Wow, this almost feels like a video game when you get 10-13 hours in. I realized I had to think while fighting a boss and that I might die if I didn't use my brain. 10/10 game!

This is why XBCX is the best game in the series.

      Based.

The only game in the series where you're required to use your brain for once and really explore stuff.

i started as hard mode and the early are uniques were raping me. Will try switching back once I have more mechanics "unlocked" I guess. classic case of normal mode being baby mode and hard mode being stupidly pumped numbers.
I guess in hindsight the fun parts of these games are the post-game superbosses 200 hours in though

      Anonymous

I recommend only playing with hard mode once you hit chapter 3
1-2 are fricking terrible with it because you don't have the tools responsible for giving you 90% of your damage

      Anonymous

The bosses and uniques on hard in the first chapters are rng unless you grind for hours.
When you get all the gimmicks by chapter 3 it becomes baby mode.

So am i getting this right, the only way to fill up your talent art quickly as an attacker is to use attacks with side or back requirements? Also what is power charge?

      Anonymous

Yes, power charge boosts the attack of the next art. Go to the buffs page in the tips section to see what all the buffs do

got filtered by the fight against mio, sena and taion so i turned it down a notch

        Anonymous

Just got out of that fight just now on hard. Hard really requires you to do proper prep and actually use tactics

Hard mode is good, you say? Does it remove all of the voice acting, cutscenes, dialogue, and useless filler sidequests? Does it cut down on all the unnecessary cinematic gameplay that makes the game a chore to go through? That would be grand.

I started playing this today and I don't think I've seen such a brain-dead, skill free pastiche of a game.

The tendie memes really are true, Nintendo fans are happy with a glorified speak and spell.

I'll stick to playing actual games like Dorf Fort

    How is the english VO?

translation schizos need not reply and if you say "troony" I will ignore you.

Just looking for a general consensus on how it is as I end up playing a lot of these games in english so my GF can enjoy watching them.

As someone who thought XBC2's english VO was a solid 6/10, is 3's better or worse?

          Anonymous

eh around the same, maybe a little better
it's good enough for me that I just left the dub on when often I'll opt for jp audio

      Anonymous

It’s better than 1’s dub; which is to say it’s probably the best dub out of the three main games.
      Nothing utterly embaressing yet.

      Anonymous

Amazing voices for both Mio and Noah, mediocre to great voices for the rest, the worst is probably Sena but she is still good enough
Overall around 1's dub, yeah. Mio could singlehandedly carry it since it's the same VA as Ranni from Elden Ring

        >it's the same VA as Ranni from Elden Ring
Is that so? Good for her, she does good work.

Why there is no xenoblade discussion threads? Only some emulation thread. I don't want to discuss emulation problems, I want to ask questions about the game for example can I check how much reputation points I have with certain organizations? I'm at the beginning area right now (colony?)

      Anonymous

Probably because most people don't have the game yet. I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered.

Truth is the story is really not that good. Everyone has seen the 'war-is-hell' and 'time loop' far too many times before. The cast is not all that likable. It feels too serious. The coomers don't have any excuse to spam artwork (which I admit doesn't exist yet because of Japanese leak autism).

        >war is hell

when will Japan come up with a different plot hook?

the game is barely out most people playing it are people that pirated it and emulated, people are discussing the game itself in there too

Really? Where? Because I can't see a fricking difference when fighting a boss and random rabbit aside from bloated HP.

does xenoblade 3 have open world or is it like xenoblade 1 in that there are only specific areas to go to

open world areas like the witcher 3 or super mario odyssey for example

Is there anything worse than being dragged through menus with slow ass textboxes forcing you to do every menial thing in the menu? Frick it feels worse than those shitty mobile game tutorials.
    >being dragged through the "equip an accessory" tutorial TWICE for no real good reason
Holy frick mate I've played a JRPG before this shit isn't that hard to figure out. Do these game devs need a tutorial on how to wipe their ass as well?

In XB2 they added in deleveling NPC in an update. Maybe they'll do the same here since the game was initially supposed to hit shelves in September

I love when Nintendo exclusives release, because they ALWAYS cause teeth gashing, cloth tearing, sob inducing meltdowns. Sometimes it's even before release like SMTV and Dread did with that mind broke gay posting fake review scores months before they actually were out.

Anyone else just not bothering with accessories every time you change class? Im really thankful they added an auto build option, most of the time its pretty good as far as gems go, but i just dont feel like checking accessories at all
