Wotlk kids unironically defending:
>Cutting 2 raids, Gundrak and Utgarde Keep
>Moving Argent Crusade main base from crystalsong forest, leaving zone literally empty
>Butchering nerub zone
>Making Anu'barak just a boss in low level dungeon
>killing all out world content, so people would never leave capital
>System where only new raid matters
>System with legendaries stopping mattering in next raid tier

Imagine caring about this cash grab trash at any stage of its lifecycle
this expansion unironically killed the game towards the end when they introduced LFG dungeons, cool overall but still not better than BC
>cool overall
Two worst raid tiers in history of series is "cool overall"?
>system where only new raid matters
WoW is based off of everquests idea of what "MMOs" should be, a gear treadmill that invalidates all previous content by completing the current tier. It's not an MMORPG and destroyed what the genre could have potentially been. The absolute worst thing, even more sinful than the game dynamics, is marketing and designing the game to draw in normies. They have destroyed the genre, the hobby, and any attempt to return things to where they once were is met with screeching when its either too difficult, inaccessible or you have to think for more than 5 minutes about how it works.
Frick Blizzard, frick SOE, frick Fires of Heaven. Activision didn't destroy the game or genre. Most of all, FRICK NORMIES.
wtf is an mmorpg then
more open ended where the players make their own stories, not having blizzard ramrodding it down your throat or forcing players to grind instanced raids, removed from the game world, that invalidates previous content
Kinda bullshit because in everquest you NEEDED to grind raid just to get gear for the next expack
And even if wow during vanilla-bc, besides molten core, people did bwl/aq aside of naxx and all bc raids for various reasons, in wotlk there was no reason to ever touch anything that isn't actual right now
gearscre, cross-server and lack of content ruined this game. remember wotlk was rushed out the window and most of the stuff that was suppose to be in never ended up there.
God I wish they would retroactively add Death Knights to vanilla so I could play something fun. All vanilla classes are really unsatisfying for me.
Classes were at their best at Cataclysm-MoP. Everything after that was full moron
Introduces dk that can frick up 70% of the remaining classes in pvp without any effort
Fricks up bgs with his deathgrip bullshit pulling you into his group securing a kill every time
Making it a pure walking annoyance just to fight against
I will never forgive blizzard for being absolutely shit at balancing when it comes to pvp
Wrath had its problems but it was was so fricking good back in the day
Until 3.2
>but it was was so fricking good back in the day
It wasn't
All true oldgays left in disgust because it was THAT bad
>Moving Argent Crusade main base from crystalsong forest, leaving zone literally empty
This one at least had a decent reason, being so close to Dalaran it created a shitload of lag for the zone so they had to find somewhere else to put it.
WOTLK is only celebrated because of Arthas gays. Change my mind
to me, the lore ended when Arthas died.
please, have a nice day
Arthas was turned into a complete different character which was a trash vador
Arthas always was garbage
And also his story was literally starwars retold since wc3
WoW could have ended here. The game hit its peak in every way during this expansion, and it could have died the greatest MMO ever created. Why couldn't they just let it end and move onto Titan?
WoD and BFA were similar "peaks", especially if you loved wotlk, lmao
Because capitalism. Also TBC was WoW's peak.
not to nitpick but anub'arak is the last boss in a raid too
Only because of fan reaction to his death in the dungeon.
Ner'zhul didn't get such treatment though
