It’s amazing how hard they try to push shit like this as normal when literally everyone just sees it as fricking innately hilarious
Just two utterly massive men staring at each other like that is instant comedy for 99% of all people and 1% would be “moved” by it in any other way
The fujos who play DA nowdays demanded a very confused Gaider take action and rally the troops against a mod that made Sera and Dorian straight, because it was literally conversion therapy via vidya gaems, and this is in a world where the gay Allistair mod was already jerked-off by game journos
Friendly reminder that these are the same homosexuals that modded out a straight shota relationship in persona because it was "creepy"
The people who want free love don't even want fictional free love, just real life debauchery.
Not him but heterosexual relationships shouldn't ever be considered inherently creepy. Even if one party is younger, it's normal for males and females to be attracted to one another.

Adults with prepubescents is creepy as frick 100% of the time to anyone remotely normal
Wow, Gaider is actually being totally normal about it. For some reason I was expecting him to be joining the freakout in some fashion but he's just like "It's basically just fanfiction people. It's nothing worth being upset over."
Nexus.... good????? There's no way this would've lasted if it happened a year later though, and people weren't already reeling from SU morons on Tumblr making someone suicidal over roughly the same fandom violation

Should have been able to make a powerplay of uncertain success. also
Frick Qunari. They should all be killed on sight. Definitely shouldn't have been playable or had abominations like Iron Bull in the group.
Wait, I think I care too much. nvm

No they’ll just add the same generic gay and troon shit, like some “bigot” that only throws out minor insults like “act like a man” or some milquetoast shit like that to some troon and is almost immediately killed in an overly brutal and comedic way. They already did some similar shit with Dorian and his dad in Inquisition.

While I do like Dorians character and that moment, it felt off. Like it was some kind of self insert shit by one of the writers (Gaider). It was just the generic why don’t you except me? Type shit that when you examine why his father did it you’ll know is not the case

I know but the way it’s framed and the way most people interpret is “my dad doesn’t except my life style and tried to change me”. When in reality his dad just wanted him to enter a political sham marriage and produce and heir for House Pavus and then he was free to do whatever. Which is a normal thing in both Thedas and real life. But the BioWare can’t seem to comprehend this so they make Nobles that are masters of politics do dumb shit like refuse to marry. They also did this with Celene, who refused to marry Gaspard because of her lesbian elven fricktoy

They're definitely on the ragged edge of the corpse pit. Andromeda got the rest of its proposed trilogy dumpstered so hard that they're actually aiming for a post-3-ending Shepherd game to revive the series, and Anthem was a ten-year live service plan that got slated for a complete rework after one, and was officially abandoned after two. Not to mention, EA had originally decided to double-down on long-term monetization schemes with DA4 multiplayer after letting Fallen Order release without any, but now they consider that an unsafe risk. Says something when EA of all companies doesn't trust you to add lootboxes.

People like to frame Morrigan as the darker character because of Flemeth and her overall personality but in reality she is very sheltered the first time she ever really left the wilds was with the HoF and Alistair. Where as Leliana had been orphaned, recruited by Marjolaine, trained to be a bard, and would go on to kill many. When you take all that into consideration Morrigan is just an edgy goth girl standing next to the female equivalent of John Wick

