Fun fact, most of the real threat that comes with aviation isn't with the enemy, it's with the maintainers being worked like dogs while homosexual pilots LARP.
>hmmm should I follow the manual made by the actual designers of this multi-million dollar piece of hardware? >nah I'll just wing it, using my common sense I can tell that this probably goes here
truly terrible post, anon
Nah, it's a usual IQ bell curve of 0 IQ, hard worker to 500 IQ, overthinker. If you knew, you'd know how bullshit maintenance and maintenance procedure gets.
I saw a quote from an aviator once saying that the crews who had to fix the Tomcats had a hard time but he was sure they considered it a privilege because it was just such a cool plane. Wish I could find it again because holy shit that blew my mind.
Because it's a fun arcade flight combat game that lets me pilot a range of aircraft in campy anime storylines with great music and fights against sci-fi superweapons.
I mean, it does? 7 has a range of craft from old cold war fighters like the F104 and Mig 21bis, a bunch of F-fighters like the 16, 18, 14, ground attack craft like the A10 and Frogfoot, and then a bunch of the bleeding edge stuff like the pakfa and even sci-fi jets.
>That's like playing CoD instead of Arma
There's no much difference, actually. You can play Arma just like Call of Duty if you pick right gamemode.
But you can't play neither Arma nor any flight simulator just like Ace Combat, because Ace Combat is an arcade shit beyond recovery.
No Ace Combat player is going to mistakenly believe they can pilot an actual plane but numerous DCS players genuinely think they have what it takes to intercept multiple bandits with a real F-16 so, really, who's the one being unrealistic?
It's about the fantasy of being an ace fighter jet pilot rather than the reality. It caters to the fundamental visceral appeal of aerial combat that exists in the mind's eye of most people, rather than the more realistic but dull concept of sitting back lobbing long-range munitions at radar blips from stand-off ranges. Ace Combat tries to maintain authenticity in the visual recreations of real-world aircraft and a relatively plausible-looking world but that's where its engagement with realism ends, and imo it's for the better. If you like technical, realistic flight sims like DCS then more power to you, and I'm sure there are many people who enjoy both, but at the end of the day they're just not the same thing and aren't trying to be.
Unfortunately you can't and never be like him dcs-kun. You prefer seething in this thread like a pathetic loser rather than go out and be a real pilot.
I hope AC8 has a playable Nighthawk and also coop.
I had good times flying my Nighthawk in ACI coop and letting other people handle air. Needed reliable people because otherwise you got shithead fighters who spent the whole round trying to steal ground targets (why???), but it was good when it happened.
There is a world of difference between a trained pilot using a simulator to build muscle memory between training sessions and a 19 year old chinless mid-west dweeb thinking 3,000 hours of glorified roleplay can provide anything of worth beyond a basic familiarity with an aircraft's controls.
No, I don't think, I just play video games and try not to overthink about what it means when someone as autistic as you claims that everyone here isn't a true scotsman over wanting to frick planes IRL
Plus you keep honking your horn over posting wienerpits when no one cares, the only reason you get a (you) in the first place is because of your moronic claim about ace combat fans
Is there a reason why you think someone needs a pilot liscense, 10,000 flight hours, along with being a Navy or Airforce officer to enjoy playing a GAME about being a pilot?
Why don't you just admit that you've failed the pilot test spectacularly because you thought you learn everything trough DCS and now you spend your time here eternally butthurt at anon who just want to have fun with arcade flight game?
that one with the blue top half and lower brown half, I know what it says, it tells you how your plan is tilted in comparisson to the ground, right?
and the one with the top view plane below it, it tell you the horizontal orientation of the plane, I think.
A lot of those gauges must refer to the pressure and info on the many important parts of the plane.
And the fuel ones, I know what these do. There are 2 so it's either a spare fuel tank or one per jet engine.
I have no idea what I'm talking about but planes are super cool.
That doesn't look military homosexual, last time I checked ace combat is about military jets fighting other military jets, not Black person rigged 747s jousting each other with AMRAAMs
Anyways, back to posting wienerpits, which you fricking morons thought didnt share basic instruments with civvy planes that everyone has to learn when they fly, lol
gamer cred
it caters to the fantasy of air combat, not to boring old men who need 10 million hours flight time before they can even take a jet on a training run
This
Fun fact, most of the real threat that comes with aviation isn't with the enemy, it's with the maintainers being worked like dogs while homosexual pilots LARP.
Most military aircraft mechanics are utter brainlets who only know how to follow step-by-step instructions in a manual.

