Comfy XC3 thread!
>In an email sent to customers in Japan, Nintendo shared a message from Monolith Soft’s Tetsuya Takahashi:
>Greetings to everyone who purchased Xenoblade Chronicles 3. This is Takahashi from Monolith Soft.
>Thanks to your support, we’ve released the third Xenoblade title, twelve years after the original Xenoblade was released for the Wii in 2010. Xenoblade 3 has been called the culmination of the whole series up until now, and it truly is the culmination. We at Monolith have put everything we have cultivated over the past twelve years into it.
>It is also a stopping point to me. This title depicts the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Klaus’s experiment.
>While it is a conclusion, that does not mean it is the end of the Xenoblade series. It is just a stopping point in my mind. I think that everyone who played this title and the additional stories in the Expansion Pass can imagine what lies in the future for Xenoblade.
>I have one recommendation for how to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Some things are marked by a ? on the game map. Even if you are in the middle of progressing the main story after finding the ? marks, try taking a detour. There are many encounters waiting there.
>Thank you for your continued support of Xenoblade Chronicles 3!

X bros... We're coming home. No more cringe anime bullshit, it's time for slightly less cringe anime bullshit but with mechs!
>crying about anime
>On a site where anime and manga take precedent over all other shared hobbies
Cringe, possibly homosexual even
Best japs series (souls, Silent Hills, Resident Evils, MGSs, etc) have nothing to do with anime, you stinky homosexual.
MGS is pretty fricking anime. Just on the Cowboy Bebop and Psycho Pass side of things. Anime's pretty varied actually. Do you think all anime is just Lucky Star?
>Anime's pretty varied actually
*used to be
That anon literally opened the post mentioning souls which is just a berserk ripoff, aka baby's first edgy animanga
It's beyond pathetic at this point
>MGS has nothing to do with anime
Nobody tell him
>Doesn't pick up on obvious satire
When did you realise you have asbergers
Do you realize we’re on a a site for autistic wizards?
Nice meme kiddo
That's wizchan.
Which is probably a better place than this because they have rules against posting pepe & wojak.

XC2 did it better
troonysisters, we finally have representation in gaming!
This game is going to be great.
I'm 25 hours in
>Tutorials a obnoxious
>World is boring to explore
>Battle system and class system aren't fun
>Character interaction is great but aren't used well in the side quests
>Story is moving at a glacial pace
>OST is blandest in the series so far
>we've only got 3 months!
>better help absolutely everyone and their dogs with their problems
I hate this trope, it's commonplace enough I can get past it but it really fricks up my investment in any sense of urgency.
>Guys Mio is FRICKING DYING
>We have a matter of WEEEKS to get to the Sword!
>Yeah sure I'll help you fix your robutt little boy :3
We have only taken 3 breaks in the last hour and Banana is hungry again so it's time to stop
>Guys look it's a rest spot
>Umm we've only walked 400 metres since last break...
>Let's go to sleep
>But Mio is going to die soon...
>GO THE FRICK TO SLEEP
im 35 in, and i feel like the complete opposite:
>tutorials are very welcome and very short
>world is amazing to explore, found a lot of side activities just by wandering off
>battle system and especially the class system makes every battle a fun experience and it motivates me to try different classes and roles
>agreed
>agreed, but i consider it a good thing
>oh, well its' still amazing
>It is also a stopping point to me. This title depicts the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Klaus’s experiment.
Wow, what a wet fart to go out on. Guess we'll never find out what the frick happened to Alvis
>This title depicts the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Klaus’s experiment.
Just finished the game. How? This feels more like a side story. It honestly felt pretty pointless overall.
This is what happens when you have a scenario writer who has been told to link together the world's and games of world's that were never intended to be in the same universe. It's messy. Imagine if in the last 30 minutes of FFVIII and FFIX they revealed that Sephiroth and Shirna were responsible for the entire events
You just spoiled the ending of part 3 of the remake
I mean its just such an odd way to do it too regardless. Who the hell thinks vampires were a good way to do things? Nia and Melia not actually being evil pretty much means their roles could have been filled by just brand new characters. Should have just based this on a different planet and connected it to X tbqh. At least then they could have maybe thrown in some shit about the planet and why its special.
>and connected it to X
I think it's fairly obvious from the geography of Aionios that when the worlds do merge properly next time, they'll form Mira.
The entire game could have just had name swapped characters and a different title and, other than the reused assets, you’d never know it was even a Xenoblade game.
The story began with Klaus separating the worlds
It ends with Noah and Mio finding each other together after an Origin reboot. Which has obvious ramifications for the worlds as a whole.
Wait for the DLC, bro
>I think that everyone who played this title and the additional stories in the Expansion Pass can imagine what lies in the future for Xenoblade.
I take it this implies DLC story is going to be an epilogue story like FC rather than backstory like Torna right?
Good forbid they follow the positive formula of Torna
I hope so, would be a shame to have a prequel when the whole point of the game is to move foward.
The combination attack thing makes this game too easy, free heals free damage and the exp gain is ridiculous. Not that im complaining though. Also where do i get good accessories?
>dlc story is the proper fusion
>The planet is called Earth
>End of the story is a lot of space ships showing up
>Jesus Christ that's a lot of space ships
>And now a weird crystal alien lady is here
What's a bunch of space ships can do to a civilization that can now create something as insane as Origin?
Blow up the planet
>retcons the destruction of a planet
>cuts your space ships on a tachyon speed
Now what space boy
>Jesus Christ
I also think he will be there, here's hoping his wife will be too.
It would be a good call back but there's no way the XB games and X will be linkee
You'll eat your words once Xenoblade 9 comes out
>DLC shows the fusion of the two earths
>Shulk, Rex and Noah inexplicably help to grow the technology that would eventually become interstellar travel technology
>Fast forward 2,000 years
>Elma turns up and gives them the technology for the Lifehold and tells them they have a few years before the Ghost invasion
This would be kino, but let's face it they've forgotten X exists.
>This would be kino, but let's face it they've forgotten X exists.
Not really. There are small references to XCX in the game.
I still hope they work now on XCX sequel for a switch successor, and not on XB4.
>There are small references to XCX in the game.
Where? I thought they were building to a great twist about the Lifehold core but then it turned in to more 1/2 jacking off
Like I said, they are minor ones.
Full Metal Jaguar class. Vegetables stolen by Tirkins looks exactly like the ones in which Tatsu was found in XCX.
N's and M's outfits looks like Elma's.
>Vegetables stolen by Tirkins looks exactly like the ones in which Tatsu was found in XCX.
you're missing that when manana and riku are looking for clothes near vandham's deathsite, they dig throw a box full of the tatsu-esque vegetables which itself is referencing tatsu being found in a box of those vegetables
>>It is also a stopping point to me. This title depicts the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Klaus’s experiment.
So what happened to Earth then?
It became Alrest
Two parts of Earth are now walking together, obviously. Will they fuse completely or just become interlinked is a question but since Noah managed to frick off to Mio in the ending, the worlds ARE connected.
the cutscenes stutter really bad for me on yuzu 🙁
>confronted by X in Origin
>immediately transforms and starts fighting
>beat her with a chain attack
>assume the game is taking a second to load the ensuing cutscene
>there is no cutscene, she just fricking dies
>the party barely even comments on it afterwards
Is this a bug? Going out out with no fanfare whatsoever is kind of weird.
