Ganker is literally full of these fanboy homosexuals. They said the exact same thing unironically when it was revealed that Dread, like every other Switch game, plays better for free than on PC. You watch these pathetic c**ts crawl out of the wood work now. They're the same ones celebrating paying for a 720p 30fps version of Nier Automata five years after release. Fricking pathetic.
Unfortunately it's all console players, and a good chunk of NA/EU PC players. Corporations are embedded into the public school system from the first grade now.
>NOOO you cant just write software to read the data on that memory card you bought and own! >You are only allowed to read it using Nintendo's own hardware!!
People who emulate alway go on and on about how they emulate because a legal opction is not available for them and how they would totally support the game if there was a way to do it. Are you telling me that you dont actually give a shit and only want stuff for free?
Uh yeah.
The difference between the free version that's been available for the past 20 years and the new $30 ROM collection is that the latter has more input lag and achievements.
Not worth it for me, not like I need to travel to virus infested torrent sites for these downloads, they are just on Google Drives
I think the only game I've emulated that's available on modern consoles is FE4, and I don't think they did a translation for that unlike the FREE version. If an Armored Core or Ace Combat collection were to release on PC I'd buy it instantly but if I have to buy a console to get them I'm not interested, like with the DeS remake
I'd pay if there were a legal option that weren't taking the piss. The Wii U ports of old games were reasonably priced and I was happy to pay for them as a result. Paying £50 for a port of a 20 year old game is a joke.
>paying for roms
ultimate cuckery, I'd understand collecting carts and shit like that but paying for a fricking rom you can download for free from the internet is something I don't get
You get more value out of the easy-to-download free versions than the $30 version. You are literally encouraging bad business if you spend money on products that you don't get value out of.
>zoomer friends wanted to play Majora Mask and OoT >set it up for them and teach them how to get more roms >they've been actually playing more N64 games too
Sometimes it can be alright
the only zoomers I've talked to are literally afraid to directly interact with files, as if they're going to break something on the computer. smart phones were such a mistake.
Yes? But if its some super old piece of media that you can only get through trading/3rd party not so much. It still might be wrong but i'm not paying 400 dollars for .Hack Quarantine when i can emulate it. If anything companies at that point are more at fault because half the games people pirate could be sold on PC for like 5-10 bucks and i'm sure most of the people who pirated them would buy them out of convenience
The invisible hand of the market dictates that customers go where the value is best.
I can get the entire SNES, GBA, PS1 etc libraries from a Google Drive for free. That's the best value in gaming.
The only thing that'd beat that value is if a company sells me the hardware that can play all of those games natively without any graphical bugs.
If I could buy a PS1 hardware and games, I'd do that over download since that'd give me higher quality than emulation.
Even if Sony were to come up with a GamePass style system where I pay $10 month to get access to all PS1 games, I wouldn't do it since it's still a worse deal than doing the same thing for free while also actually owning every single game.
>linking rom sites so they get shut down
sadly
holy shit is that real? Are those real people? Wtf

>sucking the dick of corporations this bad
Why are tendies like this? Mental illness?
Unfortunately it's all console players, and a good chunk of NA/EU PC players. Corporations are embedded into the public school system from the first grade now.
Tendie cope.
>all console players
Shut up you disingenuous homosexual
>>all console players
Yes, all console players, you insufferable tribalistic homosexual
Found the otaku.
Well, it wouldn't be bad if Kotaku was shut down, but a game being emulable isn't neccesarily piracy, people are so dumb, goddamn.
>Daddy daddy waaahhhh wahhh
i support the tendies in this simply because kucktaku deserves to burn
>NOOO you cant just write software to read the data on that memory card you bought and own!
>You are only allowed to read it using Nintendo's own hardware!!
>American mutt lefties be like
><Heavy's Voice> NO!
His power cannot be replicated
you can just get them from archive .org,
they won't get shutdown, DMCA exempt
They got everything ps3 and before
You can filter dot threads with the following filter:
/^.+$/
why are there bots allowed on Ganker?? I thought captcha was supposed to filter them?
are you really a bot sir
>dot
>bot
>bot
are you not really a bot sir
yeah, super mario 3d all star sucks

>Are you telling me that you dont actually give a shit and only want stuff for free?
yeah
>everyone on the internet is the same person
why do you find it so hard to believe multiple unrelated people might do the same actions for different reasons?
If i have to own a current gen console to play a prior gen console game then I am pirating it. Plain and simple.
Uh yeah.

I only ever wanted shit for free. Frick you.
won't somebody think of the billion dollar game devs?
>Are you telling me that you dont actually give a shit and only want stuff for free?
yes
what's better than free? unless shitendo is actively paying me to play their games i will always go with the emulator, thank you
>paying for roms

Well, glad to see you guys embracing your freeloader side, I hope you gays never speak about "video game preservation" ever again.

>spoonfeeding
I'm on the NPC's side here, piracy evangelists are homosexuals who don't know how to gatekeep.
People never provide links though.

Top kek. Tell me, where can I find Rune Factory 4 for the 3ds?
same place you find other 3ds roms
took me less than a minute to find
Piracy is ethically and morally wrong.
A sacrifice for the greater good

For a board that hates SJWs they sure love the socialist idea of pirating games
leftoids worship corporations
you are the dumbest person alive
prove me wrong, dumbo
>>you are the dumbest person alive
T.
You don't know what socialist means
Wrong ideology, morono.

>NOOOOOOO DON'T DO THINGS THE WAY YOU LIKE, DO IT THE WAY I TELL YOU
I get the impression that the people hatting on Capcom Fighting Collection don't actually play or give a shit about any of the games in it anyway.
