you don't sit on some fricking pathway grinding out turnbased battles for ages to get to the next town
you don't have to go to some inn to heal to full, you barely need to visit the shop for items. any exploration you do is rewarded with extra dialogue.
There aren't that many games still worth playing from the 5th gen. I grew up with 6th so that's done. 7th was the worst time for video games.