Probably some last minute reworked scenes. For instance if they had Nia show up at the X fight in a scene that'd need to be cut since she got shuffled to Z's fight. The end set pieces felt a bit rushed/reworked in general.
The whole game feels a little rushed, like they were expecting to have half the staff from BotW2 back in time to really polish it.
Fun fact - in 2014 after X was finished, a skeleton crew was left behind to bug fix and implement DLC as well as changes for the western release. A shitload of X's staff went to work on BotW, then immediately moved over to BotW2, and haven't returned to XB2 or XB3.
Could be rushed, but at the same time they hate x. I would have been if the scene had been nothing more than them walking away and Noahor Lanz spitting on her corpse. Would have been a good move
happens all the time with those fights, like the big guy when you recruit master, and the moron that use a robot then die in an explosion, it practically looks like a game glitch, the characters don't even have non-voice last sentences, you just go back to the game, loot and get a quest symbol telling you to go to another place.
Same with Z encounter in the theatre. You just start the final battle with no reason, kek.
The crossover dlc heroes are going to be Riki, Tora, and Tatsu.
They didn't want to just do the same thing they did in 2.
But I want them to do the same thing they did in 2 ?
Why the frick does mio care so much about her lifespan? I thought becoming oroboros made her a normal human?
It didn't free them from their lifespan. Only from the flame clock
So is she going to fricking evaporate right after she turns 10? What the frick happens to people who turned 10 but went awol and disnt take part in that ritual thing?
they just turn into motes, we see it happening during the story
Bros wtf is up with these outfit choices?
sometimes you get the entire outfit, sometimes just the pants, sometimes just the shirt and sometimes just the fricking sleeves
Bros wtf
I fricking hate Ghondor
Am I wasting time levelling up every class to lv10 for everyone? I'm starting to run out of A/B-proficiency classes for most of them and my Nopon Coins I've never used only managed to cover the D ones for one character only.
I just want to blast everyone with Full Metal Jaguar but my autism dictates I level everything up so I'm hoping someone can convince my dumbass to not bother
you can unlock and level them up very fast with chain attack overkills, I got more progress with classes farming the same unique monsters a few times for CP than I did playing the entire main story (granted I avoided most non-bosses for the entire game)
>I might actually start believing the truth
so what you're telling me is just I should just use whatever classes I want to actually use as I play through the game instead of being a tard with a party held together by tape just for the sake of levelling them up
thank you
I enjoyed the game a hell of a lot more when I stopped shuffling classes. Unless a class comes along that I like (Full Metal Jaguar is based) then I don't bother changing.
if you need a class leveled just spend some nopon coins on it. you dont need most of the classes, especially not on every char
>Everyone is covered up due to it being some war setting
I swear if KOSMOS is a DLC Hero and she got completely changed where she's now fully covered up like everyone else, I'm gonna start to believe that the game might have actually been censored and not that they wanted to do some military setting.
>even the OST is almost completely different this time to match the tone of the game
does this mean the OST also got censored you absolute moron?
The OST is kinda shit so maybe
Actually, its a tokusatsu setting disguised as a war setting. Which is why ouroboros are color coded and have outfits that look like civvies.
They even made the boss fight twice in their human form and monster form. This is like your typical tokusatsu series with an added suffering for Takahashi's personal entertainment.
My only exposure to tokusatsu was with Gridman and Dynazenon but i've noticed that those made a huge emphasis on interpersonal relationships between the cast members and XB3 is the same in many ways, with a ton of very natural and believable dialogues between the party members and a very natural romance for Noah and Mio.
If that's kind of a toku thing maybe i should watch more.
Ouroboros are like japanese superhero on steroid.
They are a team of young color coded warrior whose leader is coded in red and the most powerful member (super sentai), who transform for a limited of time into giants made of light (ultraman). The transformation works by fusing two character in one, but only one is in the pilot seat (kamen rider w).
Also, you have G Gundam for good measure with Ethel and Cammuravi, and the main couple is a samurai with a all cutting sword whose girlfriend is a ninja catgirl.
Xenoblade 3 truly put the J in JRPG.
you're literally making up things to get mad about
>This title depicts the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Tora’s experiment.
fixed.
XC3 story is fricking irrelevant garbage. Frick off Takahacki
If they DO make X2 they should definitely implement the Ouroboros system in to the Dolls/Skells at least for battles
Nah
The interlink shit is the worst part of the game. It's the reason you can't change your party.
>It's the reason you can't change your party.
Feels like content that got simplified too much. the way you keep talking at the camps makes it look like you could have had social level between your chars to allow mixing up the links, but you don't. Also the transfo themselves seems barebone, for me that part didn't get as much time allocated to it as first intended.
Nah not really the interlink shit because that's truly truly awful, more the cooldown thing
Wat
I guess it's good I got Alex on ch3 kek
Having a lot of fun, I'm a bit over level since I explore every things.
A bit sad if we never get a XBX2. Sci-fi game are too rare.
When I saw Origin I was like "yeah, babe, finally sci-fi portion of the game. Mechs, AI shenanigans, space elevator, maybe even some outerspace sections". Jesus, I was so wrong here, lmao.
I think this news raises the possibility of XBX2. XB3 is the end of the Klaus Saga, but it isn't the end of Xenoblade. XBX felt like a departure from the Klaus Saga, so it would only make sense to follow up from that. Maybe the memes of XBX being the 10th game are actually true to an extent? What XBX really is a distant sequel to the Klaus Saga, and Monolith just wanted to give us a teaser of what to expect moving forward?
in XB earth is destroyed by the experiment and in XBX earth is destroyed by aliens. They are two different things.
1 hour in. The gameplay is just moving beside enemies and doing nothing except occasionally pressing "le super duper attack button".
The story is dragged out boring cutscenes worse than most isekai anime.
What the frick? I swear I loved XC1, why is XC3 so fricking trash? Did I just grow up?
Also the game is on a fricking 20 minute cutscene now that I beat the first tutorial, what the frick, just let me save the game and go to sleep
>1 hour in. The gameplay is just moving beside enemies and doing nothing except occasionally pressing "le super duper attack button".
>I swear I loved XC1
Explain to me how this doesn't also describe XC1
I don't get it either
now fricking end this shitty custcene PLEASE i don't give a shit about this wildlife and these dragonflies and bullshit
>The gameplay is just moving beside enemies and doing nothing except occasionally pressing "le super duper attack button".
You get a lot more options later on especially with job classes. You're just one hour in. Best part is that Ouroboros and Noah's late game mechanic are basically XBX's overclock on steroids.
I am playing 1 right now and i gotta say i would stake all of you so called "1 lovers" to a wall. I presumed that you are just nostalgia gays but after going through the game just reached chapter 13i can say with a 100% straight face you can all take your precious game and stick it up your ass. 2 is a superior game in all regards
does anyone have a link to the boundary theme?
Delicious 15 year old
Fatass
Anyone know where you get the last hero?
you have to complete multiple quests, including the one about the writer in the City and a few in colony 4, to find those invisible mechas that you first fought during the story when crossing maktha for the first time
then you need to go to the snow fields in Aetia
>including the one about the writer in the City
Okay, that explains why it wasn't showing up. Thanks.
Why does this game look substantially worse than the second?
3 looks way better outside of the character designs
More open areas with no reasons for them to be this huge while keeping slow XC1 pacing.
Who the frick even X and that old dude? They both are showing with Z like they were important plot figures (no).
area scale is great, frick you.
Yes, it's great. It also would be fun to explore with XCX character's speed, gravity and Dolls options.
