if this shit didn't have the title "ff16" you wouldn't be able to tell that it's ff. i fricking hate nu-ff so much. this shit will literally be forgotten less than a month after it comes out.

I'm not sure what people mean by this. FF had plenty of medieval-fantasy settings before. What were you expecting?

yeah, they also had colors in them. shame, huh.

      >nu-ff
all final fantasies are 'nu-ff' you moron. thats the whole point of the franchise.

Not him but people who say this have really bad skills at pattern recognition. Final Fantasy has a consistent, if evolving identity from 1-9, and 10 is kind of a half-breed. If you can't see it you're just stupid. From 11 onward the differences between each entry are much more dramatic, there's not much tying them together other than a handful of spell names and trademark creatures like Chocobos and Moogles.

            >ignores that every game has its own identity
Except that I don't do this. Each one has its own identity, and the series also has one. Both can be true at the same time. Stupid people don't understand this. They can only see one obvious pattern, or not pattern at all. That's the same reason why they do so poorly on IQ tests.

Okay, what was memorable about FF13 other than the pink haired protagonist the game director continued to try and shove down our throats?

        >characters don't all look exactly the fricking same, each one has a clear visual identity
        >setting is a cool fusion of sci-fi and fantasy rather than "we want the game of thrones audience"
        >gameplay has actual thought put into it rather than "we desperately want to trick people into buying this shit action/rpg hybrid"
        >baller ost unlike nu-ff such as xv which literally has 2 of its own tracks and the rest of the game is just nostalgiabaiting with old games' osts
also it was more linear than any other jrpg with the exception of maybe tales of graces. that's pretty memorable.

No news for months and it won't be at TGS, you'll see hype again when we get another trailer.

No. FF is dead. You should have abandoned hope a long time ago. And if you are entertaining the idea that it would at least be better than XV just remember Stranger of Paradise is a thing. If that doesn`t calm your boner nothing will. Just let go. It`s time.

Ryoma ito, Itahana and Fujisaki are better.
Hell, Miki Yamashita and the Bravely Default 2 new artist have potential to be better than Yoshida

I do not care what anybody says. I loved the Trailer. I know the Trailer received mixed feelings. Final Fantasy XVI gave me that magical feeling of a brand new, serious, mainline Final Fantasy game. One of my most anticipated games.
