Why I never heard people talking about this one?
I recently completed its singleplayer campaign and it's good both gameplay-wise and story-wise.

      lol
old Ganker wouldn't be caught dead playing COD after 2

The GOAT CoD for me. After putting a million hours into it I decided to make the KSG(dogshit slug shotgun) my most used weapon. Still managed to have a 2. k/d with that garbage. Good times.

The last good cod game, after bo2, its only downhill

I liked bo3. It didn't feel like cod at all and I think it was the right direction.
I'm a little upset that generic mw became popular.
I'd take battle royale from bo4 (if it actually worked) instead of warzone.

bo3 is such a weird case. it was hated by cod fans because it played so differently, but non-cod fans refused to play it because its cod and it must be another generic military shooter. its really a shame it couldnt find a market and the high speed, vertical stuff is basically gone forever and were stuck in a another loop of modern/ww2 games.

also find it funny the campaign angered and confused the cod fanbase so much that everyone was calling it shit because they didnt understand it.

I liked it a lot(not as much as BO2) but I instaquit when they added weapons to the game that you could only get in loot boxes. Completely killed it for me.

            >added weapons to the game that you could only get in loot boxes.
wasnt that aw? i think bo3 only had skins. it has been a while so i could just not remember.

            >its really a shame it couldnt find a market and the high speed, vertical stuff is basically gone forever
It was just poor man's titanfall and they copy pasted it into infinite warfare as well, the omnidirectional thrust movement system in advanced warfare had greater depth and utility and was much more interesting and that didn't even get another game

yeah its just a titanfall copy, but i dont like the robots so bo3 scratched that itch.

Nah BO3 had them. The MX Garand, the weird one shotting dart gun, one shotting shotgun pistol, and a few others I don't remember. I remember grinding out the game to get 10 loot boxes and not getting a single new gun. I forced myself to quit after that.

I always thought 3's story was shit. 1 and 2 hooked me while the first hour of 3 bored me. What did you like about it or what did I miss?

If very short zombie mode writer was responsible for bo3 story.

            >what did I miss
you die at the beginning of the game and everything after that is a jumble of someone else's implanted memories but out of order and details missing/changed. the twist that youre meant to figure out on your own is that the whole game is a hallucinatory death rattle. you, as the player, are supposed to be questioning these strange plot twists and transitions, but because the average cod player is either braindead or expects the plot to be saturday morning cartoon tier, it flew over a lot of people's heads.

the most annoying part is that iw had said saturday morning cartoon plot and people loved it.

I still think bo1 is the best

it was the start of the series going towards a more futuristic setting so a lot of people were turned off, it also doesn't help that it had the worst zombies maps, that said, the campaigns is definitely one of my favorites

I liked the branching paths story this game had, even if the choices you could make were pretty stupid in the end. All the levels were extremely forgettable though compared to waw and bo1.
