It's 2054 anon, playing games at a sub 1000 framerate is completely asinine.

This would be much funnier if Ganker wasn't too fricking moronic to know that most games are animated at 30fps, even if they run at 184785r4678325r63727342674578286771`42176552785674r6fps.

It's pretty standard. 1024 divided by 100 is 10.24. Which is roughly 25.6.% of 40 and 120 is dividable with 40. Making it work perfectly with the Xframe pipelines

They probably just animated it at 24fps like you would with any walk cycle and then set it to an absurd amount of frame rate, I don't know about blender but Maya won't frick the animation up if you do that.

      Anonymous

Why does this need to be done in the animation software, can the game engine not into fractions?

        Anonymous

Honestly I don't know the Maya to engine pipeline, I only know how to work with animation within the software, I've heard about game animations being stuck in low frame rate before however.

how does it look in action?

They probably let the software add interpolation keyframes at some point. Newb error. What engine are they using tho? A decent one should haven't let them use them. And even better one would let them import them and work just fine at the target framerate.

I'm guessing so they can do slows without any stepping or unintended interpolation frickery.
24 frames can hide a shitloads of errors in the half way point between frames.

I cant remember the game but someone added a ship in a bottle as a decoration. the bottle was simple enough since it has been used elsewhere at the same scale. The ship however was a full sized one with interiors and everything but scaled down to fit inside.
they did it again for another 2 ships/bottles

moron devs being morons. They hit something wrong in blender. That shouldn't effect preformance assuming the sample rate is tied to a capped frame rate. But I don't expect them to know that
