There will be 3 chapters, with last one having two variants based on your choices in chapter 2. The game is supposed to be released this year and there are monthly updates on the game's steam page showing some snippets of content to come.
I haven't heard anything about this, and I can't see anything in the steam page so I'm going to assume fake.

Neither am I and I loved it, for what it's worth. It doesn't have any of the things I dislike in a VN, it doesn't drag on, the choices are obvious and meaningful, and you don't have to play it more than once to get the ending you want.
