Apparently you get the 7* raid ribbon on the Mew if you use it to beat Mewtwo, so unless you plan on getting carried by 3 others then you have to level it to 100 anyways which means you can't preserve it.
I hope one day they have a raid that gives the mighty mark to any pokemon that beats it.

pretty sure when it was datamined they just a random Mew. Unless that changes in an update, ANY Mew should qualify for the mark, not just this specific one.
