There was some bullshit on Oprah or Ellen of whatever fricking wamen TV show where they compared children who watch Caillou to children who watched Spongbob and the children who watched Caillou were smarter, that is it.
The first few seasons are great, but every season past that is actually complete garbage, she's probably getting it from those awful gross out episodes and the ones where spongebob cries.

It looks really good to me. It seems to have actual dungeons unlike BotW/TotK while also having the sort of creative game design you see in those games. That's exactly what I'm looking for so I think this is gonna be my favorite switch Zelda.
I also don't mind them moving away from combat because I've always thought 2D Zelda combat is incredibly tedious and boring.

With SS, Fi's constant interruptions is unbearable. 2 doesn't have an annoying helper character
With SS, the text dialogue is too slow in general. They don't allow you to spam your way through text boxes. Zelda 2's text is very sparse, so you don't find yourself stuck talking a lot.
With SS, the game's progression is very limited by the story. 2 allows you more freedom to roam around the map based on your item progression, not story progression.
With SS, there's a fair bit of challenge. I will admit. But still nothing compared to 2's difficulty. Which I've come to appreciate as I've gotten older. Kid-me absolutely hated how difficult Zelda 2 was, when I first emulated it. But when I came back as an adult, I was able to manage it. I grew and got good. And I wish that modern Zelda games would include difficulty selection, so I can play a game that actually challenges me. But sadly, you have to beat the main game in SS in order to unlock Hero Mode. And then Hero Mode is undermined, when you acquire the item that makes hearts appear.
Ultimately, Zelda 2 gives me a more open experience, with a difficulty that's more appropriate for my skill level, and doesn't interrupt me with too much story crap, so it's the better game.

I'm confused. Nintendo has been working on Prime 4 for years. And in the meantime, they released other Metroids. Zelda has been getting regular releases. And Mario & Luigi transferred developers.

They pretty much confirmed the switch's eshop will carry over to the next console, and even if it didn't it would probably stay up for a few more years