Shadows, hair etc. look substantially better in theory but in practice the demand is too much for Switch. The dynamic resolution tanks hard a lot of the time outside of pre-rendered cutscenes, making everything look like shit.
you say that, but in game I don't see it. It feels like you learned that sentence second hand.Especially since you believe the game as "prerendered" cutscene. You don't know your gaming lingo.
Then you're blind. The difference between major story cutscenes and for example discussions at the camp is like night and day. In the camp segments their face outlines are composed of pixelated lines for me since the resolution goes so low.
XC2 is a fun adventure game, therefore you get beautiful areas like Argentum and Gormott starting out. XC3 is a dreary war story, so everything looks ugly as frick. It makes sense, I swear.
> Xenoblade 3 has been called the culmination of the whole series up until now, and it truly is the culmination. We at Monolith have put everything we have cultivated over the past twelve years into it.
Then why does the game feel like a half assed piece of shit?
>We at Monolith have put everything we have cultivated over the past twelve years into it
Aside from huge fricking portion of QoL frox Xenoblade X, lmao.
X never happened, it doesn't exist. They mentioned it literally once in all of the interviews they've done and it was just to say "we made the follow ball not suck"
>experience reflects that participant
im so glad they got rid of the hentai characters, can finally play this game without shame.
>feeling shame at all
kys normie wannabe
Trying not to read too much of this thread, but so far, I'm enjoying it the most out of the 3 games. The class system is fun to frick about with, and the gameplay seems a little faster than before. Also, those saying the OST is shit have awful taste and should just burst their eardrums
>can't change back to mio's moebius outfit
Shit game.
I feel your pain.
went from having multiple outfits in XC1 and XCX to having none at all in XC2 to half the outfit from heroes in XC3(and most of the don't even look good with the rest of the stuff they are wearing).
i'm only using Mio's off-seer outfit, because it's the only good looking alternate outfit in this game.
Half of the outfits in 1 looked like shit and most of them were recolors of the same armors though.
Why do you think people were happy about transmog being a thing in DE ?
almost all the outfits in xc1 looked stupid as frick though. and if you were optimizing your gear you looked like a mismatched clown
WHAT THE FRICK WERE THEY THINKING!!!!!
It might be a reward for the Challenge Battle DLC, just like how you were unable to use the cute Gormotti hoodie for Pyra again in base Xenoblade 2 until that game's Challenge Battle released.
ok maybe i'm missing something but how do you fast travel to a different region?
Open up the map, not the area map.
lmao i'm 60 hours in and i never once bothered opening the map on the main menu. thanks anon
>email sent to customers
How do they know who purchased the game?
You do have a source for this right?
>want to play XC 3
>filtered by XC1, still at like 45 hours
>thinking about going through XC2 gives me analysis paralysis
I don't know how I can enjoy something but still avoid it. It is kinda long but still.
How'd you get filtered by the first game?
It's just long. There hasn't been anything I couldn't beat but I checked my save just now and it's actually 62 hours, not 45. At this point I took a break and am out of that enjoyment pipeline you get from an overarching story but see the hour count and can't bring myself to start over and get re-immersed. I'll just grind it out and get to the finish line to start XC2.
So, how is Taion?
Is he in the game just to get few extra bonus from western audience, or is he somewhat well-written character?
He's probably the best-written character.
I am only 25 hours in but he is exactly the kind of guy i would punch in the face if he wouldn’t shut the frick up. I am really amazed at Eunies astonishing self control in not killing him.
shut up lanz, that's why even riku shits on you
lanz has the most growth as a character. I thought he would be a boring reyn knock off but hes way better than reyn
>that scene in prison where he tries to cheer Sena up with a pep talk about how he's weak
>followed by their attempted kamikaze attack
crazy how the prison is both one of the worst fillers in the entire series, but at the same time has some of the best scenes takahashi ever wrote
>I am only 25 hours in but he is exactly the kind of guy i would punch in the face if he wouldn’t shut the frick up
t. Lanz
He is the third-best character in the party after Noah and Mio and gets a surprising amount of chemistry with Noah of all people because they are the smartest people in the team.
That cutscene where Noah and Mio do his chores and smile at him like a mom and dad is absolutely adorable.
The tea scene where he manages to calm down panicking Eunie is top tier too. No bullshit, no sarcasm, he just notices that she is in a middle of a panic attack and helps her with no questions asked.
He is the 4th best character.
He's a smart guy character who's actually smart rather than everybody else being moronic to make him look smart in comparison
unironically pic related
He's only black because of St Floyd, but he's fine, when I frst met him he looked like he had something that looked like one of those Yugioh card bracelet things, and all I could think of was black Otaku.
moron
wienersucker.
>floyd invented black characters in JRPGs
>that's an even remotely charitable reading of what i stated
>He's only black because of St Floyd
Please go outside
Noah
>references to Fei with shulk elements mixed in
Lanz
>mechon with references to reyn
Eunie
>high entia with references to sharla
Mio
>blade with references to nia
Sena
>blade with references to brighid
taion
>Black person
He's the least natural addition to the cast and the character you posted earlier is obviously inspired by 80s/90s tropes of black characters more specifically mr T. The devs looked at the US after George Floyd and just assumed that Black folk were what the Americlaps wanted, and that's what you get, a character who isn't written black, but just is because that's how things are, most foreigners think that the US population is 50% black, it's not.
I often wonder wtf is wrong with you Mutts...and then I remember you voted for Biden.
Xenoblade 3 obviously took inspiration from Digital Devil Saga, and Taion is this game's Gale. Aka brain.
The niggy is easily one of the better characters, Noah is boring, Lanz barely ever grows out of his meat headness, Eunie stays a sassy b***h and Sena is pretty damn useless.
He starts off having a stick up his ass, but he eventually mellows down at around chapter 3 when he offers Eunie tea. That's the turning point of his character. He's also smart, and as another Anon put it his intelligence is shown without making the other party members look stupid. His role is comparable to Makoto's in P5, but I would say Taion is handled better for two reasons.
>Even though Taion is the smartest in the party, Noah isn't too far behind and is just as competent when it comes to planning.
>Taion's not a mary sue. His decisions are questioned early on, and they don't always follow through with what he plans. This happens as early as chapter 2 when the party heads to the desert area.
Also, Taion is arguably the "cuck" character of this Xeno game. He's clearly interested in Eunie later on, but she literally friendzones him and says that he's her 4th best friend
>eunie friendzones taion
apparently you have no idea what flirting looks like
Taion doesn't need bird cloaca when he can get another shot at ice crystal pussy
Why not both ?
Taion was extremely hearbroken by the separation and will undoubtedly seek Eunie after the ending if even unconsciously.
And since Mio and Noah found each other, the rest will too.
>the two parties running towards each other in the ending
>as the cliffs separate Taion just falls to his knees
>Noah hearing a sound of a flute that shouldn't have a meaning in this world yet, the one Mio started using after they swapped flutes, and disappearing with a happy smile on his face
The rest will find each other again too.
He is the best written of the party members it is really weird I was NOT expecting him to be this likable at all.
any reason or is it important to switch characters mid fight or is it purely just preference? because I feel like pic related when I switch characters
Getting healers to actually use their jobs. Taking control of tank to aggro specific enemies. Repositionning your attacker.
Basically tard wrangling your characters.
I started with 3 on holiday cause i heard 2 looks really awful in handheld mode. Once im back home should i play 2 on PC? Can you play it properly in highres and stable fps on a good pc?