Riding a mount is faster than walking or running on foot, but sprinting on a mount doesn't give more speed than the speed of the mount itself (which is more than running on foot)
For some reason, modern game developers live in pants-wetting terror of loading screens, and will use all sorts of tricks to try and hide when the game needs time to load the rest of the map. Like the constant "squeezing through a narrow corridor" segments that every movie game uses nowadays.
>Like the constant "squeezing through a narrow corridor" segments that every movie game uses nowadays.
That isn’t actually a loading screen anymore most of the time, they add it deliberately to build tension or because they think it’s fun. Glitching through in GoW or Tomb Raider shows it isn’t hiding loading, and in ‘ogwarts you can blink through the crevices and the game doesn’t mind. Hell half the places you need to crouch are literally into tiny rooms you can see the entirety of from the outside.
I kinda had some fun for a few hours because I played with the German dub and the game was essentially Wesley Snipes, Christopher Judge, Hugh Jackman and The Rock fricking up shit.
Otherwise it's pure shit.
The horse was fricking worthless, I thought initially that it was supposed to be slow and you could get better mounts or upgrade them - NOPE it was all just cosmetic changes, it stays as shit as it is from the beginning.
They don't watch the Templars, though. In fact, pretty much all the bullshit you have to deal with while you're trying to save the world is because the Seekers are not doing their fricking jobs.
Well, they did watch the Templar but they decided that things haven't gotten out of hand yet so they didn't do anything. They philosophy was to deal with the issue later rather than stop it at the roots.
>They don't watch the Templars, though. In fact, pretty much all the bullshit you have to deal with while you're trying to save the world is because the Seekers are not doing their fricking jobs.
Well, yeah, like anon said, they're glowies.
Because politics in particular Fereldan and Orlesia forced your hand. Although I think there should have been an "evil" ending where you can keep the Inquisition and subjugate the other countries.
They're the equivalent of CIA of the ferelden/orleais. If you don't disband the inquisition their power and influence will corrupt the organization and make them the same evil that they originally rose up to fight against.
No like another anon said they’re more like Interpol The Seekers are the CIA. Also the first Inquisition disbanded and became into The Seekers and by extension The Templars and we know how that turned out. There just need to be checks and balances as well as some safeguards to prevent corruption.
>horn of valor upgrade >combat roll >barrier amulet (You did obviously side with the Templars, right?) >you're now almost invincible as a warrior, the only thing that could be slightly challenging if you're not standing still are the damage stacks from the jaws dlc but even that's nothing
Pretty funny - but there's a broken option you can do for every single class so it doesn't matter.
>every game makes sure to basically say ''hey mages are very powerful but not just for their ability to destroy but because they also can heal'' >take away healing spec and the concept of healing almost entirely except through niche things like knight enchanter (which might as well not exist as an ability) and fade-touched stuff and obviously potions
I know it's because they wanted to slightly move away from the ''trinity'' but I didn't like it too much
Warriors essentially became the new healers with guard generation.
Just boost the shit out of STR. The rest in Con. If I recall, the key to getting 2h dps at it's best is to not spam attacks and let them fully cycle before going for another.
Two-handed warriors are tricky at the best of times, but Sten is especially bad because he's the only companion who only gets one specialization. Even Dog at least gets some unique skills.
>dwarf >get leliana for song of valor since you need the stamina regen early on >get a few points into willpower, the rest into DEX and STR >shit ton of bombs so you can do damage while waiting for your cooldowns >don't spend all your stamina into sustained abilities like a moron
quite easy, really
im gonna post thoughts about dragon age
shale is an awful companion. funny and well-written, but 5 skill tracks with nearly zero synergy between them to "diversify" her role as a squaddie made her bad or at best boring
the architect is based as frick and I always help him. lol @ future DA games never following up on this besides soft confirming what was already pretty heavily implied (his identity)
i have a special distaste for zevran. Not because he's a gay, but because as a role-playing game there's no fricking world where a Warden would EVER, good or evil, recruit Zevran. He's a literal backstabber paid to kill you. Let him go, maybe, recruit him? Frick off.
Executing Loghain only exists for speedreaders, fujos, and variety. There is almost no justification for killing him. He's an butthole but was correct about the King being a dumbfrick, he's the only chance the Wardens have at being restored in Ferelden, and you need the favor of his daughter, not to mention "sparing" Loghain had a really good chance of killing him horribly with no downside anyway
people shit on The Fade but the entirety of DAO is a long, long series of zones I never want to play through again. all of it is trash. as a whole, great game, but far far greater than the sum of its parts
the qun is awesome as a concept.
Morrigan and Sten's schizo approval gains or losses were fricking annoying, namely both losing approval if you agree to tell a guy you'll see if you see his daughter as you pass through a captured castle you're going to go into regardless
Sten's approval actually made sense. He respects people who stand up for themselves, are firm in their beliefs even if different from his own, and Leliana calling him a softie is accurate since telling him he can stay with you nets a +20 approval.
Loghain only exists for speedreaders, fujos, and variety.
You do know you can sit Alistair on the throne, completely removing the need to have the throne back you by controlling it by proxy through Alistair. Not like it's CK2 where you're going to control it, but there's no need to keep Loghain alive at all.
Anon, you're talking to a moron. He literally said there's no good reason to ever recruit Zevran, a fair but extreme opinion, but immediately went on to say executing Loghain, the dude who fricking hired Zevran, as well as every other assassin, who also went on to almost cause a civil war, is a speedreader's decision.
speedreader speedreads again
If your goal is just "i kill bad guy!!!" then yeah sure kill loghain. problem is killing him gives you nothing and can cost you dearly, while sparing him has huge rewards and dooms him anyway because he's either going to die to the joining or to darkspawn blood poisoning later
recruiting zevran is a decision that, with all in-character knowledge at the time, makes no sense and is likely self-destructive because zevran has no goal beyond killing you for money
recruiting loghain is a decision that, with all in-character knowledge at the time, makes 500x more sense than the alternative and actively progresses your goal of stopping the Blight because loghain in the end has the same goal you do
you probably missed every single reason executing Loghain is stupid because, again, you're a speedreader >Loghain is widely beloved by nearly everyone in Ferelden up to and including the moment you barge into his keep and slaughter him, proving his crimes and offering atonement-through-joining for a literal hero does a lot towards gaining the favor of possibly powerful allies >again, antagonizing his powerful daughter does nothing to help you >ultimately, you're executing Loghain as retribution for Duncan who was very specific in teaching that Wardens end the blight at any cost (like recruiting Loghain)
I am that anon, shut the frick up homosexual. I also did not read your post.

