Because Rex and Shulk are going to hop into a time travel dimension fog gate and the 3 protags will meet up to defeat some ultimate evil in the expansion. My guess is that they'll all control uniquely and it'll be a classic team of 3, where Shulk has his full action bar, Rex has Pyra/Mythra, Nia, and one of the story blades, and Mio acts as a non controllable party member that Noah can fuse with.
The end of the dlc will lead into a new trilogy where we can leave these characters along and hop much further into the future where their actions are a fairy tale at most

My hope is we are going to get a Future connected/Torna style DLC game where Shulk, Rex and Pyra and Noah all meet in a sort of final conclusion to the series. Have all the protags meet and share stories. Play off the idea Rex and Shulk know each other and have Noah be the straight man.
My real hope is we can somehow get the Trinity together. Even if it's just Alvis and Pneuma to discuss the state of the world together. Even have a Brother/sister bond with one another.

The DLC story is gonna be an adventure with all the main couples on a team. Shulk and Fiora will Ouroboros, so will Rex and Pyra. Calling it now, see you in 2024. The 7th member slot will be filled by a variety of main party members from 1, 2 and 3.

Xenoblade 2's expansion pass used the Torna symbol and ended up being about Torna. Xenoblade 3 expansion pass uses the three special swords and one is Monado REX instead of the normal Monado. It's almost like it'll be a crossover between the three protags or something.

The Saviorites want the Conduit to return and know that it appeared before mankind when they were at their lowest because of endless war. The savoirites believe that the Conduit IS War. Everything that it gave humanity was for the express purpose of war and humanity continues to use Ether for war, even with it gone. Yet even with the Contact being established, the Conduit refuses to appear before them again. They theorize that it is because the Anti-type keeps dying before it can truly awaken.

Pardon the strange comparison, but it's like how Final Fantasy XIV uses the names Hades and The Endsinger for the final bosses of Shadowbringers and Endwalker respectively, because those names don't mean anything. They don't tell you anything about who those characters actually are, or reveal any plot details whatsoever. It's a simple and smart way of allowing people to refer to them without causing spoilers.
Saying "Fiora is a party member" is a spoiler. Saying "Pneuma is a blade who joins you" tells you nothing. Hopefully XB3 will do something similar for any spoiler characters.

So if in XC2 a Monado is just a sword manifested from one of the three magic computers, why are there 3 in XC2 when only Alvis is there? He says some shit like everyone is a Monado but that doesn’t really seem to make sense with XC2.
XC1 is consistent with itself because it's all within a separate universe from XC2
XC2's blades are splinters of a monado. Imagine there's a tiny piece of Monado inside each blades crystal, and the one inside Mytha is significantly bigger.
The only “real” Monados are Alvis, Pyra/Mythra, and Malos. The other ones in XC1 are imitations of Alvis’ and not actual Monados - hence why the Monado 3 is referred to as the True Monado
This is also consistent with Mythra's dialogue with Shulk since they basically acknowledge each other having a monado

I've been trying to play Xenoblade X for the first time having been a huge fan of 1 and 2 and laying them upon release (skipped Wii U) so I'm emulating it but....
Its so fricking slow. Goddamn. The world is awesome, the aesthetic, designs, music - but this is honestly this is a struggle. Leveling up and getting money takes too long. The side quests seem worse than 1 or 2, and the affinity quests are all fricking lame too. I'm on Chapter 5 and its not keeping my interest. Give me a fricking Skell already!

Really fantastic gameplay and setting, really good ideas, horrible shame they had to divert resources away from the story and presentation. I feel awful for Tanaka every day because the design work he did for X is fricking incredible, but the realistic shader makes his designs look like potato people. You can see how much better Elma looks in 2 and it's the exact same model with a different shader.
Side quests in X are actually done way better than 1 and 2.
People criticize jrpg sidequests for merely being "kill x" or "deliver n items" with no weight in them and X has that but sidequests have actual consequences for the rest of the game, which infuriated me since a choice I made in a wuest early on leads for a character to be killed later and then I couldn't do his quest obviously
Anon aren't there like 400 monotonous side quests in this game??? Haven't gotten any like that yet. Its been collect 5 of x item (more annoying than in 1 or 2 because of the scope/scale and no quest markers), kill "strong monster", use x weapon to kill y amount of z monster.
And I don't feel any connection to the characters or their stories so the affinity quests have been a slog too.
I loved how a lot of those fetch quests are "We need a seemingly impossible new material to build a protoype whatever. But we are on alien planet, so just go find it somewhere in the wild."
X's side quests are the best in the series

If by clock you mean tattoo, Sena's in on her shoulder (left I believe) and Taion's is on his left palm. The actual "clock" is on their eye. The Keves soldiers have an Iris in their right eye, and Agnus soldiers have an Iris in their left eye. The Iris is the device that lets them see a HUD and summon their weapons.
