People forget that Shenmue was one of the worst flops ever, yet got a sequel on the same console, massive critical acclaim, and a rabid fanbase that barked long and loud enough to get it not only rereleased but another sequel too. Just because something didn't sell well doesn't mean it won't be considered the best thing since sliced bread and memed for years.