>neither of those anons but
Loghain was to dangerous to be left alive plus he needed to pay for his crimes even if Cailan was incompetent he was still his king that he swore to serve. Not to mention the son of his two greatest friends who he fought with to free Ferelden from the Orlesians. No Loghain was wrong he was blinded by paranoia and bitterness that nearly drove ferelden to destruction
>problem is killing him gives you nothing and can cost you dearly, while sparing him has huge rewards
Having him on your team loses Alistair, the actual heir to the throne, in exchange for an ousted traitor and oathbreaker with no remaining powerbase
>saving a mad dog who bites the hand that feeds
Lmao, the only thing wrong with the Landsmeet is that you couldn't kill Anora too and wipe out these uppity commoners.
Inquistion got do big, so fast that the Inquisitor didn't notice all the shit going on. The organization became corrupt and the easiest wsy to deal with it is to disband.
The only good thing of that game was that almost perfect tomboy waifu I say almost because she's a bit old, and had sex with a different man before you which is inherently cucked. Still best girl in Inquisition.
>romance Cassandra >turn her into the next Divine >turn the Inquisition into her personal bodyguards >get to officially go whethever she goes and frick her >??? >profit
Better yet how about the long con >make Alistair King of Ferelden >recruit Sten and get his sword back so he becomes Arishok >do the ritual with Morrigan and have Kieran >become Warden Commander of Ferelden >make Leliana Divine >??? >profit
why the frick would you play this troony game

Considering neither of those characters look like they're gay, this is especially funny.
Dorian is obviously a flaming homosexual, what universe do you live in where eyeliner on a man isn’t full bore buttpirate?
There was much gayer looking straight men in the 80s
That is both wrong (comparing shit like rockstars to regular people is disingenuous at best) and irrelevant, this
is a gay to anyone with eyes and no amount of equivocating will dispute that.
While I agree with you, I have to acknowledge that this is how most Tevinter men look
You see that moustache on a lot of straight people these days?
It's set in medieval times there's lots of people with twirly mustaches

still haven't played this despite loving da:o, what's the most fun class and specialization?
Like the other anon said, do not play this.
If you insist, archer with tempest
2-handed Reaver
TO be fair, the kid got PTSD if you let him live
Maybe a 2h sword or stabby rogue.
If you loved DA:O, do yourself a favour and don't bother playing this.
but it's been 13 years since my first dao playthrough, i think it's time to move on... just so i can shitpost how bad it is at least
You can't really go wrong with mage or rogue they're both pretty strong, warriors feel kinda weak unless you go reaver.

