Here bro, have at it: The traversal, thanks to their season/time gimmick is absolutely tedious. The dungeon designs with rooms that are just 5-6 key checks are abysmal, forcing you to repeat ad nauseam several rooms and puzzles just to go back. I beat Ages, it was by far the worst Zelda game in the entire series, yes, I've played every other zelda except ALBW. Seasons was certainly better, but the gimmicky traversal and dungeon tediousness were still there. The characters and overworld were much more interesting though, subrosia was neat, but I dropped it all the same.
Another complaint, albeit minor is that at this point old gameboy games haven't aged well in terms of having been limited by only having two actions buttons, but that's not a big deal.
You like these games? You should have a nice day, they're abysmal in design, and as neat as secrets are, they only exacerbate the tediousness of the games.

Art style aside the game looks like it could be good. It seems to be going for a world similar to the other 2D Zeldas although a little more open kind of like ALBW, but now instead of renting the item to move forward you'll be looking for various objects to use and create your own path. It comes down to if Zelda is going to get more items or if it will just be the staff the entire time. If that's the case the game could get repetitive very quickly.
The issue is going to revolve around how much stacking is prevalent to the game. There's obviously going to be an item limit but how much can I just break the game by stacking a few beds and trampolines? What is puzzle design even going to look like? Daisy chaining items like in BotW to hold down switches or pass electricity? They already showed you can stand and walk across trees.
The concept is interesting but I don't know how well it can stand on its own, and I'm sick of Aonuma trying to throw away the traditional Zelda formula because of him going full moron in a couple games and BotW doing a new formula well once.
I'm pretty sure in his mind "Traditional Zelda" is equivalent to SS which was vehemently disliked and he doesn't understand people dislike the severe linearity and handholding that only truly started existing around TP and SS, arguably WW. It's like he can't understand there's a big gap between how something like ALttP, Oracles, MC, OoT, or MM handles to how WW, TP, and SS were executed. Like, I don't think he can see a difference between Fi and Navi, or a LttP dungeon and something like the Lanayru Mining Facility.
People want original games in the traditional format, not this weird mishmash of BotW's "Make your own solution" designs and the exploration of the 2D games because it feels directionless. I guarantee you no one would really have this issue if we didn't have this stacking mechanic and Zelda got sub weapons/items/spells rather than collect Pokemon.

To a degree, but things the like Stone Temple and the Great Bay Temple still let you go to optional rooms and solve puzzles there, or find routes to areas that aren't the exact path. Even Snowhead does. They're also built around certain sub items, primarily what you would reasonably have at the time and the new item from the dungeon, and once you get out of the dungeon you will fairly regularly be using the item you got from it again.
Compare that to TP or SS dungeons where there's only one way forward, you can't really deviate (I guess Snowpeak Mansion is the exception), you primarily only use the one dungeon item to solve everything in the area, and the dungeon items are almost never used outside of the map in any reasonable or realistic way. Just look at the top in TP, as soon as you get that thing it serves no purpose and the two or so areas that use it to unlock something are so out of place it's ridiculous.
Not to mention that the side content is like ~70% of the game's actual content, so it doesn't feel super linear.
It's funny that people scream "WOKE" and "GIRL BOSS" at this because it's actually incredibly sexist. Zelda is too weak to fight for herself so she has to summon monsters to protect her lol

Zelda has also been playable in Smash bros since Melee. She has featured prominently in every LoZ game and in some of them is an active participant in the story and action, like in OOT or Spirit Tracks.
