The answer for least is always BLM, there is like a 80% chance they are dogshit and underperform even DNC. It's not worth the risk.

healers should strive to improve and die less just like every other role. if you decide to queue as a healer you should know you have a responsibility to keep the party alive.
Healers are also de facto necessary in 90% of dungeon roulettes besides expert queue.

The only enjoyment I've gotten out of healing this week was in an Aglaia run where none of the tanks turned their stance on for Byregot, but it didn't matter because we were able to easily keep our RPR tank's health up.

The first time I playing BLM after playing SMN through ARR and into HW and watching hp bars fricking chunk with a fire IV cast when they just gradually melted on SMN altered my brain chemistry.
Yeah BLM being the only class that could visibly chunk boss HP meters with its casts was always a big point for me.
that's what made me level it too. i loved taking big chunks out of hp bars with every cast.
BLM has one bad aspect, that you need to fully understand the fight before you play BLM on it, or you're griefing and would do more dps as most other jobs.
That means that BLM is just this gay cringe parsing job unless you play with complete shitters where you prog wipe like 30 times.
I like to actually cast my magical spells with a cast bar. No RDM doesn't count because I don't play a caster to use melee moves.

SAM main here. Once you get the rhythm down it's almost instinctually easy weave GCD/OHCD into an endless anime grade swordstorm. Double SAM is my favorite 4-man grouping, whereas double BRD is slow as shit.

it is not beating 10% damage down + 25% max HP shield, holy sheltron + intervention are 10% damage down with 2/3rds of a regen
I would have to get online and look at dark knights trait but there is no damage reduction on base TBN. I do like tbn and would probably put it just slightly ahead of holy sheltron but it is a colossal waste if the shield doesn’t break

yeah sorry I overlooked that. I typically dont stack anything with TBN outside of extremes and trash pulls because I have such bad luck with the shield not breaking
1.25x HP is the same as 0.80x damage taken. They have the same eHP. Drk is therefore 0.80 * 0.9 = 0.72. Holy Sheltron is two instances of 0.85, meaning 0.85*0.85=0.7225. nearly identical but comes with a Regen that pushes it over for eHP. And the comparison gets worse when you consider busters that hit twice. If tbn breaks, and Holy Sheltons first 0.85 falls off, you're left with just oblations 0.9 vs sheltrons longer 0.85.
DRK has the highest burst damage but they need party buffs. just due to the way they can dump spenders compared to other classes + living shadow

RPR is the strongest job in fights that allow you to pool resources. See: DSR, TOP, resource runs.

They did, it does slightly more damage overall but it doesn't shine as much as RPR because RPR puts more damage in the DPS check that matters as they come fully loaded with 100 Shroud.
SAM is most likely to attract shitters since 99% of SAM players are braindead morons

Most: probably Sam. They have a lot fake depth so they attract sweatlords, but is easy to play so they’ll do a good job progging. BLM also attracts sweatlords who will try harder than necessary and do a good job.
Least: RDM. They do bad damage, they don’t rez because they are already neurotic about their bad damage, and they use up all my quickcasts dying themselves. I generally rez the RDM more than everyone else combined.
A bloo bloo bloo, people are shit at my main job. I'm really not sure how people can be bad at RDM. I can understand if they break the finisher combo and lose all their damage, but it's not like there's much complexity outside of get mana to 50, melee combo, finisher combo, don't backflip into the bad.
Every time you get rezzed make a tally to rez two other players. At the end of the night if your number is negative, switch to summoner.
I would have to die to get rezzed though. In casual content that's pretty rare. In harder content (Savage/Extreme), my experience has shown it's healers trying to parse that cause the most deaths.

Your burst window will always be the same. The craziest thing you'll do is downtime Kassatsu and the only 2 recent examples were on TOP during Sigma and A1 during LC.

You're losing 100s of DPS minimum with anything else, especially accounting for additive pad from all the other buffs. It isn't that important in the grand scheme of things but it's essentially the same as when bards whined about dragoon.

Every Solar Bahamut has a 500p heal ogcd that can be used at any time for 30s after the initial demisummon cast. Phoenix is now at the 3 minute mark and every 4 minutes after. But this is a bigger increase in overall healing and usability.
Healers already have enough tools to not need it, all this does is step on healers already broken toes

You're not wrong, SMN at 70 feels the best as you only summon Bahamut. Regardless SMN has been demoted to my least favourite casting job, it feels limp, and even after ten years I still can't summon things that aren't Ifrit/Garuda/Titan.
Lunar Bahamut gives SMN a buff to use Solaris for 30sec, which is a free Indom when you feel like it, so they CAN heal at the right time.

Because full uptime striking dummies are insanely good for jobs that gain a ton of damage by landing more filler GCDs like MNK or SAM. Look at P12S-1 and you'll see a more varied assortment of jobs.
BLM isn't irrelevant if it doesn't do sam level damage. It can do even reaper level and it'll still have a place. Right now it makes the other casters totally obsolete
VPR is better in sustained damage and worse in burst, VPR will be more valuable in parties that have low or no buffs.
Sustained damage profiles also usually lose more from downtime, so it may even be a fight-by-fight basis if VPR and SAM are close before you consider raid buffs.

The tanks are really close for the most part except DRK, who's a little bit behind the others across multiple fights.
as a healer, PAL is my favorite tank in prog because it can kitchen sink any tank buster without its invuln (ie no invuln solo tank soul grasp pretty easily). Warrior sustain is cool, and drk/gnb are highly dependent on how dps-brained the player is.
I main paladin because it feels so comfy and has great party utility. I think it’s definitely the most healer friends because the incoming damage and the way its invul works is very predictable. but like others have said the tanks are so close in dps it really comes down to how well you can play them. I think dark knight looks way cooler (sfx and abilities) and has a lot better lore than paladin tho
The problem with gnb and drk is it attracts dps players who don’t get tank mechanics have to be done 100%, or it’s probably a wipe, and can’t suffer not double weaving during a mechanic and their provoke/shirk doesn’t fire or their mits don’t go off but they are like FRICK NO I’M UNDER BUFFS!

you can add things outside of the dalamud client into the client in the settings.