2 is pretty stable on yuzu, minor stuttering here and there but nothing crazy.
>tanks cant hold aggro
>die
>everyone else fricks off in their oroboros and i have to watch for like 25 seconds
Put target lock on your tanks.
One at bottom of the forest and another in the first region.
Mean sea area not first region.
>literally didn't lose a single fight until M who one shot 5 of my party
>thought it was one of those have to lose fights
>Mio finally gets taken out like 3 minutes later because she can't stop dodging
>asks if I want to restart
why is Sena so dumb
She's an absolute monster once you get the fists, but otherwise she's just wasted space. Even her side story isn't about her.
>x-files theme starts playing
Too bad he is fricking UGLY,
Did they made it on purpose?
he is black what did you expect?
Is she the daughter of that one blade in 2?
all agnians appear to be descended from blades
Please be kind to my moronic daughter, her fire hair cuts the oxygen intake of her brain.
>It is also a stopping point to me. This title depicts the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Klaus’s experiment.
Dude must be talking about the DLC expansion cuz that sure as shit didn't happen in the main story.
>Get wrecked by the Colony 4 Consul, can't even get it down to 2/3s health
>Level up everyone once
>The battle is now too easy and not fun
Many such cases
>That twist with the little fat manlet
It was at this point I gave up hope that the story will get better it's been a slow decline for 20 hours now
No, it actually gets a lot worse.
Oh jeez. I just got to Lambda, do I bail out of the game and cut my losses? All intrigue disappeared 5 hrs in
If you are not having fun playing it as well, I would. I didn't anticipate it being this bad. I'm currently looking for something to wash the taste of it out of my mouth.
sorry to hear that. im looking for something to fill the empty aching void now that i beat the game. i hate when i finish good games like this, makes everything else feel like shit for awhile
This is the first and the last twist in this game, lmao.
Aside from android queens
They didn't even bother to make plot any interesting and catchy.
mio at the end of chapter 5 is a pretty big twist
At first i welcomed the twist but they kept repeating it like a fricking broken record
Seeing the entire party of young adults gang up to beat up a fat kid for the boss fight was worth the moronic twist
what to do after beating the game? Is there a level 90 area somewhere
Yes. Check old City's location. Area is boring and ugly, but whatever.
there is one island full of lv99 ignas and tirkins in eryth, one cave in maktha L, and the place where the City used to be
im taking a little break from xc3 because vulkan still flashbangs my game on the third area. i started a replay of xcx just for the hell of it and bros... this is so soulful.
Remember the TP are an indication of someone's intellect, or rather their ability to strategize.
Which mean :
Smart : Taion > Noah > Mio = Eunie >> Lanz = Sena : Dumb
game design wise whats the point of bonus XP and gems vs accessories? to not be over levelled? might as well modify xp values and as for gems might as well give more accessory slots
Bonus XP is so you don't become automatically overleveled by just doing a bunch of sidequests, but it's there if you're in need of a little boost.
The bonus xp thing would make sense if fast travelling wasn't a thing. But generally if you get a build up of bonus xp you can just fast travel to a camp
Bonus EXP is so there's a tangible reward for side quests without the issue XC1 had where doing any side content would have you moronicly overlevelled and running a train on everything in the main story.
Of course, people are somehow overlevelling massively in XC3 anyway, but that's besides the point.
It's because people are leveling up classes to get the master arts.
They should have just make leveling up all manual.
>They should have just make leveling up all manual.
Or not lock levelling down to NG+. They got it right in the port of 1.
It's completely understandable because you unlock your accessories, skill, master arts and gems slots via leveling up.
What they should have done is classic automatic level up for classes and dark souls spend exp to level up for character levels.
>It's completely understandable because you unlock your accessories, skill, master arts and gems slots via leveling up.
Not really. If you got them once, you should be able to keep them.
It is incredibly easy to become overlevelled in this series as a whole.
Yeah, I'm playing on hard and have only been doing mandatory battles for the past 2 or 3 chapters and I still outlevel everything. I haven't even used bonus exp since the very beginning of the game, just the little bit has kept a comfy cushion between me and any boss.
And 3 is the easiest to be overleveled in because the side-qeust are kinda fun this time. There's less sidequests in which you have to collect random shit or kill X amount of monsters. Actually, there's a chapter 4 sidequest that pokes fun of XB1's fetchquests. You either have the option to collect 50 fruits to maintain peace with the Tirikins, or you break the treaty and fight them. Obviously, most people aren't going to collect 50 fruits that have a low chance of spawning, ans the Tirikins abuse the good nature of the local Colony. So it's as if Monolith just expects the player to fight them.
What? The NPCs there give you huge stacks of the required items, you hardly have to collect anything.
>Huge stacks
What? I only got 10 of 50 for each set it wanted. After that I had to do reload farming over and over.
Check back with them regularly.
At least in 2 not using any bonus EXP helped mitigate overlevelling a lot, XCDE let you freely lower your level any time and X's level cap was purposefully low to put more emphasis on gear stats. In 3 you can easily get overlevelled just from playing the game too well and overkilling a story boss too hard, even without using any bonus EXP, you can only level down once you've beat the game and gear has little to no value on your characters' stats
if I use a fusion art that is a non-attack art paired with an attack art then the effect of the paired art will no proc right?
No, they both proc
really? so if I do an aoe heal paired with a break art, the enemy gets broken when they heal happens? I feel like that doesn't happen the few times I've tried it
If the main art is an attack art and the secondary art isn't then you'll get the effects of both. If it's the opposite then you won't get the effects of the attack art because their effects activate on hit, so no hit = no effect.
The attack still goes out though. Or at least it does during chain attacks but I don't why it would be different normally.
Wrong, I paired Isurd's class' healing field with Gray' evade + front attack up and fusing them leads to two front attacks at the end of the Art execution. Pairing a damage and buff art together will lead to you dealing damage no matter the order of fusion.
Now that the Klaus story is over, can we please go back to the Mira story?
man I really wished they allowed to do modify each individual AI's behavior. something like, healers huddle close to defenders, if attacker has the aggro run towards defender for defence, always place attack up rings near attacks, etc
Yeah it's absolutely maddening when you notice half your characters are nearly dying and find your defenders aren't entering the regen fields, the healers are huddled beside the monster who's throwing out AOEs and your attackers are stuck on a rock trying to get behind the enemy
>Its a "You told everyone to go for Burst but they still Smash the boss" episode.
I am 100% sure they put the combo order in just to troll people and it doesnt actually do anything
I think I might be slightly overleveled for chapter 3...
You're fine. I was like level 80 when I started chapter 5.
Well, I have to clear the map...no?
What's up with that 1 lone question mark?
Some nopon quest. I can't activate it, or least I couldn't when I was there.
I'll check it later.
Talk to him with Valdi as your hero.
whats the point of playing on hard overleveled?
Noooo, you think so ?
So how long until the inevitable Swimsuit costume DLC and DLC hero classes?
There's going to be a hero class in the next wave.
Maybe he just likes bosses taking a half hour apiece.
2's swimsuits were rewards from challenge battle, 3's will probably work the same way
Will it have unnannounced content, like in 2.
Shulk, Fiora and Elma were all unannounced in XC2 if I remember correctly as they were part of the Land of Challenge. There's also a chance they'll add free extra content separate from the expansion like they did with T-elos.
Imagine if the land of challenge had Shulk, Fiora, Rex and Pyra.
