the first few post-miura chapters were pretty bad, but the last 2 or 3 are getting better. Some of the character designs are actually a lot better, they shrunk back griffith and farnese's lips at least, and puck isn't a chestnut anymore. And the entire boat return arc was offscreened.

Its a new weapon type according to miyazaki so all brand new moveset; r1s, r2s, power stance, jumping attacks, the whole shebang (probably no "2 handed though as both current fist weapon classes dont have them, when you try you get the power stance moveset instead). Also there is an ancient leak that found the partial moveset in the code and it had a projectile, so expect a hadouken somewhere in there.

It's a masterpiece made by two legitimate masters of their craft, but it's also very, very much an "art" movie. I'd recommend watching it, but you need to go into it with the mindset that it's not a common movie, but rather an emotionally evocative art piece.

This one theater a city away from me periodically airs anime in 70mm, and there was an Angel's Egg screening maybe a full decade ago that I passed on because I thought it looked dreary. if this really pisses you off then do a dragon communion build. it's the best way to fight giant enemies. the range on the named dragon breaths is insane. between fire, ice, and rot breaths you can comfortable kill any giant enemy in the game. even ignoring the damage it feels better because you're attacking their main body instead of their extremities

MonHun actually designs their bossfights so the weakpoints come closer to you depending on your positioning, DD lets you access the weakpoints in a bunch of other unique ways.
Yeah I tried ranged in FROM games (Bows, magic) but Melee is still the most fun and most involved way to play.
FROM should just stick to 12' max height for their bosses, it's what they do best.

I understand both sentiment and i do partially share them, giants enemies just dont tend to be fun to fight, but they need to be here for variety sake, like a couple of gimmick fights. Its not what they do best but it helps keeping the game fresh
Speaking of gimmick fights, i feel like both Divine Dragon 2nd phase and Rykard are both really fun giant fights (both involve you getting super anime powers to hit the boss funnily enough)

My favorite big boss in the series is Ludwig, especially the first phase mechanically as you are encouraged to hit both the head, wound, and under it depending on the situation. The 2nd phase is pretty different and is cool narratively but he folds heavily if you’re on-level during that point since you get two free ripostes. Still it ends up being one of the best fights in the series, Ebrietas is just ok because hitting her tentacles is so easy that hitting her head for the insane damage is just a bonus rather than an encouragement. Midir is a above her for that alone (and a slightly better charge forward attack) though I don’t like Midir’s 2nd phase because he spams the same move over and over.
Im more or less the same on everything you said, except my favorite big boss (and souls in general) is still Manus with Ludwig as close 2nd, though i would not consider Ludwig or Ebrietal TRUE big bosses, like they are still decent in scale. Midir is a big boss but since you are only aiming at his head he feels smaller to fight than he really is.
A really big boss in BB would be Amygadala or the One Reborn.

All giant bosses in Souls games are equally designed around this. You just don't see it because you are incompetent and inexperienced.
Fortissax, Lansseax and all kinds of deagons except Placidusax will regularly expose the head when in recovery from several attacks or stagger through multiple hits and and fall down, Fire Giant uses the immense arena to have an actually novel idea and have the giant boss specifically put some distance and fire projectiles himself, which you can throw off and avoid with the added mobility of Torrent, keeping pressure allows a critical on his chest, trolls expose the head regularly during attacks which can cause immediate stagger >I'm just tired of smacking asses with no other recourse as a meleegay.
There's nothing better than clapping cheeks while you are actually playing around hitboxes, if you think that's lame that fights aren't shitty climbing gimmicks you are a secondary that misunterstood the series entirely.

Fighting Cyclops in DD is a formulaic, boring experience entirely reliant on its eye weakpoint gimmick.
Fighting Stray Demon is completely unique experience for various playstyles, with casters winding up spells while making it whiff long ranger melee attacks, but being constrained by the arena, and fighters rely on the limited tracking to throw off melee attacks, but have to watch out for its AoE and explosions.
The fact that you think Stray Demon is a bad boss shows you lack the understanding of what makea a boss good.

Unreliable narrator, but that doesn't really fit in here. Book of the New Sun is a good example of a Souls esque literary work, where you have to piece certain things to get the full breadth of it.
The writer leaves leaves a bunch of pieces of the floor and leave it up to the reader/player's intuition to piece it together. Then when the player realize half the puzzles are missing and rest aren't in the same size they fill in the blanks themselves and then ask the author if its correct. The author answers "I don't know", which either can leave you feeling content you created your own canon or immensly unsatisfied because you enjoy conclusions to a story.
Unlike Sekiro which is carefully formulated for you to always have the tools to make it through each fight, it actually has wildly different builds and is largely nonlinear so there's no easy answer to that

the new soldiers might share the moveset (aka be a reskin) of the faction ones though as they have spears and greataxes, the latter could act the same as the greatsword or warpick from the base game, completely new armor though as you can see here

Its a new weapon type according to miyazaki so all brand new moveset; r1s, r2s, power stance, jumping attacks, the whole shebang (probably no "2 handed though as both current fist weapon classes dont have them, when you try you get the power stance moveset instead). Also there is an ancient leak that found the partial moveset in the code and it had a projectile, so expect a hadouken somewhere in there.

MonHun actually designs their bossfights so the weakpoints come closer to you depending on your positioning, DD lets you access the weakpoints in a bunch of other unique ways.

I understand both sentiment and i do partially share them, giants enemies just dont tend to be fun to fight, but they need to be here for variety sake, like a couple of gimmick fights. Its not what they do best but it helps keeping the game fresh
Speaking of gimmick fights, i feel like both Divine Dragon 2nd phase and Rykard are both really fun giant fights (both involve you getting super anime powers to hit the boss funnily enough)

Im more or less the same on everything you said, except my favorite big boss (and souls in general) is still Manus with Ludwig as close 2nd, though i would not consider Ludwig or Ebrietal TRUE big bosses, like they are still decent in scale. Midir is a big boss but since you are only aiming at his head he feels smaller to fight than he really is.
A really big boss in BB would be Amygadala or the One Reborn.
I did mention, super power action games tend to have easier time making big bosses because of your anime powers.
My favorite big boss in the series is Ludwig, especially the first phase mechanically as you are encouraged to hit both the head, wound, and under it depending on the situation. The 2nd phase is pretty different and is cool narratively but he folds heavily if you’re on-level during that point since you get two free ripostes. Still it ends up being one of the best fights in the series, Ebrietas is just ok because hitting her tentacles is so easy that hitting her head for the insane damage is just a bonus rather than an encouragement. My friend said that before he got patched, his gravity orbs (collapsing stars iirc) in phase 2 would one shot you, and his hitboxes were bigger than they seemed visually. Not a hard move to dodge, and the latter being fixed is a good thing.
