Dunno but I know that succubi are actually just frankenstein abominations created from the souls of tormented sinners and their personalities are nothing more than chatbots trained to mimic those souls in a deceptive bid to spread the force of the chaotic evil alignment like a cancerous plague.
Angel, Aeon, and Demon
Lich isn't terrible but it feels kinda incomplete and not as satisfying as UNLEASH THE DEMON's straightforward power fantasy
I'm a major law shill but demon and lich don't realy feel all that chaotic vs lawful to me
Knowing their succubi waifu has taken thousands of behemoth balor wieners, the only cope they have left is dicking her as a gold dragon, the only beast with a wiener that might somewhat satisfy her anymore. Desna worshippers all deserve the pike
I don't like WotR's handling of LE/NE/CE. Just like fallen Aeons aren't Lawful Good (there's nothing wrong with being Good while handing down True Aeon judgements, fallen Aeon is NG), their portrayal of Devils aren't LE, they're NE (they call it 'twisting the rules' but you're flat out breaking the rules a lot of the times in devil choices (adding fines that don't exist, making up stuff, it's just not lawful)
Then again, I'm one of those unpopular folks who thinks LE and CG are mostly non-existant alignments (everyone people think of as LE is actually either LN or NE, and everyone people think of as CG are usually NG, sometimes CN)
>t. doesn't understand lawful
Making an unjust law is perfectly lawful if you applies it to everyone.
Contracts are literally just making up laws between two specific people or groups.

Did you play Devil? Half the time Mephistopholes is encouraging you to MAKE THINGS UP, adding things to the contract that didn't exist, or you're exacting fines that you don't have the legal authority to exact. This is unlawful behavior. Regardless of whether you think LE should be a thing in the first place, WotR's LE was very bad, as if it MUST be a thing, the fines and such should actually exist in fine print in the contract, etc.
For example, the parts where you let devils make contracts with your citizens for their souls is not unlawful. But the many parts where someone goes ('hey boss heh heh let's just pretend the law says something different') is not lawful, it's just NE.
In fact, even the parts where you slip something into the contract beforehand so it's technically 'legal' are not done out of any respect for the law, which is why LE is a dumb alignment in the first place.
In general the corner alignments are often troublesome in general because people should be devoted to BOTH ideals in them. LG and CE are both thinkable, but would be very rare (NG and NE would be way, way more common). CG and LE are realistically nonexistant IRL and I resent the effort to make them a thing.
>conflates lawfulness with goodness
You aren't an unpopular folk, you are just moronic.
Lawful Neutral is fine. It's not 'Good', but it's a thing, a way of being that many people IRL have. Unlike meme alignments like LE and CG. You already don't have to obey unjust laws as LG and you don't have to give a frick about the law at all as NG!

Do you think they have a deep respect for the law, or do you think they're more into the 'evil' part? Would a neutral evil person bail on a contract fraud evil scheme thing because 'ewww contracts, too much law'? No. Would a 'Lawful Evil' person obey a lawful warrant for their arrest if they had the means to escape it? Doubtful. The corner alignments are already extremely rare (I don't deny LG and CE exist, but NG and NE are a hundred times more common), LE and CG are so vanishingly rare (probably less than 0.001% of the IRL population) that the worldbuilders have to make suspension of disbelief breaking cosmology to justify their existence.

Good thing it's fantasy and not real life. I don't see dragons flying around yet I don't complain about their existence in a fantasy setting in which they are meant to exist.

