  1. >DC only cares about Batman
No YOU only care about Batman
Batman outsells everything by a huge margin. Want something else? Stip buting Batman. DC would have to be retarded to risk it on some other character that wont sell when they can lean on the free money.

  2. Batman is so much more popular than every other hero on under his own steam that there’s no point in doing shit with other people when they’ll just draw less than Batman will with the same amount of effort

  3. Because Batman and the Joker are the only characters DC has that sell. And instead of trying to change that by making cool games or movies of their less popular or less known characters to get the normie masses interested, they just keep trying to make the lame ass Suicide Squad happen because DC and WB desperately want their own Guardians of the Galaxy. Meanwhile, Green Lantern and the various Lantern Corps are acryallt ripe for doing just that but they are too afraid of even trying because of the Ryan Reynolds one that bombed.

tl;dr DC and WB are incredibly stupid and continue to make the same dumb mistakes while trying to play catch up with the MCU instead of understanding why the MCU worked to begin with.

    • and even when they are fucking given a chance with the zack snyder justice league to have their own dcu, they fucked it up by canning everything zack snyder. WB and AT&T just can not do shit right

  4. rich people like batman cause he is rich, they promote batman. Poor and underdog people like batman because he has no powers and fights beings with powers. Writers like batman because batman can fit a shitload styles of writing. Fuck sakes DC means Detective Comics. I just don’t get why we can’t have more crazier Batman games from his elseworlds or something.

  5. Because Batman is the only figure in DCU that talks about morality as a civil issue instead of an independent one. There aren’t many moral caricatures you can make out of Mr. Myxlplyx or Darkseid, and I don’t imagine it’s very easy to attach moral concerns to Red Lantern Corps or Blue Lantern Corps without confusing your audience. Batman’s comics are really easy to differentiate because of their moral agency and facility of reason.

Players want moral agency for their superhero games, Superman Returns proved that no one gives a crap about philosophy in their superhero vidya. Spider-Man PS4 is one of the best selling superhero games of all time, and it has this huge, dramatic, symphonic moral lesson in it.

      • Spider-Man used to be an extraordinary comic book hero for philosophy and other cornerstones of thought, but he has become more iconic and popular for his moral attitudes lately. Batman on the other hand has kind of always been a steadfast hero in his moral intrigue, people know him for his pacifism and ability to show mercy.

          • >Yes, let’s market our moral values as confusing and meticulously wrought with formality so our fans will know we have separated the art from artist

Are you seriously complaining that pacifism and liberty are somehow not involved with at least a fraction of elegance, especially in comic books?

        • Batman is hardly a pacifist or merciful, he’s just a violent man with extreme amounts of discipline and restraint and a delusional view of morality. Anyone with sense can see that it would be far more merciful and morally right to just kill most of his villains to spare the people of Gotham any further suffering.

  6. It’s not that they don’t promote other superheroes, it’s that whenever they try they fail spectacularly. For some reason nobody at DC knows how to write any superhero that isn’t bats.
