That the poster I was replying to is wrong. I think the mgs games are good. Just not for the reasons most people cite because I think it's a case of nostalgia clouding their judgement.
>What is complicated about LOS stealth?
Play it on European Extreme homosexual. I dare you.
An assessment of a games quality should not hinge on the fringe difficulty modes. Normal difficulty is what the vast majority of people choose when starting any new game. The people who choose easy or hard are outliers. And you're fine to be that way, but don't get mad when I speak the truth.
>intricate gameplay
What is complicated about LOS stealth? >attention to detail
Damn bro that's crazy. So much detail. Wow. I'm so impressed.

The game isn't that deep. Shut up homosexual. It's a clever, well developed game with fantastic level design and gives you plenty of tools on how you can play through a game. Want to kill everyone? Go use lethal weapons. Want non-lethal? Go right ahead. And the political tones of the game being told through a fictional world is what makes it special. Well made, well thought out level design. Without Hideo Kojima MGS wouldn't be possible. He's quite a genius. Need I say more?
The real reason is top tier quality of everything except writing which is ok I guess if you never picked up a book. The music, the direction, the sound design its all top tier. And one thing that you can't take from Kojima, the game has style. I despise Persona 5 with a passion but I understand why people like it. It has a neat presentation and its own personality that makes it unique. MGS is campy. Now dont think too much about how nanomachines are literally magic.
>personality >good art direction >attention to detail and medium awareness combined with serious military drama remains unusual to this day and most attempts to copy it are a little embarrassing
MGS1 is one of the most earnest games I feel like I've ever played. It really has that passion project feeling to it that you don't get out of a lot of games like it nowadays.
Which games did it influence? There's Splinter Cell and what else
The Splinter Cell Series
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Far Cry 4
Hitman series
Manhunt
Thief Deadly Shadows
Bioshock Infinite
The Last of Us
Dishonored series
Tenchu series
Mark of the Ninja
Sniper Elite 4
Commandos 2
Alpha Protocol
Assassin's Creed (costume is in MGS4)
Ghost of Tsushima
Syphon Filter
You see, that's the thing. You would never understand the influences of these games because you simply had to be there. And I feel bad that you weren't around when games were evolving from 2D to 3D.
That's a film series
with very intricate gameplay and attention to detail. homosexual
This. So much this. Zoomies don't know what the frick they're talking about.
I could get the full experience just watching on YouTube. Especially mgs4
>Spoken like a true zoomer
You can say that for any game moron.
>intricate gameplay
What is complicated about LOS stealth?
>attention to detail
Damn bro that's crazy. So much detail. Wow. I'm so impressed.
what is your point, homosexual

I'm playing Metal Gear Solid as we speak. How am I able to type and reply to you whilst playing it, you ask?
Because it's a movie

Did you beat MGS non lethally? Damn bro, you crazy. Tell me how you did it, please.
The Psycho Mantis scene is one of the most famous moments in gaming history. Not even today nothing can match that part of the game.
>That's a film series
Play each game in the series in European Extreme mode and let me know if it's a film game.

La creatividad came up with a concept called "movie game".
Dumb game I prefer the original

Oh, and Resident Evil 4
it's not, millenials are just massive nostalgia-tards

This but unironically. Yong will reply to this post and argue, but you’re right.
>Has to be the best or worst thing ever
>Can't just be a fun action game or not your thing
The internet is full of homosexuals
