Isn't this the game where they started off with showing the whole style and art direction first and people got hyped, and when they revealed more it was literally just a typical generic FPS but with flesh guns? Feels like if that's what they originally thought of then they never had a good idea for an actual game to begin with, they just had a visual style and everything else was an afterthought.

While i was initially hyped for it, i in fact believe that yes, it will suck.
They tried to achieve something unique by using flesh as technology and everything, which actually resulted in nothing interesting specifically, beacuse its just flesh at the end of the day.
And as for gameplay it looks like sony 3rd person walking simulator, but in 1st person.
I hope im wrong but i think its going to be abysmal trash with nothing interesting or remarkable that would let it be remembered other than 'that one game that took shit ton of time to develop and had meat and stuff in it'

It doesnt have to reinvent the wheel. You play horror games for the themes, not the over the top skillbased ability spam gameplay
I prefer slow paced resource managment horror games with strong aesthetics over the next hero shooter. The market is flooded with that adhd shit so go play this if you expect something fresh (nevermind it being stale horsepiss for years) . you buttholes are never happy with anything anyway, so just join these moronic communities instead of pestering us with your shit takes about gameplay

I'd like to be proven wrong, but my guess is >walking simulator with brief moments of uninspired and slow FPS combat with the occasional puzzle that doesn't challenge your brain at all, which will be over in <7 hours and the art style will lose magic halfway through
