The pattern is easy to memorize.
The frame perfect jump timing to be able to barely jump over one of the lower blob and then land on the ground and quickly hop again at that one specific part in the pattern is what makes this fight so impossible.
Unironically, buster only is the only argument that could be made for "not beating the game" because you played it wrong and didn't learn anything. Mega Man games are not fundamentally hard, playing them well is. Anyone can brute force their way through with lemons eventually.
>rewind feature in Legacy Collection
I played through the whole game four times last night, but cheated all the way through.
Also, frick Gutsman. I can never time when I'm supposed to jump to avoid his earthquake.
At some point I did actually bother to do it without the pause trick, it's just about memorisation since the pattern's the same every time
Most of the time I don't have the patience but then again if I'm replaying mm1 I might as well do it properly
>Powered Up >the robot master rematch gauntlet >on hard >as Roll
Possibly the most insane Mega Man experience ever. You really don't know shit until you've given it a try.
I will never understand this sentiment. >Section of the game is hard >Find easier way to get through the section and continue having fun >Dumbasses scream “YOU DIDN’T BEAT IT” despite you ending up in the exact same place as people who did the section “legit”.
It’s not a major skip, it’s just a cheese strat that let’s you avoid the tedium. Maybe some people appreciate the challenge but the rest of us want to get to the fun parts of the game.
bump
The credits screen didn't say that.
I had a dream where he picked up megaman and then took off his "pants" and then GAME OVER
I only use the Mega buster in every game.
You can memorize Yellow Devil's pattern btw.
The pattern is easy to memorize.

Just jump over both in one big jump
>The frame perfect jump timing to be able to barely jump over one of the lower blob and then land on the ground and quickly hop again
when is that
Probably meant that part around 5, where it never occured to him to jump those two quick succession blobs in one jump.
In his defense I used to double jump those as well. Yes I am also moronic. I did beat him hitless that way eventually though.
>I only use the Mega buster in every game.
Based
If you do bosses by weakness order just to abuse weapons then you did not enjoy megaman
Instead of trying to shame me, worry about your shitty programming Inafune you HACK
I can't beat airman.
time your jumps
Frick off autist.
why are japs so bad at games?
rockman 2 is way harder
Easy just get leaf shield.
i can't defeat wood man
no matter how i try to dodge his swirling leaves he always kills me again
Easy just get metal blade or atomic fire
I can't beat Metal Man
Are you trying to get close to Metal Man?
better to just clip tornado through his shield if you are being serious
Unless you fought using the buster only you never beat any of the games.
Unironically, buster only is the only argument that could be made for "not beating the game" because you played it wrong and didn't learn anything. Mega Man games are not fundamentally hard, playing them well is. Anyone can brute force their way through with lemons eventually.
>playing buster only is wrong because you didn't learn that metal blades are stupidly powerful.
metal blades are only in one game and they are not even optimal in said game
This is part of the issue. When you go buster only you never learn how the games really work.
You spelled 'Magnet Missile' incorrectly, anon
Never got what was supposed to be so hard about this fight.
Easy on the poffins, Hitmonlee
who gives a shit
I don't want to beat it, frick that fight and frick that game.
>rewind feature in Legacy Collection

>legacy collection
That's your problem. Play on a non shit emulator and you'll see how easy the game is when you have less input lag
True, I used savestates. I should try it again, but for real this time.
git gud gay
Agreed, but once you get his pattern down he’s actually pretty easy. Super fun boss fight. The real test is beating elecman with buster only
PAUSE PAUSE PAUSE
iconic gameplay
I don't like platformers.
maybe i don't know can you repeat the question?
I'm gonna using save states just to piss you morons off
>0:04
Holy SOUL. Literally old avgn tier autistic raging
At some point I did actually bother to do it without the pause trick, it's just about memorisation since the pattern's the same every time

You didn't beat the Yellow Devil unless you fought him in Powered Up on hard mode as Oil Man.
>not memorizing the pattern
it's not even that hard lmao
i want to press button and win, not think
>I don't want to play a video game
>I want a movie
>Powered Up
>the robot master rematch gauntlet
>on hard
>as Roll
Possibly the most insane Mega Man experience ever. You really don't know shit until you've given it a try.
what about unpowered Mega
Powered up is extremely underrated
>pause glitch
>metal blade
>brute forcing Wily Capsule 7 with e-tanks
>beating MM&B with Bass
>hadouken
>shoryuken
>X3 Z-saber
>ultimate armor
>any x6 exploit
>cyber elfs
>e-reader cards buffs
>model HX tornado attack
>shining laser
>gater
>prism
>tribe king
>any type of save state/easy mode
You didn't beat it
exploiting x6 is what makes it fun though
Also I never wanna do x3 without z-saber again, sigma in that game is the most unfun thing ever
>exploiting x6 is what makes it fun though
depends, playing normal mode and spamming z buster is basically journalist difficulty
>beating MM&B with Bass
The game was most likely made for Bass before they through in Mega Man.
Weapons for stages/buster for bosses is the best way to play Mega Man,
sus
I will never understand this sentiment.

Copy Megaman is harder anyway
Yellow Devil has a simple pattern you can easily memorize.