Slavery and tyranny is lawful evil by Gygax' word of god. The authority of law can be used by someone exclusively to justify things that he, personally, considered immoral and therefore evil. There's nothing you can do about it except have a fit.
Lol there are only three alignments
Chaotic Evil - Not enforcing any political ideology
Lawful Evil - Enforcing a political ideology that isn't mine
Lawful Good - Enforcing my political ideology
Why would I have an ideology and not enforce it on the material world to make it ideal? And why would my ideology not be Good? I'm not moronic, I'm not going to have a Bad ideology, because that's Bad. Duh.
Lich was very fun gameplay and being an outsider shitting on the whole conflict, but it was also so disconnected from the conflict you felt like a tourist and some questlines felt downright broken lategame.
Just because it's recalibrated to work on different parameters doesn't mean it's not a golem made out of evil and souls, it's not a person and will never be one.
Angel is by far the best "good" path. Very satisfying unique bits, a true power fantasy, probably the best conclusions to some of the quests and absolutely ridiculous unique battle where you go FF14 Warrior of Light on one of the Demon Lords early.
True, but you have to be sure to pick the 'angry' sounding choices to get the awesome avenging angel path and not get locked into the uwu self-sacrifice path. Hard for people who think anything that isn't being a doormat is the non-Good choice to grasp
Yeah my first play through i was planning to go Azata>GD but ended up dropping it a bit into the play through and the quest difference between Angel and Azata is immense, Angel you help The Hand with a secret group working to close the worldwound before the Echo shows up while Azata is planning pie throwing contests.
Azata still has some extremely cool moments like when the island takes off and starts flying. Or doomguy halflings. Or when you jizz your song of freedom over the fleshmarket so hard it stops existing. It's mostly the side content that is kinda dumb.
Playing an Azata Sword Saint made this moment even more JRPG-esque.
This is what it is when Azata is at his best. A jrpg protagonist. Unfortunately it's not always like this.

Indestructible should have started playing.
I know they have some anime as frick moments but the path is bogged down with too much lolsorandumb moments, but i mostly restated because i heard GD which was my real end goal was not worth it.
Enhanced Edition, like they did with kingmaker it is a free patch that will add "more ending slides and late game mythic content" but we don't know the extent yet.
It is out sept 29th.

I was aiming to become a dragon but didn't want to disappoint fictional character so stayed Azata
I'd say an extra reason to do Azata is if you romance Arue since she gets some wonderful unique dialogues with it where she gets accepted by desnaites and is very happy about it, or when Aivu innocently cheers her up.
Felt almost like something out of Xenoblade 2 there, like those conversations between Poppi and Mythra.
Nah, that would mean chaotics and barbarians don't do that.
Lawful just means orderly and uniformity, wether it's tyrannical or egalitarian it's about structure. Chaotics are about disorder, freedom and dissent.
You can trust a devil to fulfill a deal you made, just don't expect it to go in your favor if you worded the contract poorly and open to interpretation.
Ganker I need help.
When I started the game I'm pretty sure bardic performances and rage would last an entire combat per charge. But after I put them on the action bar, for some reason they now spend one charge per round? Is this working as intended?
I'm certain that wasn't the case before because I used to pop inspire competence for minute-long durations on single use. I tried removing them from the action bar but it hasn't reverted and I want it to go back to the way it was.
I liked pathfinder kingmaker but Holy shit why was the levelling up, skill and spell selection of characters so complicated and never understood the dice throws. I am a brainlet but still the game could be streamlined, I have spent most time of my gameplay on carefully minmaxing my character so that he wouldn't outright die on the first hit on hard difficulty. Is this still the same in WoTR?
It's really dumb. The whole system feels like it was made by a powergaming munchkin who didn't want to take the final step to just making a tabletop wargame.
And that's probably because a tabletop wargame would need to cut out 99% of the crap rules pathfinder has in order to make it actually playable on tabletop.
Rules and capabilities need to be simple and easy to understand so people can both pick them up quickly and breeze through combat within 1-2 hours.
Also the kingdom management was poor and unengaging. I haven't played WoTR but I bet the strategy segments where you control armies are also similarly boring.
At what point do arcane casters start to feel less weak? Playing a sorc and yeah you get access to great cc spells like grease but offensively I feel useless.
Dunno but I know that succubi are actually just frankenstein abominations created from the souls of tormented sinners and their personalities are nothing more than chatbots trained to mimic those souls in a deceptive bid to spread the force of the chaotic evil alignment like a cancerous plague.
You be quiet, good ones can exist, and they are built for BGDC.