I really don't think they will dare, but it would be nice.
swimsuits aren't saving this shitty game
bro lay off it clearly this isnt the thread for you
u mad?
I'm not, I got my refund.
I got 70+ hours of kino and then didnt spend my life crying about it on Ganker. I feel fulfilled sweetheart 😉
>;)
he mad
sllllluuuurrrrpppp
>tendies really believe this schlock is kino
good grief
>had a game, apparently
>returned it

Ignore that anon, you should stay here. Your tears are entertaining.

>Melia's Battle Theme is a remix from Future Connected
>Can't remember what Nia's song is for some reason
I haven't actually gotten to either of them yet but I keep getting Drifting Soul (Remix) in my YT recs so I'd assume it's that
it's a battle remix for
drifting soul
Oh ok, thanks anons. I was racking my brain for battle themes like Melia's.
Imagine if they add MOMO and Ziggy as heroes.
>"WHOOOOOAAA, GOT A RARE DOO DAT RIGHT HERE!!"

WTF he dies?
>Vandham dies
>Vandham and Vandham join the party instead
I'm 48 hours in and I just finished chapter 6. How long is chapter 7 compared to the previous ones? I'd like to know if I can finish the game today.
pls respond
you can finish chapter 7 in a day easily.
Thanks, anon
How to level up T's colony? They are all gone after liberating the colony theres only a nopon left
I think you have to do his quest to find them in the city
>first battle using FMJ and Gray
>chain attack deals literally double the amount it used to
Will any of the other attacker classes even compete?
funny how almost every new hero made me think this
>here, a guaranteed 200% rating
>here, refill your chain gauge
>here, all your attacks are crits
>Will any of the other attacker classes even compete?
Yeah, they'll have break arts.
So far FMJ is the best straight up ether damage dealer. Later there's an equally broken physical damage dealer that deals huge crit damage and keeps stacking up more crit with every successful crit. Which usually leads them to eventually grabbing aggro and dying.
FMJ's main downside is the complete lack of reactions which is annoying before you get the master arts going, the crit class for example has break.
>FMJ + Incursor Noah
>literally a cyber samurai
>Try taking a detour
>Oh lets not go that way
>This isn't the way to the colony...
>Why are you going this direction? Our goal is the opposite side
Game indirectly tells you not to go anywhere else because you will be overleveled. Like me kek
is the ancient city you travel through in mathka wildwood supposed to be the remnants of morytha? I thought it was really weird the party never once comments on the massive structures and shit and just acts like they are in a normal forest.
Yeah. It's literally called Maktha. It's Makna and Morytha.
I've spent like 25 hours looking for the last item I need to finish the collectopedia, maybe it's time to give up.
shitty game that did worse than expected
ass blasted coomer
>We at Monolith have put everything we have cultivated over the past twelve years into it.
It really doesn't show.
80% reused assets instead of a brand new universe like 1&2, basic ass DE combat with little room for experimentation(even worse gem variety than 1, huge step down from blade passives&aux cores)
No gear cosmetic but limited hero cosplay
And last but not least, really tame&tailored for global audience.
The story is cool and the cast needs some getting used to but it didn't impact me the way 1&2 did, just left me with a big "eh".
I'm just not having as much fun as I did with the earlier games and don't know why. Everything just... isn't up to what I expected. I don't like any of the characters, I don't like the story, I don't think the world is very fun to explore and the only thing I enjoy is the gameplay.
I feel like at this point it's more of an obligation to play because I'm a xenoblade fan or at least I thought I was. Maybe I'm not. It's a sad feeling.
Just stop playing it and get a refund if possible.
For me, realizing that my core party members had all been added in the first hours of the game just made it feel like "This is it". Very little to look forward to.
It's because they only made a quarter of a game and stretched it out over longer than other game runtimes.
Alright bros real talk..
I’ve played through half of XC1 and half of XC2. Don’t have time to explain I’m moronic but love the series. I ordered XC3 and it just came in. Should I go back and finish the first two games before playing 3 or would it be okay to just watch some YT vids to catch up? I feel like by the time I went back and beat the other two I’d have some game fatigue.. am I gonna severely frick up my experience if I don’t play through the ends as opposed to watching?
finish them first
Just play half of 3 and wait for XC4
Thanks anon I might just do that. Works for me so far.
Alright fine.. but at this rate I won’t get to XB3 til next year some time
Fine FINE! do I have to play the DLCs?
I got to Prison Island and then had some personal events happen where I wasn’t able to play games for a while so I kind of fell off.
also play Torna too
Prison Island isn't even when it gets good, play Deluxe Edition and just beat the game, if you want to improve enjoyment look at how to fight properly, the game is most enjoyable when you learn to break things and do all kinds of stupid shit and strange builds that just work.
I didn’t stop because I didn’t know how to play just had other things happen where gaming wasn’t on the table. I was playing DE I’ll just pick it back up.
Whether you were having fun or not breaking the game makes things more fun, remember to find all the secret locations.
>do I have to play the DLCs?
I'd suggest it but not nearly as necessary as actually finishing the main stories. You stopped playing them before things even actually began to pick up.
Well, you're in luck this time. If you only finish half of 3 you might end up liking it.
finish xc1 and 2 first. dont cuck and watch videos like a zoomie
pic related to 1 and 2
1 is so easy to finish, just over level. 2 can be a slog so I cant blame you even when rushing.
xc2 chain attacks are so broken you can nuke down any boss as soon as you get 3 orbs up no matter your level
Half?
Where did you get, I played Xenoblade 1 via emulatorup until Agniratha, and then I gave up and stopped because I got bored, and then I played Xenoblade DE up until the point of no return and stopped not because I wasn't enjoying the game but because I didn't want to leave so much loose ties on the side quests and super bosses.
I beat Xenoblade 2 by helping my brother beat the game, and it was a blat all the way through.
Just finish them, or have watched your brother beat Xenoblade 1 like I did, so you already know the ending when you played DE but still enjoyed the game anyway.
Future connected sucks, the new zone is great but the story sucks.
The best part about Xenoblade 1 in the DE is being able to level down, you can always earn max exp and get to keep the challenge up, it's a shame that it's locked behind NG+ in the later games, I really could have used it in Xenoblade 3 right now.
The OP says that there is no Xenoblade 4 ever.
>The OP says that there is no Xenoblade 4 ever.
Learn to read
>While it is a conclusion, that does not mean it is the end of the Xenoblade series.
Yeah, no Xenoblade 4, X isn't a numbered Xenoblade, it's a spinoff, and whatever Xenoblade is next won't be numbered 4, there's no point anymore.
I disagree.
The feeling is mutual
Sounds good to me, it's not like Blade is important to the title.
>yfw they start a new Xeno- series
what would be its suffix?
xenowheels, a racing game
does anyone have the xenoseries infographic?
These games need a combat dialogue frequency setting.
I agree
>Combat Dialogue Frequency - 1000%
>I'll say something moronic with the chad picture
>do I fit in yet?
Who pissed in your cornflakes?
They needed more dialogue for after battle. I was sick of Eunie and Lanz's "I want to fight stronger things" after the first hour.
>This title depicts the conclusion of the Xenoblade story that began with Klaus’s experiment.
How can he even say that when the game introduced absolutely NOTHING new about that? We still don't know what the frick the Saviorites were.
It's no conclusion at all, the game literally ends like dozens of collaboration events or spin-off games with a "And thus all was retconned out of existence and the characters don't really remember it!". The game was more than awesome and in my eyes the best of the franchise but as a conclusion, story-wise, it's garbage, there was a ton of more "conclusion-worthy" scenarios they could've come with.
