No personality
It's not just game companies, but yeah these people would take a bullet for certain industries.
Brands have become religions for people in the modern era, they see the IPs as a part of themself and an attack on the IP is an attack on them.
The complete lack of irony from posts like this make it all the more hilarious as they base their opinions against current thing and support it just as fanatically.
>Corporate cult A
-Tries to drain you out of your money at every turn
-WILL manipulate your thoughts and restrain your choices to force you to accept concessions you wouldn't normally accept for their gain
-Continually imposing constraints on your hobbies for arbitrary reasons
-Its agenda is 100% incompatible with your consumer perspective and enjoyment of the medium
-impersonal, will never react out of line or positively to any kind of input from your part
>Autistic mongolian trading forum "cult" B
-doesn't want or care about your money
-gives you multiple, often accurate, more often moronic, perspectives
-doesn't have your interests in mind, but you can choose the info and content to believe in or reject
-no other motivation than passion, seethe or mental issues
-far more humane and genuine
Yeah you sure showed them moron. It's exactly the same. have a nice day braindead cattle.
>-doesn't want or care about your money
-who says you're not someone paid to shit on a competitor's product?
-who says you're not trying to demotivate and blackpill people?
-who says you're not a buckbroken christcuck lamenting "modern degeneracy" and how we should all go back to worshipping Jesus?
falseflags are a dime a dozen
You can choose to make your opinion on all three subjects. Hell you can even choose to listen to brand loyalists or companies if they do shill here. But you have the ability to sort through the shitposts, make your own, pick your own decisions. You often see posts like "Ganker lied to me this game is good" because people listen to themselves first
Leave the corporate bootlicker to his delusions. He is beyond saving.
You're pissed
it's always been like that on Ganker
Because god is dead or abandoned us in 2012.
there's no culture anymore
>implying amerimutts ever had culture aside from consumerism and capitalism
Console wars were the same fricking thing .
>brands into religions.jpg
The youth have a need for a new religion in their secular world
Literally and figuratively this, if it isn't brands it's religion, if it isn't religion it's patriotism.
People have lost genuine belief in God.
What do they call that?
Stockhausen syndrome?
Some people need religion to function and these tards chose to be atheists so the company became their church.
we live in a world where multibillion dollar companies and government agencies are the brave rebels defending our democracy from fascist smalltown hicks
of course people are naturally inclined to support the good guys.
>be disingenuous, ignorant shitposter
>someone disagrees with you
>WOWW STOP DEFENDING BILLIONARES
im tired of people believing fake things on purpose in an attempt to damage the company they hate, that is mental illness.
Some people attach brands to their personalities
but as said
Being honest about criticism isn't defending a company and lying doesn't help against the things you should criticize a company for
"What you should criticize a company for" is very subjective. I know you mean about unambiguous shit but I've seen people take this to extreme ends. Like one member of company A supports thing B on personal profile so don't support product C. Or A is accused of D so don't buy C, even if the case was dismissed
Maybe it's my view of the world, but if I had to agree with every opinion of every employee I'd probably not be able to buy anything at all. Like you don't need an excuse to not buy something, there's already too much shit to spend money and/or time on. That's justification enough
I agree, some people take it too far and make me wonder what the hell they could support? Hell you don't even need to fully not support a company but other parts you can especially since a lot of companies are into multiple things.
I like how this is framed to sound like you're referring to Pokemon fans attacking Palworld, but it's actually about anons defending mass layoffs like the good goys they are.
It's just insular communities. You like thing so you go to place that likes thing and they tell you to like thing more. No one who dislikes it will go there and the end result is never learning how to deal with opposing opinions. It's why it's not limited to games but basically anything now-a-days.
Everyone you know likes thing, You've discussed in depth why you do and everyone agrees, then the others come. They gotta be wrong, right?
Seriously look at most threads with this "arguing" there's no consensus at all. Just both sides spouting their facts at each other and being dumbfounded the other doesn't understand. Literal zero understanding or deeper communication. Yet they do it every thread. Same arguments, same posts, and they just do it again next thread knowing the outcome anyway. Note the amount of arguing with strawmen from other threads or mocking of opinions that haven't actually been posted. It's very alarming
There's a lot of people that lost the ability to communicate
That's plain doomposting
People can communicate perfectly, it's just very easy to claim say many kinds of bullshit in this anonymous shithole.
>company changes twitter pfp to rainbow flag for homosexual month
YAAAAAASSSSSSSSS
>same company has numerous sexual harassment allegations
*crickets*
Gamers are just nerdy version of sportsball fans cheering on their favourite team
Everyone always shits on Gamefreak by default. So at this point who can you call the underdog.
>now
Because they're manchildren substituting an actual personality OP
Because sometimes the multibillion dollar company is right and you just have autism and are unaware of your condition
its not all the time, but more often that not, the moron posting on Ganker is infact, a moron
shocking I know
Why is everyone assuming this is about Pokemon? Am I the only one who does not care about that shit?
It's the (current thing), wait a few weeks to complain about (new thing)
>posting the version with the "proper" grammar
the picture was made with the broken english in mind for the joke to work
/thread
Yup.
They didn't even hide it yet their army of useful idiots still eat it up.