Cool setting, 90's anime-tier storytelling.
jeez it's only a game, how about you stick to the real thing boomer?
Because they get to fly, turn, and shoot with sweet fighter jets without having to get an autism license. It's fun.
For me, it's the loading screen quotes.
Without beginning or end, the ring stretches into the infinite.
What are your favorite ones, Ganker?
Because it's Gundam with planes.
Fighter jets are cool. And it's the best and closest we'll ever get to a fighter jet anime
>closest we'll ever get to a fighter jet anime
Sorry, let me rephrase. The closest we'll get these days
looks fun, thanks for the recc op
so, he wanted a top gun gay relationship in the game?
Because it's a fun arcade flight combat game that lets me pilot a range of aircraft in campy anime storylines with great music and fights against sci-fi superweapons.
>lets me pilot a range
it doesn't let you do that at all though....
>Arcade plane game is an arcade plane game
Woooooow
That's like playing CoD instead of Arma or even just whatever RO tier game is popular at the moment and then complaining about the lack of realism.
>That's like playing CoD instead of Arma
There's no much difference, actually. You can play Arma just like Call of Duty if you pick right gamemode.

Oh hey, it's you DCSgay.
Reminder that the DCSgay is a massive AC fan shitposting
can you explain this in any way?
I never saved the image, but it was the DCSgay posting some of his DCS screenshots and the planes had AC decals on them
sounds like a cope after exposing his stash of anthro tiger bara porn
you mean when longtime /aceg/ user FlankerAnon was caught posting furry porn?
>caring about realism in video games
You just reminded me I need to play those dlc missions, thanks OP!
Ace Combat.... is fun! That's why I play Ace Combat.
The music is also... great!
Do you even get tired with this endless autistic crusade dcs-kun? Even your favorite pilot turned his back on you
>webm
what kind of autist makes this question
the kind that deludes himself into thinking playing videogames isn't a waste of time.
No Ace Combat player is going to mistakenly believe they can pilot an actual plane but numerous DCS players genuinely think they have what it takes to intercept multiple bandits with a real F-16 so, really, who's the one being unrealistic?

You're either projecting or using an ass backwards assumption about a majority of Ace Combat fans here on Ganker
It's an elaborate ruse to try to get DCS autist to have an autism induced aneurysm.
To dab on the Black
>ace combat threads have gone to complete shit because morons can't stop replying to a singular brain damaged furry
why would it make me seethe? I only play in 3rd person mode

I don't need to know what any of them are though.
Is there a reason why you think someone needs a pilot liscense, 10,000 flight hours, along with being a Navy or Airforce officer to enjoy playing a GAME about being a pilot?
To do UFO loopdeloops and spam missiles I guess. IDK how anyone can play more than 1 AC game not get bored.
Why don't you just admit that you've failed the pilot test spectacularly because you thought you learn everything trough DCS and now you spend your time here eternally butthurt at anon who just want to have fun with arcade flight game?
MAGIC SPEAR I
They're pretty cool. What does the red lever in the bottom right do?
Ejection seat
Only let DCSgay explain them.

>AC gays literally sent a real fighter pilot hate after this
To be fair, a fair number of actual pilots don't seem to understand them either:
Frick this shitposting, gonna post more Air Safety Kino:
>Do AC gays really
Anyways, back to posting wienerpits, which you fricking morons thought didnt share basic instruments with civvy planes that everyone has to learn when they fly, lol

DCS-kun BTFO, looks like no dicky for this thread at this rate :3
Which route?
Round Hammer, or whatever the balanced one is because it's fun killing both
