Been feeling this the past few weeks. It feels like dread and my life will never full or content. Classic scratched that nostalgic itch so perfectly, and now a few years later I'm missing it again.
I played on a private server and the majority of my guild logged on for a total of 6 hours a week just for the 3 raids. You really don't have to let it consume your life, unless you want to hit HWL/GM then you have to call out work for a month. But after you get your gear, you're good.

At least until WotLK I could pretend the isolated islands/"worlds" had something to do with WarCraft lore but past that I just felt like it was too off the rails to have anything to do with WC lore.