The expansion pass better be an epilogue and not a founder's flashback.
>I think that everyone who played this title and the additional stories in the Expansion Pass can imagine what lies in the future for Xenoblade.
>the expansion pass art is all three blades together
no way it's about the founders
Yeah, that's why I was talking about the expansion pass in my post but given how the talks about Klaus' experiment, something that isn't even talked about in Xeno 3, I must admit I have a hard time giving weight to his words.
anon, everything that happened in XC3 is because of Klaus' experiment splitting the universe in two, giving birth to both XC1's and XC2's universes
Nintendo even had to spoil it to explain what the frick is happening in 3
Nintendo had to spoil it because XC3 itself doesn't even talk about said experiment. If you were to talk about Klaus or the conduit to someone who only played 3 he would have no idea who and what the frick you're talking about.
>The expansion pass better be an epilogue
Future Connected didn't really do shit, don't expect Xenoblade 3's expansion to be anything meaningful.
why are you morons obsessed with the saviorites. they were literally just a throw away line in a flash back that served to explain why klaus was in a hurry to run his experiment. they have no deeper meaning or role in the story. we dont need to hear any more about them. the bigger issue with the conclusion is how the never learn anything about how and why the worlds merged or the other universes the conduit created or even where the conduit fricked off to.
You don't give a faction a name unless you want to expand on it, if they wanted to use them as throwaways, they would've just used the term "rebels" with another line detailing their motivations and that's all. Giving them a name while hiding their reason for existing is something you do when you plan on using that point again later.
no, naming something is just basic fricking writing to make it seem like they belong in the universe. Giving something a name is not some super secret plot to set up a sequel you paranoid mouthbreather
>Muh Saviorites
Litteraly doesn't matter at all
>Muh founders
Litteraly doesn't matter neither
It's a tokusatsu game, no time for gay lore.
The series started with Klaus experiment that created two universes longing for a reunion
This is exactly what happens at the end of 3
The game doesn't "retcon itself", it still happened, the glitch in the Origin was removed which allowed the worlds to be reconstructed and start walking together. Noah finds Mio again and disappears from the town square.
And i'm sure Takahashi will add some finishing touches in the DLCs like making Noah and Mio reincarnations of Klaus and Galea or something.
There's multiple problems with the world and events of 3 impacting Origin that the game didn't address (yet I hope), mainly the fact that since mobius both deleted and added people into Origin's database during Aionios' existence, some people should be deleted from the reformed two worlds (all those who reached their 10th term) while others should pop into existence (like Shanaya/Shania).
>Giving something a name is not some super secret plot to set up a sequel
Point where I was saying that they should make a whole sequel about it, it's pretty sad that you can't get a point across without grossly deforming the words of people you try to argue with. You name something when it's important, not a throwaway, sometimes even using that name as a revelation itself. You're literally on the topic of a game that has two cutscenes made to tease about two different names.
you can't get your point across because its wrong. They called them saviorites to have a cute link to the fact that all the mechs in XC2 have angel halos. Thats it. I'm actually glad they didnt reference them at all in xc3 because its been annoying as frick to listen to you saviorite gays invent headcanon about them and pretend they are vital to the plot or something for five fricking years now
Headcannon is stupid and you're as stupid for being bothered by it enough to want less info on the background because of it.
>Xeno is supposed to be a sci-fi anime setting
>Only one fricking alien
You think Takahashi will try to make the next Xeno be based off of Mass Effect?
>Only one fricking alien
Did you not play X?
No, because I never owned a damn Wii U.
Emulate it today
Ignore this guy, you will spoil yourself, wait for XXDE.
That will never happen
is it worth playing it if you do have a wii u or should you still wait for a DE? (which probably wont ever happen, lets be fair)
Partial joke, XXDE will probably never happen, it's fine on WiiU and emulation, but in the off chance that a DE does release, it will fix most of the games glaring flaws, and probably tie in with a sequel.
Will the X DE if it happens bring back the content the global version removed?
Xenoblade is all about international releases these days, there will be parity between versions, so if you're talking about the censorship the Japanese version will just be censored too.
Also, it wouldn't be one location. There would be multiple planets you visit.
PLAY X
YOU CAN FRICKING EMULATE IT
THE PLOT IS LITERALLY "EARTH IS BLOWN UP WHEN ALIENS FIGHT ALIENS SO EVERYONE FLIES AWAY IN SHIPS BUT CRASHES ON AN ALIEN PLANET FULL OF ALIENS AND YOU FIGHT ALIENS BUT RECRUIT ALIENS AND IT TURNS OUT [XXX] WAS AN ALIEN ALL ALONG"
The bosses in this game are such a fricking disappointment, I don't want to fight another Moebius, for frick's sake
I thought I was gonna be done with those guys after beating the game but they're still coming back in side quests, I fricking hate them so fricking much, worst villains in the series
You will buy the DLC pass and you will enjoy the fight against Consul A(lvis)
Not, it will have consul A(ionos).
It's A(dolf)
It's A(ids)
alvis better be in the DLC. no fricking way they bring back the titty monsters from 2 but leave my boy out.
Takahashi, what was the point of Black Fog and Fog King?
What's the best way to play X on a PC?
CEMU plays it very well and has a bunch of graphics packs (basically toggleable mods for things like 60fps, reenabling online features). You just need to bind a key to enable the second screen for some features.
Justice for my homie Mwamba.
Everyone keeps losing their mind over Joran but nobody ever remembers that Mwamba got fricking killed too
And rhen there is Hackt
keep playing
>Urine
How the frick does some who has been training to be a soldier since birth end up that pudgy?
Tell me about odd shards. What are they even good for?
You will find out later.
They are pieces of origin used in a sidequest near the end of the game.
>I think that everyone who played this title and the additional stories in the Expansion Pass can imagine what lies in the future for Xenoblade.
What does that mean?
Another bait like Future Connected
aka fricking nothing, just buy gaijin
Which ones do you think learned to do it with each other THAT NIGHT?
Riku and Manana
Taion literally didn't sleep that night
Why, Noah and Mio of course
mio only had eyes for taion's bbc, noah got none.
Noah and Mio are litteral unNTRable, because they are the one who does the NTR
>even when NTR happens it's about you NTRing your own evil part of the soul
An amusing concept
>with each other
Nobody. But Mio, Sena and Eunie learned a lot that night.
Weren't Mio and Lanz up extremely early the next day or am I mistaking it with a cutscene that happens later? So I guess both Noah and Sena got some. Taion and Eunie were probably busy spilling spaghettis everywhere as is usual with their character archetypes when faced with things like that.
Sex.
with alexandria.
What if Eunie was Melia's daughter?
>Then she wouldn't be her niece I guess
and rex is the father
She would live a lonely life and then die alone.
The only reason he says this is because as part of the Square Enix sell off Nintendo acquired the Xenogears IP and his studio has already began replanning a full Xenogears series.
Okay so why do the Consuls look so much like that one guy from the end of X?
Why are the Nopon mainstays in every world?
nopon are the chosen people
*jews
>I have one recommendation for how to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Some things are marked by a ? on the game map. Even if you are in the middle of progressing the main story after finding the ? marks, try taking a detour. There are many encounters waiting there.
that's what I'm doing
NICE TRY NOAH BUT CAN YOU BEAT MY BLUE EYES WHITETO DRAGON
>Game opens with mixed bathing scene
>Mixed bathing never becomes a mainstay
Wasted potential
the whole point of that scene was to show that the characters at that point are asexual and exist only for killing. bathing is just maintenance to them.
and then Noah gets horny for Mio's neck.
