I just finished playing the PS2 port tonight. It was interesting how they cut up the levels into smaller pieces, Liberty Island is like 4 or 5 separate maps.
Are the models an upgrade or do the lower res textures kind of ruin it?
They look sort of like the HDTP models, which is to say awful.
Docks, front of statue, back side of the island, inside of the statue, and UNATCO.
Did they ever finish the HDTP models or is it still just a couple of HD models running around mixed in with the much more low poly and low res original NPC's?

That was the first version of the game I ever played. It was fricking sick. I still have the case with a little cheat code sticky note somewhere in a box. It's a pretty cool port

I saw Walton Simons at a grocery store in NYC yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen biocells in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the biocells and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each cell and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I know people clown on TNM's story but I found parts of it relatable as someone who used to post in a now-defunct forum (back when forums were still a thing). Mod drama, noobs being stupid, users creating dumb cliques, admin changes leading to the destruction of board culture, etc.

For me, it's combat knife to the nape. Also, most people have no idea that you can shoot weapons out of enemies hands if you hit precisely in the wrist.
