Also, when do you get to make a third base? what level? and wheres the best spot? i heard that theres some endgame zones where you can get your Pals to farm Sulphur or some other important resource?
Apparently you farm for coal in the desert area after you have your ore sorted

gear durability needs to be removed. there is enough ingot/refined ingot/pal ingot grind as it is. i dont know how these Black folk thought this was a good idea.
Nah it's fine you're just not farming it properly, you've already said that much. I've got my second base sitting on 9 ore loads, constantly mining that shit, I've got 3 fire slaves constantly baking that shit, I'm swimming in ingots. Refined ingots, well I'm a bit fricked in that regard still because I haven't built the coal base yet
im glad the game works for you but for most of us the automation does not work because the automation relies on pals working. and they dont work a lot of the time.

Yeah I thought so too before I realized the game has a stress system. That meter that says "SAN" or something, whatever that stands for. You need to swap pals out once it goes down too low, they just don't work when they're too stressed
when i say "dont work" i mean they literally do not function as they should. i.e. getting stuck somewhere, dying randomly, falling off cliff
Yeah that does sometimes happen, if you see someone stuck you just redrop them into the base. It's a janky game what can I say, just another thing you have to look out for
exactly. so reliably automating iron ore production is not something that's plausible. with wood and stone all they have to do is sit at the yard and harvest. with iron ore they have to mine the ore, it has to fall to the ground, a pal has to transport all of it to the nearest chest without getting stuck, then YOU have to empty the chest and put it in the furnace and if the fire pal feels like it they'll smelt it for you. there's too many points where the game can bug out in this process so it's just not plausible.

Well it works for me and I'm no genius. Maybe put in some effort anon. Best advice is to specialize the pals. If you want 3 pals to carry shit, pick 3 pals who can ONLY carry shit, and that's what they'll do.

is ferrying all that material from base to base to get what you need annoying? i hope they introduce some sort of courier/teleport/transport system to ship resources around in future.

And w'allah you moved a ton of ore from one base to another in under 5 seconds
the further away from the thingy you want your Pals to interact with, the significantly more delayed the transport process is, and the far higher the odds of pathing bugs etc will happen.
I'll try to keep that in mind for future base builds however, i think i can balance out both issues.
Yeah I have 3 pals to carry my ore and yet sometimes about half of it is still uncollected when I come to check up on them. That's when you need that weight stat

they should at least triple the durability of all but the early game axe+pickaxe items.

It's pretty different from everything that came before because it mixed ark style survival with botw style exploration and pokemon style pokemon catching/breeding/raising. The mon mechanics of ark/conan are pathetic in comparison.

Gameplay is shallow as frick, you shoot the pokemons and that's it. The pokemon only have 1 "weakness", other than that you just let your pokemon autobattle while you shoot them, they don't dodge either, they just run around slowly and autoaim shit at you.

There is a tower with "trainers" that only have 1 Pal, which are basically big damage sponges and easy to defeat.

Lets be straight here Palworld is absolute dogshit from a game design perspective. You unlock a button to build a thing hit a tree to build that thing which lets you unlock a thing you hit a tree and you repeat this. This is 95% of the "gameplay" you will be doing.But the fact you can find pokemon, breed them, capture them, make them fight, and do stupid shit like use guns and arm them is enough of a fun 5% to justify the rest of the shitty experience.
Compare it to Valheim or Enshrouded which just launched and barely touched 100k users. Both are EXACTLY the same game, but neither let you do anything actually fun. They're all grind, no reward for it. Does Valheim let you lead a ship with a bunch of AI and fight other ships? Or wield the power of any Norse gods to do fun shit? No. Does Enshrouded let you summon giant meteor storms or learn powerful magic? No.
Does Palworld let you capture a giant blue dumbass and then arm him with rockets and fire so many rockets it looks like you're playing EDF? Yes, and its fun, and that makes it a better game.
