Wow this shit sucks
>characters wont shut the frick up during a stage
>the method of aiming
>sprint and dodge being on the same input
>melee and shoot being on the same input
>dark pit

I won't go as far as to say it sucks, but I really don't understand how people say it's amazing.
But also
>rail shooter
Shit sucks.
3DS was desperate for games at launch and this was one of the first "high quality" games on the system, plus it was made by sakurai aka the smash bros guy.
The game isn't bad but its severely overrated and i hate how obnoxious the characters are.
>jokes are either haha nintendo reference or lol pit sucks haha
>and they never shut up either
Gameplay is fun, so many different weapon types to choose from, and the best part you can adjust the difficulty whenever you want. Graphics wise, it was one of the best looking 3DS game. Music was memorable. Controls, while they felt accurate, were still pretty bad and gave you hand cramps, I give you that.
Story wise, it felt like a Saturday morning cartoon, which can be annoying but also charming
Personally I find it to be underrated.
>characters wont shut the frick up during a stage
Imagine not playing at a difficulty (8.8 and above) where you automatically tune out the dialogue to focus on the actual game. Couldn't be me. I have the firm belief Kid Icarus Uprising is literally not designed to be played below 8.0 intensity.
>the method of aiming
How was it an issue? It was actually very responsive, I had no issue in the air or on land. Better than using a moronic stick like in nu-FPS console games, especially given by how fast-paced the game was. It's not as precise as a mouse + keyboard or even a wiimote/gyro, but it's still better than stick aiming.
What, you need auto-aim?
>sprint and dodge being on the same input
It's actually easy to flick the stick on a 3ds compared to an actual controller
>melee and shoot being on the same input
Only good complaint, but even then it's somewhat easily mitigated if you manage your spacing properly. Some weapons also heavily benefit from melee attacks.
>rail shooter
>bad

Extremely based
wrong pic
also based
Skill issue
>he doesn't like on-rails shooters
Enjoy not enjoying Star Fox, Panzer Dragoon, Rez, Child of Eden, and Sin & Punishment, you fricking prat.
Never played it but the high level gameplay webms make it seem pretty cool
everything sakurai has made since melee has been trash
Massive skill issue.
Consider having a more fun personality
All skill issues and the characters are cute, OP is gay and a moron
This game is only liked by coomers. Only they could do the claw grip needed to play this game.
I can't think about this game until I stop being salty I never tried the online before it was shut down
>I can't think about this game until I stop being salty I never tried the online before it was shut down
bruh, we have hacked servers now. join us

if this game had CPP controls 90% of the issues would be resolved in a hearbeat, but the akward controller scheme is just shit.
IS a good game with terrible controls, anyone saying otherwise is just being contrarian.
It’s a great game. Beat it on maxed difficulty. Not sure on the controls. I mastered them but I can’t tell it would really be better with a slow joystick instead of the very fast stylus
The ultimate failure of the controls was moving the camera and turning around quickly because you were forced to stop aiming iirc.
I think a dual stick would be slower and you’d lose something to fix something else.
Missed opportunity for a port imo on switch.
If it was going to be ported it's only chance would be on the Wii U, but that console was too based for the moron masses.
splatoon gyro aiming would be a perfect replacement for the game, don't know what you're on about
The ONLY chapter I never beat on 9.0 difficulty was the one inside Hades. I could never get a handle on that Bombeman-ass Heart boss
I liked it, but I wish the heart offering thing actually did something.
I kind of liked that it does nothing. IIRC the story behind it is that the developers liked Palutena so much they just wanted a feature where they could express that.
skill issue
KIU was developed before the 3DS XL. It was meant for the smaller original 3DS. Most people didn't buy a 3DS until the XL came out. I played the game on a XL and thought I was getting carpel tunnel by stage 12. The lighter smaller 3DS makes things was more comfortable to play the game.
Any sort of modern remake would improve the game ten fold, but Sakurai is a purist and I wouldn't be surprised if the game's source code went down the toilet.
Frick you the dialogue is one of the best parts of the game.
Completely unobtrusive to the gameplay while communicating a solid narrative. Every line out of Hades is fricking gold.
I don't know who Sakurai hired to do casting for the voice performances, but somehow Nintendo has never done a dub better than this all these years later.
There's not a bad performance in the game. And the Tim Curry-ness of Hades made him fantastic. He could just speak and it was entertaining
I just hate anime. Pit being able to talk instantly drops the game down to a 5/10. Sorry, I just don't like visual novels.
there's like 5 seconds of cutscenes in the whole game. it's one of the least VN games ever made
>there's only 5 seconds of talking
>had to change the quote
it literally asks if you want dialogue on/off. turn it off
That doesn't magically make the anime trash any better.
This the Paultena dump thread?
White skin on Palu makes it look like she isn't wearing a dress under her tunic.
>White skin on Palu makes it look like she isn't wearing a dress under her tunic.
yes, thats why that image is lewd
And I guess Pit eating her out
in the true meaning

I just love /ss/ games
Game would've been better on the Wii like it was supposed to be. It desperately needs a 180 turn and they ran out of 3DS buttons to make one.
