Felt this way since I saw the movie Jeepers Kreepers.
The idea of some nut driving along an empty piece of highway hacking people up in his abandon looking shack basement is scary as frick. The half way point of the movie it turns out its a monster and it only does this when the radio plays the song because reasons. Lost all sense of fear at that point as its not something that could happen. A horrible inverse or twisted version of ourselves or whats around us is scarier than any hellscape or monster as its closer to home.
Yeah weird how that movie started off so strong and ended so stupidly. Almost like it was made by 2 extremely different groups of people.