Game was obviously censored
I am so glad xc3 was wildly successful and BTFO you coomer and waifuBlack person homosexuals
>wildly successful
>sells barely more than 10% even with Nintendo’s media blitz and sold less than 40% of stock
OH NO NO NO
holy frick fornis region is big
>They still didn't bring back rebuilding a city sidequest.
Rebuilding is not needed in the context of 3's story. The entire point is to undo this shit dimension and allow the time to flow again.
Well you kind of make a prison more homey, I guess. Not exactly the same thing, though.
I'm trying to finish xenoblade chronicles 2 but I'm honestly getting sick of not having full control over my party. I genuinely don't understand why they have the ai do shit when you should just be freely able to do what you want. Does being in full control of your party in 3 make for a better experience?
>Going through chapter 4
>Get to the duo boss with Ethel and Cammuravi
>He rips his fricking eye out after i beat him
>YES WE ARE NOW FREE
>LETS FIGHT TO DEATH
>GOD I LOVE FIGHTING YOU SO MUCH
Take it to the bedroom next time idiots
>Noah and Mio have sweet vanilla sex
>Lanz and Sena are too dumb to understand babymaking

Horny bird.

>CP is based on level difference
>the higher the enemy's level compared to yours the more CP you get
>it's very easy to overlevel
>meaning you'll have a hard time leveling up class ranks
Shit game design
Farm for silver coins then
how tf u farm silver coins
kill special monsters
huh, you only get it once right?
NTA
You can re-fight "yellow" enemies if you touch their gravestones.
must same level or higher level? somehow i didn't get a single silver coin after i fight the same yellow enemies
Still the best town in the series.
>cars drive right through you
>not only does physics not work but the ai doesn't acknowledge you
haha
>holographic cars drive right through you
Whoa!
It's complete shit, if you took the design from 2's towns and made that the size of NLA you wouldn't just have the best town in the series, you'd have the best town in video games.
I'm absolutely fricking disappointed that colonies were as shit as they were. I wanted something that was like 2's cities
I CAN'T SEE YOU
I CAN'T HEAR YOU
Fricking baaaaaaased
My town, my people.
>managed to slip it past noa homosexuals because they knew none of them would upskirt a character fearing retribution from the cult
SEX SEX SEX
why is monolith soft so fricking lazy with outfits nowadays?
they had so many cool looking stuff in XC1 and XCX that you could wear and now, this... recolors.
XCX did, but XC1 did not. XC1 only had like 5 armor designs with a ton of pallete swaps and every single one looked like shit, at least Definitive addition added a few new costumes to the mix.
Also Challenge Battle will definitely add them as rewards for XC3 just like it did for XC2.
am I overleveled already?
>33 hours
>chapter 3
>level 32
exploration is too fun, lads. I can't stop
Yes. Game punishes you for exploration.
what should I do then, I don't want to continue with the main story, not yet
I think things even out around chapter 4
I'm the same but I was level 40 in Chapter 3, it got to the point where I strolled into Colony Iota and beat up that chick and her friends, but then the conversation sounded like I killed her by doing it prematurely so I turned it off.
autism
Quest log has recommended levels for starting quests including the main story's chapters. Recommended level for starting Chapter 4 is 27.
Do you think the "It's too anime" crowd got to Nintendo? Like, there's almost no personality to anyone at all. It's so bland, they just say the same shit over and over again.
Definitely, considering those "people" are the same ones that complained about the over the top designs in 2.
I'm 40 hours in and only just noticed, but there really is no heart to hearts?
They're baked into the story and through camp discussions
There's a shit ton of optional camp banter. Explore the world and pick up on random conversations.
The game has so much on field dialogue as well camp conversations, not to mention that the main story has far more inter characters interactions, that heart to hearts are not really needed.
thank fricking god there are no heart to hearts. imagine a game system that hides important story content and makes you grind bullshit so you can see it long after the conversation it shows is no longer relevant to the plot.
The only character who would've needed some heart to heart is Sena given that she has almost no interaction with either Eunie and Taion outside of the team and that she has no side-story since her "own" is hijacked by Shania and Ghondor.
Sena's sidestory is 7th's hero quest
now that the dust has settled can we agree Niagays won? You get a nia clone party member the entire game and Nia herself even gets to show up an play an important role. Pyra/Mythra are cucked into a brief appearance in a photograph.
XC1: "today we use our power to fell a god"
XC2: "lets get this done, so we can move on"
XC3: "We'll claim the future and shape it ourselves"
who had the best finisher line?
XC1
still get goosebumps, especially when it was said again in XC2
>lets get this done, so we can move on
This is what Takahashi said to his staff when they were making Xenoblade 3. He clearly stopped giving a frick about the “Klaus saga” when this is all he wrote for the conclusion of it.
>Noah just not knowing what to do when Mio starts flirting with him
>forced to improvize on a spot
>even does it semi-successfully
Xenoblade is reddit
that climbing section on zain's tlaon
If Mio spent a month with Moebius, surely N had sex with her thinking it was his Mio right?
He spent that entire time raping the other Mio, thinking it was Noah's Mio.
But really, he was just cruelly abusing his own Mio even more, so she'd really hate him by the time she died.
N is too emo to get laid anymore
Not only that, she would also remember all the times N fricked her over the years and now silently judges Noah's clumsy performance.
thats why shes so embarassed talking about her M memories, they are like 90% her getting her brains fricked out
>"I had to do my best, i couldn't afford to be found out"
She totally did
My autism of wanting to fill up the map is ruining this game for me
imagine doing it again, on NG+
>XC1 eryth sea
good fricking lord
>XC3 erythia sea
shoot me
Eryth sea made me cum in the first game ngl
>XCDE
>finally reached Alcamoth
>wasted 1.5 monts to finish every side quest because they become unavailable later
>doing quests in XBCDE
for what purpose
Lked the game and decided to do as much content as possible.
Big mistake.
How? the sidequests are boring af
>Discovering Eryth Sea
One of the most wonderful experiences in gaming
>Discovering Alcamoth and the billions of sidequests with a timer on it telling you that they won't be available after some point
One of the most dreadful experiences in gaming
Same

>Get the boat
>Realize how small the exploration range actually is
that fricking ship has the worst mobility ever.
wtf were they thinking?
and they had the audacity to give you a speed booster with that maneuverability
>I have one recommendation for how to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Some things are marked by a ? on the game map. Even if you are in the middle of progressing the main story after finding the ? marks, try taking a detour. There are many encounters waiting there.
Pretty ironic he says this when the game shits itself the moment you go off on your own. Did some side stuff in ch 3 and 4 and now im constantly 10 levels above main quest and the whole thing is a cake walk
Then play on hard mode or stop claiming bonus experience you pussy.
So any progress on emulation? Does it run in ryujinx now?
Ryujunx always ran just never well
How does the game hold up against X and 2? I didn't like the first very much.
Way worse than X, and more boring than 2.
It's a pale shadow of the other games in every aspect save for gameplay which is the best in the series.
better than 2 in every single way except OST
Noah and Mio: vanilla
Lanz and Sena: size difference
Eunie and Taion: pegging
This but Sena also pegs Lanz
Lanz is on so many levels of power frame augs he can absolutely frick the shit out of that gorilla gremlin
Ethel and Cammuravi?
