Why has no game got the feeling of high-speed movement right since this one?
Everything always feel so floaty by comparison. Every step and jump had the perfect weight in Prototype.

it's not so bad and really is the best of what you're asking for since prototype. crackdown was good too but that's 360 only. never played 2.

Yes
You jump on button press, not release, and jump higher by holding the button. Felt like shit. Not satisfying at all. Also they put dodge on jump so you couldn’t do air attacks on combos without doing this by long dodge animation constantly that put you back on the ground anyway. 2 is so fricking Inferior in every way

it's incredible. I have 130 hours in it just because the combat is so good I just replay levels over and over
I thought the movement in Spider-Man felt pretty fluid after a few points in the webslinger skill tree
If you don't mind the anime aspect of it, I've been enjoying Neon White. It's not quite exactly like prototype where you move around an open world, but the entire game is focused on movement and getting around levels as fast as possible. There's some gunplay but it's part of the movement too.
you should clarify that it has some floatiness to it, 99% of the time you're stuck in mid-air waiting to fall, it's because you missed a Stomp or mistimed a jump, but I can absolutely see it filtering some people.
That's the shit I hate in movement for games. Like Infamous. You have these little floaty actions because it's trying to lock onto edges and shit. It's awful.
the good news is that there's almost none of that shit in the insanely optimized runs, so this is one of those "the better you get, the more bullshit you can skip" situations.

i did them but the camera is funky and i need to limit the fps to 60.
60 fps is fine you don’t need this 15 year old game to run at 240 fps to play it. It played fine at 30 fps 720p back then, enjoy the 1440 60 upgrade.
I’m not sure what the camera thing you’re referring to is, are you playing with a controller? I just replayed the game last week and didn’t have issues. Even tried some hd texture mods for once