Lich is mostly neutral evil.
You just gain power , with no particularly strong feelings about anything else
It's ok, her virginity was magically restored through divine intervention
Lich was very fun gameplay and being an outsider shitting on the whole conflict, but it was also so disconnected from the conflict you felt like a tourist and some questlines felt downright broken lategame.
Is what why puritygays cry so much about a succubus not being a virgin? Insecurty because they can't imagine themselves being better than a balor?
You already posted this, and already got BTFO by both game and setting lore.
Desna reprogrammed her
Just because it's recalibrated to work on different parameters doesn't mean it's not a golem made out of evil and souls, it's not a person and will never be one.
Yeah you're right she's a fictional character
Yeah you're right she's a woman
LG, LN, NE
>touch of glory has been fixed
Guess I have to play Aeon now.
Should I buy this game? Can I abuse my companions?
Dunno, I always pirate. But I had fun.
And yes.
If you are gay you can make the Black person cleric into a battered housewife
You can mindbreak Ember leaving her a husk of a person that can barely be considered alive.
Angel is by far the best "good" path. Very satisfying unique bits, a true power fantasy, probably the best conclusions to some of the quests and absolutely ridiculous unique battle where you go FF14 Warrior of Light on one of the Demon Lords early.

You're never locked into the mercy stuff. Unless something changed in later patches.
It's mostly how people talk about you, but yeah, I do not think you are ever locked to specific actions
Yeah my first play through i was planning to go Azata>GD but ended up dropping it a bit into the play through and the quest difference between Angel and Azata is immense, Angel you help The Hand with a secret group working to close the worldwound before the Echo shows up while Azata is planning pie throwing contests.

I kill everyone in the fleshmarkets regardless, but doing it with extra chaos for once was fun
Playing an Azata Sword Saint made this moment even more JRPG-esque.
This is what it is when Azata is at his best. A jrpg protagonist. Unfortunately it's not always like this.
Because catchy tunes can change the universe. See Macross
>tfw [sing the song of Elysium]
Why does this BTFO of everyone so hard?

Indestructible should have started playing.

What the frick is EE? Everyone keeps saying EE is something to look forward to and I have no clue what it is.

>Heal Targona and smite Mutasafen
Will this game appeal to me it I have a corruption fetish?
Not THAT much, but it has it's moments. Not worth it playing 100 hours for it though.
How's the first DLC?
Fricking pathetic to the point it would haven been better to not even make them and put all that effort into the main game.
Goldchads will get a spellbook and more content and will win in the EE.
>one shots gods
>dies of old age like a chad btfo-ing every entity after his pure mortal power
Legend chads cant stop winning
>Becomes b***h of Demiurge israelite c**t and gets yeeted into the abyss
>dies of old age
can kill any god, cant be influenced by Areshkagal
am I missing something?
Dying of old age.
yeah thats the whole point of it
plus mortals have like a million ways to become immortal if thats your headcanon
Anon, you have 40 levels. Dedicate 20 of them to magic or alchemy and you will never age again.
I hope they make devil good goddamnit.
I know that devil and GD are cucked out of content, but does legend hold up at least?
Kinda, yes. But loses some impact if you have not gone through another mythic path or two
why is there a daily thread about this shit game?
Should've been a Smash thread in it's stead.
if something has daily threads it should be taken to /vg/ 🙂
Lawful means following a personal code and having defined morals, not literally following the law.
Nah, that would mean chaotics and barbarians don't do that.
Lawful just means orderly and uniformity, wether it's tyrannical or egalitarian it's about structure. Chaotics are about disorder, freedom and dissent.
Law
Lawful entities value honor, trustworthiness, obedience, and dependability, but can be close-minded, self-righteous, and inflexible.
Chaos
Chaotic entities value freedom and flexibility, but can be impulsive, resentful toward authority, and irresponsible.
You can trust a devil to scam you.
You can trust a devil to fulfill a deal you made, just don't expect it to go in your favor if you worded the contract poorly and open to interpretation.

>Lann not wendaug

So what exactly are they gonna add in Enhanced Edition? Visual overhaul or more flavour for mythic paths?
is the game good yet? is it done? patched to completion?
Amiri is having brain problems again
I liked pathfinder kingmaker but Holy shit why was the levelling up, skill and spell selection of characters so complicated and never understood the dice throws. When you get chain lighting you can start dealing damge.
I know my PC isn't top of the line but why does this game run like shit? Especially in the fricking Abyss.
Unity
Any chance Enhanced Edition will help or will I always speedrun Act 4?
Maybe it will, but don't count on it, especially since the further you get into the game the worse it gets and act 4 is pretty late
