I swear half the time these morons "accidentally" release a Denuvoless version of a Denuvo'd game, it's actually people on the team pretending it was an accident.
Also they didn't "remove" the Denuvo from the game. Denuvo is added into it after they are done and before they release it. Which also means they need to patch out bugs in untouched copies which is what "leaked" and then apply an entirely new Denuvo iteration/key to it before release.
They just released a version that hadn't had Denuvo put into it yet. Likely because they aren't used to using Denuvo or because someone purposely made the "mistake".
they were likely planning to release it free of denuvo anyway like it often happens, but leaked it ahead
Although this is true that they typically do run out of their subscription to this DRM (fricking lmao) it would take a very big blunder or astronomical miscommunication to do it this early with just a patch.

Attacks and gameplay are all style and no substance. Disguising the lackluster combat by making the player attack fast with flashy spam because Koei somehow manages to have the same unimpactful shit in every game now.
The building gimmick is... strange. Very weird addition that doesn't do anything unique and just stylizes what was already possible in MH but in a weird inorganic way.
The performance will never be "good" regardless of Denuvo or not. The game was blatantly rushed and needed at least another year or 2 in development. And no, post-launch patches can't fix it to that degree.

the combat and gameplay is very good then you add the karakuri the building mechanics adds a a lot of substance shit the nodachi needs the karakuri to be viable seems you got filtered
the performance was great for me because i run a modern system this is a next gen game so if you have a 1000 series card dont expect it to run well
