Not sure, I know you can disable auto updates which stops updates downloading as soon as you turn the console on but doesn't stop it downloading them when you try and launch the game. In theory with auto updates off, you should be able to download other games as long as you don't accidently boot up Stellar Blade, and then just go offline when you want to play it. Can't say for certain if it works though.

If he had booted it offline FROM THE START, before connecting to the internet then it would have loaded the game normally. If he really wants to he could just delete all the game data, reinstall and then boot it offline again.

1. Changed Graffiti textures because of potential offensive reasons
2. Changed at least 2 outfits AFTER release on the patched version V1.002
3. Changed at least 4+ outfits BEFORE release with very obvious and low quality textures
4. Removed Gore many effects AFTER the patch
5. Removed blood on clothes effects AFTER the patch
6. CEO lied on an emergency conference about the censorship being intended from the start, which can be easily disproved

ignoring the censorship controversy the gameplay is more of the same from the demo it's engaging enough to keep playing and the areas have nice shortcuts like a Souls game to get you back to earlier areas for return trips. It's nothing groundbreaking but it's definitely not bad.

I put in about 3 hours last night. It's pretty good. It's like a AAA Code Vein. EVE the main character becomes tolerable a few hours in once she stops being so robotic and the game bothers to explain wtf is going on.
Gameplay wise. The animation wind up lag takes a lot to get used to. It's not like souls games where button presses are instant, she'll always do a little cute animation before the action takes place. She also moves slow and the gap closer, stinger in DMC even fully upgraded is both too short and on a cool down, which doesn't let you go from enemy to enemy as easy as other action games. There are typical asian game invisible walls that pop up and the game isn't clear about what bodies of water are safe to swim until you're taking damage, annoying because the game makes the point to explain EVE doesn't need to breathe and can survive underwater
The Final nitpick is the lock on range and camera. Even though you can scan areas you can't actually lock on to an enemy until your about in their attack range. Also the camera doesn't orientate itself you'll have still use the right stick to get them in frame.
The good, Dual Sense showcase all the bells and whistles are on full display just do yourself a favor and turn on auto loot or you'll be jamming on R2 for the entire game, environments are gorgeous and explorable and the music is calming and soothing, very Phantasy Star Online, HDR is great, makes EVE's ass crazy shiny.