No sex, only swordfight
These ships remind me of tales of the Arise, they definitely took notes
Is 2 better than 1 in any ways? The long corridors of 1 really got annoying after a while. Gonna start up 2 while I wait for 3 to go on sale.
1 is annoying af and aged poorly, 2 is an improvement especially in the exploration aspect.
Sounds more streamlined which is what I'm craving after the long-windedness of 1, nice
you just have to be prepared for some cringe. XC2 unfortunately is heavy on cringe moments until you get to chapter 5 but then it gets better
It's really not
Lack of tutorials and overload on mechanics make it one of the most messiest xenoblades
3 is way more streamlined though
Verticality of level design.
That had layers and I honestly miss it
2 has MUCH better gameplay, 1 is fun to play through but actually ridiculously simple.
1 and 2 both have long corridors, the only difference is that you can oneshot enemies in 1 easily, while in 2 even normal mobs take forever to die
1 has the better story and cast, 2 has the better battle system and OST
2 has better music and story. 1 has better characters
2 is worse in almost every way but gameplay
1 is a better narrative. I enjoy the characters like Zeke and Morag more than cast members in 1 but Rex is annoying. 2 has some breathtaking scenery
>>1 is a better narrative
>regurgitated the same plot point of Shulk refusing to tell others about visions 5 FRICKING TIMES
>keeps playing prison island vision for the first third of the game only for them to do frick all to actually change it, playing out the exact same way so you were just being spoiled on the events early on and nothing else.
>HMMMMMM this Dickson guy sure keeps saying weird stuff every single time we see him, *gasp* what do you mean he's a traitor!!
>every single character after their 30 minute character arc only serves to say "but what does this have to do with Shulk!?" if they're allowed to open their mouth
>Zanza has absolute zero character besides "I'm le god!"
XC1 is the most over rated shit ever yet gays still try to pretend it's the piece of writing they've ever witnessed.
>follow slowly moving NPCs quests left and right
Xenoblade has fallen several ranks for me
Does Sena have a fire crotch?
she exclusively takes it in the ass. she thinks PIV is icky
Man they fricking wasted this Ethel character.
Why is there so much shipping in this game? Who likes this shit?
But there's only 2 ships in the game anon, and both are stuck in a single area.
I have no idea what is going on in chain attacks
in what way? you dont know how to do them or you just see unga bunga big numbers
how. XC3 has the most understandable chain attack system of all the XC games and they explain exactly how to use it.
Not him but I don't understand the usefulness of Defenders.
Attackers get a boost if they're first in line, Healers only go up to 99% so you can get higher percentage, and in theory Defenders guarantee you'll get a reactivation if you finish with them, but even when I don't finish with a Defender the characters reactivate anyway and sometimes when I didn't finish with a Defender but the Chain Attack gauge was completely empty no one activated.
Defender finishing the order is always +1 guy back. You also get +1 back at 150% and +1 at 200%.
Ending with a Defender ensures that the character you get back is the one with the highest TP
If I understand correctly if you end turn with defender than it guarantees to get characters with the highest TP back.
always start with the hero(if possible)
then it's attacker > healer(until 99%) > defender so you can reach over 150%(this will probably be very hard on the first round)
It's actually pretty simple
>Red characters get more meter if they attack first
>Green can't push the bar above 99%
>Ending a combo with blue increases the amount of points the refunded character gets
>Heroes are treated as uncolored
Getting the meter to 100 executes the "plan" you picked and refunds one, two, or 3 characters depending on how many points you got above 100.
>Ending a combo with blue increases the amount of points the refunded character gets
Doesn't it just guarantees that the character with the highest amount of points is reactivated?
yes, other guy is wrong
Keep pressing buttons eventually it makes sense.
Solid strategy
>Consul P and O are talking
>Mio just punches them in the face and sends them flying
Mia's gimmick is speed so she literally became a rocket for a second
>taion is the weakest agnian soldier confirmed
>Playing with Japanese voices
>Say Nina
>"Alexandria"
Why are these homosexuals localizing names?
Well, just watch the eclipse homecoming again anon, Taion is also the last one to get rid of the soldier holding him, even the nopons got rid of theirs faster.
>changing Nami to Nimue
Why? Just fricking why? Where is my delocalization mod?
where the worlds always supposed to unmerge or is that something noah chose when he was in elysium?
Origin is not designed to merge the worlds by itself. It's supposed to reconstruct the worlds after collision in the exact way they were before.
The problem is, worlds WANT to become one. So after Origin reboots everything to Queen's anniversary, the worlds are now walking hand in hand, close enough for Noah and Mio to reach each other.
So basically they're just different continents on the same planet then?
Given that Noah literally disappears into a thin air, more likely two planes with a way to travel between.
One of a few options
1 - XIV styled two planets that are dimensionally displaced but right "next" to each other
2 - Some Wacky ass orbits
3 - make your own theory
The ending sorta shows it well, they are basically two overlapping planes
>worlds WANT to become one
Or just these two since they were originally one.
Origin was just meant to restore everything to how it was before, Z just interrupted the process midway to run his eternal simulation
all Noah did was kill him so Origin could resume its job
Should I continue to grind for these Nectarines or just wipe the Tirkins off the map?
>One of the best class
>The first you can get to Rank 20
>Based sidequest about gaining the trust of his frustrated subordinates
>Based af personality, a true leader
>Gets best e-girl Juniper wet
If I were in Takahashi, I'd have made him the MC
I like his voice and skills but he can't keep aggro for shit
Am I the only one who did all the side quests but was always at the right level? Literally all you have to do is never camp to level up
anyone else think the cutscene animation is a bit of a step down from Xeno 2? Like I can see the default animations used during gameplay but just slightly modified frequently
rewatch 2's cutscenes, they're terrible, the water tank scene is iconic in how bad it is
3 has some great choreography in the quests that matter atleast, but sadly they still haven't surpassed the quality of the first game's scenes
I really like a lot of the small details in the game, like certain creatures not coming back but being able to find their fossils, or some animals having a male and female version, and I like how some of the animals are more blatant fusions like the birdcamels, and deerfish, or the turtleseals.
Graphically the resolution upscale works but it's far better suited to getting a 900p game across the 1080p line, taking a 540p game up to 1080p is really pushing things, but on next gen hardware with Nintendo's own proprietary upscaler probably developed with Nvidia using AI acceleration taking a 1080p image to 4k could be totally doable, some Nintendo games may even use a higher internal resolution to upscale to 4k.
As far as graphical fidelity goes Xenoblade 3 is really well handled, they obviously focused on pushing higher detail assets over making the game perform well on the hardware, but it puts the games visual quality closer to a mid budget JRPG on PS4, in some instances it's better than some made for PS4 games, like the wrinkles in the characters pants are actual geometry and they are higher detail than Cloud's pants in FF7R, the normal maps actually match the geometry for one thing, but the wrinkles are more defined through the geometry too.
Just makes me wonder what will happen with Monolith Soft on next gen hardware, they have conitnuously pushed visual fidelity over performance/stability, so that doesn't bode well, but with Monolith Soft sticking with an anime art style they aren't very far away from maxing out the quality of their current visual style.
>I like how some of the animals are more blatant fusions like the birdcamels, and deerfish, or the turtleseals.
Only the seals are new, the Camills and Garaffas are from 2
I don't even remember the Camills and Garaffas from 2, or maybe I'm just misremembering Ponios being in 2 in place of them.
