Man that just feels bitter and sad. What happened to their sci-fi game that they had on kickstarter?
Honestly, the Mk IV announcement sounds more like a pitch to LGSs than to players. > No please stock our game we'll cut down on how much shelf space it'll take up please people will play new players always come in for new editions right please stock our game!
They do need to appeal to stores to stock their shit after basically being dead for years now. The 3d printing seems interesting, but it basically guarantees that it's not going to see a release outside the US
>Man that just feels bitter and sad. What happened to their sci-fi game that they had on kickstarter?
They made metal/resin hybrid models in the year of our lord 2025
Because their distribution is so shit that having genuinely great game design couldn't save them outside a small dedicated playerbase, most of whom already owned most of their models.
Okay so sounds like they are actually trying to fix core problems. I guess. There are some big take aways from this.
>Also they're gonna AOSify Warmachine, rip good game design.
They're not going to blow up the setting... But they are utterly wiping the slate clean with rules and models.
They will NO LONGER SUPPORT UP TO DATE RULES FOR ANY MODEL PRODUCED BEFORE MK4. And that's a good thing.
They admit themselves that things have just gotten out of control. It's impossible for any reasonable retailer to maintain WarmaHordes products in store. There are thousands of models, hundreds of character models. It took them THREE YEARS to update all the rules for their models in MK3.
ALL of their new models will be produced through 3D printing. No more metal and resin shit. The 3D printing means that they can much more easily set up foreign production in the EU and possible Oceania. Just set up 3D printers there.
There will be no more WarmaHordes. Hordes is going away. It will just be Warmachine. Which uh, yeah, that makes a lot of sense. What the FRICK were they thinking have TWO GAMES going on with different labels, brand recognition, each with hundreds of different releases, but actually they're really the same game underneath?
Yeah. Sounds pretty harsh. Moving all current models to the status of Warhammer Legends sounds really harsh, and that will piss off current fans, but uh, I really doubt there are much left.
Focusing on the Warjacks and making them have interchangable parts and all sounds like a really, really, really great idea.

Mr Wilson, please, this isn't convincing anyone.
Menoth was my favorite faction as well looks like I won't be getting back in

Menoth isn't literally destroyed. Just 10% what it once was.
No idea where people are getting the "100 people" idea from, because it sure as shit isn't the recent books.
Yeah, it was a mass exodus. Technically the land is still there for anyone to claim/protect, there's just so few people that they can't even man the outposts. Which is great for various factions like Trolls who are having a grand ol' time pillaging everything.
Doesn't matter how true your statement is. The people that spent the dosh on their old models are gonna be butthurt that their toys won't play in the new edition.

I'm fine with the MkIV release, because I'm not a meta chasing tourneygay. If the new edition sucks, my friends and I will just stick with Mk3 Brawlmachine.
I mean, cool- I certainly won’t complain if it actually succeeds. That said, it reads more like a marketing campaign to rebrand a massive reduction in scope of product as a feature rather than proof they’re a shadow of what they used to be.
Also, more new armies? You can’t go from admitting you churned out way too much shit for LGSs to manage in one sentence and then immediately announce four fricking factions in the next.
But whatever - as long as it doesn’t cuck up my gatormen I’ll give it a shot.
Khador got their leadership purged, with Tsarina remaining, and is being actively invaded by Orgoth. Small parts balkanized and some fled to join Cygnar, but for most part Khador is more united than ever and currently in a good standing.
CTRL+F this thread for better explanation, also Vlad died like a chad.
is it supposed to be the apsalus
I kinda want it.
Also they're gonna AOSify Warmachine, rip good game design.
Funny you mention that ...

Warcaster: Neo-Mechanika?
It's around ... it also seems like it may be inspiring some of the direction Mk IV is going, like the loadout thing.

from page 5 to whiny little b***hes lmao absolutely pathetic
cute
nah
>rip good game design
If Warmachine is good why don't you play it?
Because their distribution is so shit that having genuinely great game design couldn't save them outside a small dedicated playerbase, most of whom already owned most of their models.
That's just Isola from Gunvolt.

Where does it say that two countries are gone?
The lore has the entire nation of Menoth just .... destroyed. Something like less than 100 followers is left in Immoren.
Ios just straight up got zombified. This is from the other Warmahordes thread.

It is for a faction though right?
No confirmation on that.

Think Tristian took a lot of them to Zon or whatever, hope they come back, assuming privateer press doesn't implode by then

These are mutually exclusive, AoS' rules are way better than WHFB's by the end

5/5, I bit.

oh wow Mk4 just in time the game was just about to die

I stopped playing in Mk2. Can anyone tell me what the current lore is? Specifically what's going on with Khador?
Khador got their leadership purged, with Tsarina remaining, and is being actively invaded by Orgoth. Small parts balkanized and some fled to join Cygnar, but for most part Khador is more united than ever and currently in a good standing.
