Why haven't you played one of the greatest RPGs to ever exist yet?
>Massive amount of side-content. Literally 50-60 hours can be skipped if you just stick strictly to the main quest. Game rewards you for exploring and talking to people.
>Great writing for companions. Personalities can clash if certain party members are together. Party members who are of like-mind will also conversate and give support to each other.
>Can roleplay as whatever character you want. Dick ass thief, righteous paladin, the game accommodates you no matter what.
>Most dilemmas brought up aren't just black and white. Game delves into morally grey territory at times and prompts the player to think on them.
>Most antagonists/bosses actually have motives and character that makes them interesting to fight against.
>Has an expansion pack that ties up the story in a satisfying way.

Everytime I feel like playing BG2, I always remember that it was satisfying to bring a leveled char from BG1.
But BG1 can feel like such a fricking slog.
Where can I safely pirate these games? I'm a tech moron and poor.

Already did. I thought DA O and the sequels would be great, they all sucked( enjoyed da2 for the combat).
POE is basically a book, i placed 80 hours in and cant recall crap.
PoE was good, but the sequel is another matter altogether.

No. Planescape is what it is. I hate not being able to find something comparable to BG. The industry calls games like DA as the next BG, gives it great reviews, I played it and thought it was bg for beginners. Pillars i did not find memorable but i have yet to complete it.
Same way I felt for diablo 2, ended up playing torchlight, divinity,nox, ect... and the only thing that felt as an equal has no end aka path of exile.