>every game makes sure to basically say ''hey mages are very powerful but not just for their ability to destroy but because they also can heal''
>take away healing spec and the concept of healing almost entirely except through niche things like knight enchanter (which might as well not exist as an ability) and fade-touched stuff and obviously potions
I know it's because they wanted to slightly move away from the ''trinity'' but I didn't like it too much
Warriors essentially became the new healers with guard generation.
>tfw still no ugly bastard porn of sera breeding cassandra
There wasn't much porn. Shit games like Cisquisition or Forsaken don't even spark that type of interest.
I'm gonna start a DAO playthrough. What's a good way to not eat shit as a 2H Warrior I remember Sten being worthless because he wasn't tanky enough
Just boost the shit out of STR. The rest in Con. If I recall, the key to getting 2h dps at it's best is to not spam attacks and let them fully cycle before going for another.
I thought the trick to two-handers was to fire off skills the moment the autoattack connects to cancel the long-ass recovery animation?
Two-handed warriors are tricky at the best of times, but Sten is especially bad because he's the only companion who only gets one specialization. Even Dog at least gets some unique skills.
>dwarf
>get leliana for song of valor since you need the stamina regen early on
>get a few points into willpower, the rest into DEX and STR
>shit ton of bombs so you can do damage while waiting for your cooldowns
>don't spend all your stamina into sustained abilities like a moron
quite easy, really
why play warrior when you could simply not do that
I don't play rogue/mage, that's gay shit. Maybe if I were to play with a female PC, but I'm not a troon.
well warrior in dao is just a boring npc class, does literally nothing. much better in 2 and inquisition though.
Dual wield warrior has decent DPS. Sword and board is ass. Two hander isn't great. Arcane warrior is the best class in the game bar none
>Best thing about DAI
>Only about 5 minutes of screen time
>Only if you side with the faction Bioware obviously didn't want you to
It's not fair.
By not picking The Templars it means she can still be alive, plus Samson Is a much better secondary antagonist
im gonna post thoughts about dragon age
shale is an awful companion. funny and well-written, but 5 skill tracks with nearly zero synergy between them to "diversify" her role as a squaddie made her bad or at best boring
the architect is based as frick and I always help him. lol @ future DA games never following up on this besides soft confirming what was already pretty heavily implied (his identity)
i have a special distaste for zevran.
Just tell Sten to shut the frick up and keep marching. He loves that shit.
Sten's approval actually made sense. He respects people who stand up for themselves, are firm in their beliefs even if different from his own, and Leliana calling him a softie is accurate since telling him he can stay with you nets a +20 approval.
Loghain only exists for speedreaders, fujos, and variety. There is almost no justification for killing him.
If your goal is just "i kill bad guy!!!" then yeah sure kill loghain. problem is killing him gives you nothing and can cost you dearly, while sparing him has huge rewards and dooms him anyway because he's either going to die to the joining or to darkspawn blood poisoning later
recruiting zevran is a decision that, with all in-character knowledge at the time, makes no sense and is likely self-destructive because zevran has no goal beyond killing you for money
recruiting loghain is a decision that, with all in-character knowledge at the time, makes 500x more sense than the alternative and actively progresses your goal of stopping the Blight because loghain in the end has the same goal you do
you probably missed every single reason executing Loghain is stupid because, again, you're a speedreader
>Loghain is widely beloved by nearly everyone in Ferelden up to and including the moment you barge into his keep and slaughter him, proving his crimes and offering atonement-through-joining for a literal hero does a lot towards gaining the favor of possibly powerful allies
>again, antagonizing his powerful daughter does nothing to help you
>ultimately, you're executing Loghain as retribution for Duncan who was very specific in teaching that Wardens end the blight at any cost (like recruiting Loghain)
Im not that anon, but shut up homosexual. I didn't read your post
concessions accepted
>neither of those anons but
Loghain was to dangerous to be left alive plus he needed to pay for his crimes even if Cailan was incompetent he was still his king that he swore to serve. Not to mention the son of his two greatest friends who he fought with to free Ferelden from the Orlesians. No Loghain was wrong he was blinded by paranoia and bitterness that nearly drove ferelden to destruction
I am that anon, shut the frick up homosexual. I also did not read your post.
>problem is killing him gives you nothing and can cost you dearly, while sparing him has huge rewards
Me on the left
Cassy on the right
The only good thing of that game was that almost perfect tomboy waifu
I say almost because she's a bit old, and had sex with a different man before you which is inherently cucked. Still best girl in Inquisition.
It was one guy over 20 years ago why is that such a big fricking deal ago and he’s dead.
>she's a bit old
That's why I made my Inquisitor a young elf boy. Looks like a twink but goes tomboy hunting.
I always disband it, because all these b***hes can go and frick their high and holy asses, I don't need these cucks.
Did you even play the game moron? Because it was full of enemy spies.
Most of them left or were caught by the end of trespasser
>romance Cassandra
>turn her into the next Divine
>turn the Inquisition into her personal bodyguards
>get to officially go whethever she goes and frick her
>???
>profit
Better yet how about the long con
>make Alistair King of Ferelden
>recruit Sten and get his sword back so he becomes Arishok
>do the ritual with Morrigan and have Kieran
>become Warden Commander of Ferelden
>make Leliana Divine
>???
>profit
