We have something called "Imagination" that we used to fill in the blanks with.
Not that zoomers know what that's all about since your generation is incapable of anything original.

    I think you mean "CRTs".

not him but i'd know, bought one off a friend and i fricking love playing vidya on this thing
we also slept on these things like crazy, it's not just the picture that's good, the speakers are fantastic as well
i got the DMC HR/HM album and threw this song on my PS2 and it sounds fantastic

christ, i swear all crt gays are zoomers who never owned one and are larping to fit in with the "cool old gays" or morons who own funko collections or whatever it's called. Every single person i knew were glad they switched to flatscreens from CRTs and not a single one ever went back to them.

Zoomers grew up with CRTs too, plenty of people were using them up until the late 2000s/early 2010s. I agree with the rest of your post though.

2000 zoomer here, it's a meme when people buy them for muh nostalgia, but trying to play an older console on a modern TV causes input lag converting an analog signal into a digital one without the use of special equipment like a framemeister
also this image is not a meme, color diffusion does wonders for games

cherry picked from a fading CRT while using an RF cable on the right.
S video with a Trinitron would look like a medium between those two, but is still considered CRT.

No model of NES/Famicom had S-Video output. It was RF or AV on some models.

Right only looks good when you look at it up close, on a big screen from the distance of a couch, which is how we used to play back in the days, left just looks much better while right is a blurry mess.

You gotta remember, most people emulate games at a computer where they are pretty close to the screen, and at least where I'm sitting, both look equally awful cause I'm a zoomer. Just play fortnite or league bro

Has anyone played these games though? Most basic gameplay and they all fricking suck too. It has to be contrarianism to like these games.

I play through Zelda II all the time. It's one of the best games in the series.

I played it about ten years ago and I was definitely pleasantly surprised by it. It's not a "bad" game by any means, but people who have never played it just regurgitate opinions they've heard online and in game magazines growing up.
It is a little bit obtuse at times, but the combat alone is really good for the NES.

Some of them have fun gameplay loops, anon. Just emulate them, spending lot of cash getting old hardware and games is a waist

Why are millennials so obsessed with my generation? Millennials literally destroyed everything in the name of social justice before the first zoomers even graduated high school.
