You don't have a 4k tv
if you're playing on PC turn off interlacing
it essentially runs at half resolution with that setting on
it is off
It requires TAA to be on otherwise the hair effects break. If you turn that off the game looks crisper but the hair looks like shit.
your lifetime of playing video games has finally caught up to you
you need new eyes.
>mom constantly bitching about me playing videogames when young
>older
>mom constantly bitching about sitting in front of computer monitor all day
>turn 30 last year
>noticeably older but still have 20/20 vision
>no blurriness or any eye problems
It's a fucking meme honestly. If you have shit eyes it's because you have shit genetics.
Of course it fucking was anon, everyone knows it is was. Did you genuinely believe that shit?
>you have shit genetics
If your really think that, then look at the sun for 1 minute anon. Surely your superior genetics won't let the sun affect your eyes.
>staring at the sun and purposely damaging your eyes is the same thing as having being prone to eye problems because of your shit genetics
moron brain ape moment. Here's your (You) anyway tard.
let me let you in on a little secret. dental hygiene has little to do with tooth decay. Some people can never brush there teeth and never get a cavity. Some people can take immaculate care and still have there teeth rotted out by the time they are 50.
Chromatic aberration.
just like real life
If you're playing on PC get the RE IMMERSION reshade mod. It lets you tinker with a bunch of different visual effects. Can make the game a lot sharper, brighter/darker, etc.
The AA in this game is either too blurry or too minimal, your best chance is to raise rendering percentage above 100 until it looks good enough without tanking your performance.
Meme settings that PC tards all have on.
Turn off:
Chromatic aberration.
Blur
Interlacing
TAA
Bloom (No Developer knows how to implement this)
Motion Blur
Use the mod to enable DLAA.
>Reframework
>DLSS quality mod
>expanded FOV
it's gamer time.
Film grain+TAA
TAA + tons of other eye rape filters, like in every other modern "AAA" game. Without 'em, they look like PS1 games.
Right looks like re4 remake
Why the fuck do devs not do MSAA anymore? Shit was great. At least provide the option and let players choose
afaik MSAA just doesn't work with modern games.. it was used during the everything-is-a-square phase of gaming, and yeah it was beautiful (except on anything not a square like fences)
You can't use MSAA with modern rendering without destroying performance. It will eat FPS faster then ray tracing.
it doesn't work with deferred lighting which was the big thing of last 10-15 years. it might come back, a lot of modern games are using a different system. RE engine will have been started when that was the big thing tho so it's TAA-based
>CRT vs LED thread
RE engine is dogshit
>playing on PS4
I thought it was RE Engine, but MH World isn't RE Engine so I have no idea.
it's called TAA/FXAA. it's literally a blur filter on every single game.
It's just Temporal AA, usually mixed with sub-native resolution scaled up to your screen res, then coated with motion blur, DOF, and other filters. It's not a RE-Engine specific issue, it's a modern cancer.
TAA and FXAA are two completely different post-processing methods.
FXAA used to be bashed waaay back in the day, but well implemented it's way less obscuring than TAA.
However, when most devs these days use dithering to fake gradients, transparencies and such, FXAA is not enough to cover them, which results in noisy and unstable image. Enter the Temporal Anti-Aliasing, which uses multiple frames, even multiple angles to gain enough approximation data over time to generate an image that looks good enough at a glance, but obviously is blurry AF if compared to unfiltered image.
Drunk OP
Did you misplace you glasses?
Doesn't look too bad from here.
what mods or sharpening filter?
No mods and iirc just 80% of CAS (plus obviously running at 4k).
>80% of CAS
makes sense.
CAS? Currently paying this and would love to make it look like this.
Contrast adaptive sharpening. AMD has it built into their driver suite but it is implemented in reshade for Nvidia and Intel users as noted.
is it ackshuly gud or just eyeslop? every reshade i've tried has either appeared to do nothing or overkilldogshit
Look at the pictures posted and see for yourself. CAS is built into the FidelityFX suite and as such is a component of FSR (1 and 2) as well. It is more sophisticated than a simple sharpening filter even if that is ultimately all it does.
you mean this?
Yes. AMD likes to name things to be special but that is just CAS at its heart.
Step 1. Download reshade
Step 2. When installing reshade for RE2, select to install CAS.
Step 3. Enable CAS with reshade.
>needing reshade for CAS
teehee
DLSS > FSR.
Nvidia's driver sharpening sucks dicks, but at least I can get the best of both.
Everything's so blurry and every NPC so fake.
And every room is empty and every puzzle is so messed up.
Get better eyes or better screen fsggot
Turn the sharpening all the way up to Capcom. It’s the small knob in your pants don’t forget to turn it top wise 7 times
Works on my machine.
Why do all you anons have issues with this game? I've played it both on PS4 and on my PC and it looked sharp as shit on both.
it looks good but it is not sharp.
The real crime of RE2R is the SSR - thankfully the ray tracing update fixes that.
