Let's see, here's a few impressions.
I met a floo player who was so unwashed and stunk so badly it was difficult to concentrate on the duel and it wasn't even me who was dueling him.
The hobby store's administrator plays his own brew of D/D/D, fully blinged out, and he's a beast with it. He's also a cool dude.
Swordsoul and branded players are plentiful and run-of-the-mill, and they all seem to have that thousand-yard stare even when playing, as if they aren't really there mentally. Makes me wonder if they're all high simultaneously or something.
Soup players are all bros and usually hold interesting conversations throughout the duel.
Traptrix structure players are also common but they're a mixed bunch. You can find all sorts of people from all walks of life playing that.
Marincess and Salamangreat don't need to play it at 3. Code Talkers, Mathmech and @Ignister are basically all the same pile decks doing the same thing because they all play the mathmech engine. And no one cares about G Golem
Because its less predictable. Master 5~2 is nearly all meta decks. Diamond is the fricking wild west full of all kinds of random bullshit you can't plan for. Every game in Diamond is a coinflip.

VS doesn't have a problem with going first, floodgates don't help it to fix that at all, it's just winmore shit. This is nothing but some made up nonsense to generate (you)s. VS is mediocre because sometimes it just fricking loses to itself because it can't generate the advantage it needs or doesn't open Razen. And it's mediocre in formats where the handtraps it plays are bad.
Tear format is a pretty good example. Ash is bad in MD any format where it's only good for Maxx C. That doesn't change the fact that when the non-Fire, Dark, Earth handtraps like Ogre, Nib, Veiler, etc are better you're at a different disadvantage if you play them or if you don't. You play more handtraps than Ash and Maxx C in VS.

Me and my friend are avid cyclists and duelists. We came up with a really REALLY moronic idea. We pick a 20km lap on zwift and duel on ygoomega. For every LP you lose, your power gets limited on the bike.
Whoever finishes the lap or gets their opponents life points to 0 first wins. Now I have to figure a way to program this....

Let's see, here's a few impressions.
I met a floo player who was so unwashed and stunk so badly it was difficult to concentrate on the duel and it wasn't even me who was dueling him.
The hobby store's administrator plays his own brew of D/D/D, fully blinged out, and he's a beast with it. He's also a cool dude.
Swordsoul and branded players are plentiful and run-of-the-mill, and they all seem to have that thousand-yard stare even when playing, as if they aren't really there mentally. Makes me wonder if they're all high simultaneously or something.
Soup players are all bros and usually hold interesting conversations throughout the duel.
Traptrix structure players are also common but they're a mixed bunch. You can find all sorts of people from all walks of life playing that.
Marincess and Salamangreat don't need to play it at 3. Code Talkers, Mathmech and @Ignister are basically all the same pile decks doing the same thing because they all play the mathmech engine. And no one cares about G Golem

Tear format is a pretty good example. Ash is bad in MD any format where it's only good for Maxx C. That doesn't change the fact that when the non-Fire, Dark, Earth handtraps like Ogre, Nib, Veiler, etc are better you're at a different disadvantage if you play them or if you don't. Runick needs the Hugin discard to get rid of any Blessings or Sunflowers in hand, with only 1 discard the deck is dead
Naturia runick is centered around abusing the Runick cards for-cost discard outlet to get value out of drawn mole crickets and sacred trees. With fountain to 1, it becomes a hard garnet for the deck, cannot discard more than once ever, and you cannot chain block the fountain draws making it incredibly frail. It goes from rogue to meme tier.
You don't usually use multiple fountains t1 in naturia runick unless you hard open one.