>wagie comes home after 8 hours of slaving
>spends 3 hours doing stuff they need to do
>has 1-2 hours to play any vidya at all
>becomes irate when their one escape from monotony may in fact be dogshit goyslop
Expressing negative sentiment about anyone is super cruel bullying. Having standards is just evil entitlement!
The dating market sucks ass now
Its simple. Those game companies hired a bunch of useless fricks that does nothing and game liek Pal World threaten their employment.
obsessed
Because zoomers replaced god with megacorps. They’re not any more enlightened than a bible thumper and are somehow even more pathetic. At least yhwh wrecked shit. Bob Iger is just an butthole.
They get too invested with games they like and they take it personally when people make fun of "their" games
>now
t. Sega does what Nintendon't
they dont have enough money to own multiple console and a PC so they feel like they have to defend their chosen console company to the death from criticism
>now
its been almost 40 years since the release of the NES
I still don't understand why gamers are among the most moronic and moronic coomzoomers.
no long ago people were laughing at the horse armor DLC and now no only eat it up all there are NPCs defending companies for free where did everything went so wrong?
>where did everything went so wrong?
sex unhaving
most people didn't actually care and others that did found a microtransaction that appealed to them (coom material) and realized their supposed principles they held were actually fraudulent, but shrugged then joined the rest in the mud.
Millennials are obsessed with consooming their funkopops and pokemons
Gotta collect them all
What else would they defend? Their beliefs? Their people? Their country? Hahahahaha
I don't want to be a stereotypical old person and blame young people, but I think it's young people.
It's a mixture of buttmad Sega/Microsoft autistics and blowback against PC only troons that seethe when they can't pirate a console exclusive
Yes these companies all suck but Nintendo is worse.
Microsoft is literally the worst corporation to ever exist. Sony and Nintendo are soulless and money grubbing to the point that it hurts their end product, but Microsoft is evil in the purest sense of the word. This is not hyperbole, they are the cancer upon the human race that uncle Ted warned us about.
>wild exaggeration
I think game pass is a pretty good deal but other than that they're pretty typical evil corpo yes
>people defend game companies
they're not people. they're corporate drones.
corpos deploy them en masse to attempt to revise history and swing PR in their favor.
>game companies
it's only nintendo stop pretending anyone else on Ganker is defending any other company
>now
Oh this is light work, you should've seen 08 and 09 PS360 gayging.
the same reason people defend shitty practices that actively destroy the market out of spite for said game companies. zero self awareness on all fronts
I think it has to do with the childhood. Most of them grew up with games from said companies, so, when they see the company receive insults and criticism they feel that their childhood is getting insulted as well.
so you mean it's mentally ill freaks who can't divorce themselves from the slop they consume? basically disney adults but for other brands?
You can't even divorce yourself from the gender you were born as.
>complete non-sequitur
how many times did your parents pop you in the mouth? I'd say too few.
>now
Their way of marketing became very moralistic
Mostly sunk cost and tribalism. This is a super consumerists world we live in and the more people invest in products of a brand, the more people will defend it. It's been a part of gaming for a long time, just now that it's the fans whose mainly turning the tribal wars wheel rather than the companies themselves.
Because everybody goes through a "I can say whatever I want and get away with it!" phase when they first encounter the internet, but if you're a latecomer normie who grew up inside the walls of social media and online shopping, then you have to sublimate that troll impulse into something socially acceptable that won't put you on the wrong side of a 3rd world moderator.
So instead of calling each other wiener-enthralled homosexuals and getting the troll out of their system in a simple and direct way, they have to instead clamor for any, ANY reason to contradict another person and tell them that they're wrong, as an "above-board" way of attempting to attack a stranger's self-esteem and trying to ruin their day for the petty thrill of imaginary dominance.
The desire to experience fleeting power over others is powerful enough to override basically any principle, even the ones they build their identity around, which is why you'll have badge-wearing Anticapitalists tripping over themselves to undermine and shoot down a criticism leveled against international corporations like Disney, even though they should logically agree with that criticism and consider it fuel for the fire. Because one-upping a stranger is more gratifying than solidarity against hundred-billion dollar institutions, and is something they can immediately put in their emotional wallet, especially when the corp is smart enough to superficially align with their self-congratulatory cultural stances.
It'd be easy accuse this trend of being encouraged and/or engineered by said corps as a deliberate disruption against a helpful consensus forming beyond their reach, but in truth, I believe the common person has something in common with jannies: because they cannot find a sense of purpose elsewhere in life, they will simply do it for free.
waiter, this pasta is horrid. take it back to the kitchen. 1/10
Why do so many people constantly b***h about game companies on the internet?
The moralgayging shellgame has become so convoluted that defending real, living artists has become synonymous with defending the worst excesses of capitalism.
Good stuff, can't wait to see where this hellworld takes us next.
Poor arguements and shitty reasoning are still bad regardless of who your are defending/attacking. People who blindly support any argument to hate on a company are just as bad as the who blindy defend companies. Both types of people lack integrity because every arguement they make is in bad faith. Anyone who posts that image is a red herring throwing moron.
Pretty convinced that Ganker and Xitter are mostly made of Israel/Russian bots and advertisers. Fake Internet theory is true
t. Is paid by a company to attack other companies
It's the game companies themselves and people who have vested interest in their success.
