they don't actually have out of thin air.
Prime 4 and BotW 2 are moving to Switch 2
Please understand.
Test
My guess is that they're planning a big summer direct so they're holding off on first party titles to reveal until then.
>3 directs in 3 weeks
I would love to be wrong, but that sounds like some bullshit lads.
If the leak is real (I don't think it is), then that'd mean ANOTHER direct in august too. 4 directs basically within 2 months of each other?
>XB3-specific Direct
>3rd party Direct
>Nintendo-Nintendo Direct
sounds reasonable to me
Since this is the closest thing to a general direct thread up right now.
Was there a JP direct today too, and was there anything good shown in that that wasn't in the EN one? usually directs like this have some great games completely hidden from the EN version.
There was some dinosaur game, but that's about it. They didn't pull any stupid shit this time like not showing Sakuna on the EN version.
ah good to know, i'll check it out anyway just to be safe.
Because they don't want different games cannibalizing each other's attention
They'd rather get the third party stuff out of the way early because it's just treated as filler otherwise.
So they lead with Xenoblade 3 (give a big upcoming game a spotlight), then do third parties (which people otherwise glaze over in normal directs since they're just filler between other big first party announcements)
And then we may get a final direct mini that's just the first party stuff to cap off the Summer Announcement season. I wager that's where Mario Kart and Bayo 3 news will be
Bayonetta isn't first party.
Bayonetta isn't first party
Bayonetta 2 and Bayonetta 3 are first party
Nintendo is moronic
Their calendar year for 2022 is already full you moron, they have no need to show any 2023 shit until September regardless of how many people throw a tantrum over it.
>Botw2
The above reason
>Metroid Prime 4
They aren't ready to show it as it's only been in development for 3 years since restarting
>Mario Kart tracks
That is nothing more than twitter post fodder
>Xenoblade 3
They just had a dedicated Direct moron
>Splatoon 3
They've been sharing info on twitter and plan to do a dedicated Direct once it's only a month away just like they did with Xenoblade 3.
it WAS a great direct, frick you AAA hype Black folk.
jump off a bridge.
Personally, I thought it sucked but each to their own.
Mega Man Battle Network getting a collection is a win in my book as it's a glimmer of hope we'll see more of the series in the future.
Did we see a new X game after the X collection?
When was MM11 anyway?
>When was MM11 anyway
2018.
>Persona will fuel shitposts for a while
>Battle Network Collection
>Bomberman R2
>Pac Man World Remake
>LiveALive Demo
>DQ Treasures
>Blanc
>Harvestella
Gotta give Nintendo its due. I had low expectations but the 3rd party direct turned out pretty good imo.
Why add more fluff to an already fluff fest?
bwecuas they're beigg frickig nrealistic that htye have ing oing to show so rahther thN Simply just giving fals e home they will isntead just to antoeht in septmember
Honestly a fun direct but I do hope for something kirby or dk related soon
Because they have mastered the art of doing these showcases. Calling it a Mini tempers expectations so everything you see is pleasant or par for course without autists and manchildren screeching and without journos overhyping everything. If Sony called theirs a Mini, nobody would've hated it half as much. Nintendo has been doing this shit for like 10 years.
Explains why the first two "Partner Showcase minis" were so astronomically shit back in 2020
What wasn't shit in 2020 anon?
the September one had MH Rise, which carried it hard
Seethe
That's the question. Supposedly Prime 1 Remake and the new FE are done.
What about Tactics Ogre Remaser? Who will announce that?
Could be they still have one planned. Makes sense to split it up if so, especially with a bunch of bigger third party ones planned for this one.
>Prima
Shut up spic
What makes you think they have anything they can show?
Making a trailer or whatever takes time and money they already use and would take away from deve time. Do you think they need to advertise something that you'll buy regardless?
Prime 4 is already going to be ruined by ex-Soistation devs and tumblrettes at nu-Retro.
There no point to look forward to it besides whatever Miyamoto and Mercury Stream is developing for mainline Metroid
Thinking too hard. Rather drink Grug's pee.
Either the coof fricked things up again or they're getting ready to start hyping the switch's successor.
>start hyping the switch's successor
Seeing many Anons on Ganker say this lately in the Direct threads, and it has me perplexed. Would Nintendo really? Splatoon 3's launch later this year makes me suspicious of this. The first game had a year of post-launch support, while the second game had two years worth of content after release, including a huge DLC campaign one year in. While it may be in development, Nintendo surely could not unveil their next console this "soon", be it next year or 2024?
all they have to do is say "Splatoon 3 in 4K60fps on the new hardware" and do two years of Splatfests
you won't be able to find a Super Switch at MSRP for a while
What if BotW 2 is on schedule to be ready this year, but was pushed back because their new Switch model is the one that's behind (and, for obvious reasons, they'd want a new switch to launch aside the new zelda)...?
It could then make sense that they'd show off the new switch model somewhat early as per the original scheduling.
It could very well be pushed back or they release an enhanced edition. They're pushing the switchs hardware to the max as is. If they want to keep the ports coming they're gonna have to release a more beefy system.
they dont need to chill the same 3games every announcement cause they have nothing else unlike Sony or Microsoft.
What was with all the fricking farming simulators? They showed like five of the fricking things.
They're taking "There's something for everyone!" damn literally, especially with how popular Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley were & are, plus interest in Rune Factory and Story of Seasons among others.
If anything, the showcase shows how many companies are beginning to catch on, even Squenix of all companies.
It's not just AC:NH being a fad anon, Slice of Life/Fantasy Farming, especially combined, are extremely popular genres.
Because nintendo is holding all that for the november direct along with the new switch.
Nintendo want to sell 21 millions Switch this fiscal year. Last year they did 23 millions.
As we can see from the data for US and Japan, they sold approximatively 30% less Switch than last year for the first quarter.
They are not going to announce a console in July for a March release if they want to sell that amount of console. It will just kill the momentum that the Switch has.
If there is a announce in July, it's for the end of this year. If the console release in 2023, it will be announced in 2023.
