I dont want to just ignore every system. I want to upgrade shit and I get punished for it. I got a free ship from the white dude in the lodge but it's a C type and I'm still stuck with the OG ship waiting to get enough ship kills to get the licenses and my cargo is always so full I can't even put repair parts for my ship in there and have to 1 life every space battle. end rant.

The only logical conclusion why people hate starfield is because it's a great game and they hate to see it succeed. If it was a shit mid game, there wouldnt be anymore threads about it especially after this long after it came out.
The setting was the game's biggest letdown. They could have done so much better. There's a bunch of planets with aliens but no intelligent lifeforms not even at Gorilla level. Even if they didn't want to include sentient aliens, why not include Androids, Cyborgs, mutated humans from radiation on new planets, more A.I. stuff to interreact with. Not even mechs are allowed to be used. Those things would be overlooked if the main cast were interesting, but they aren't.
The game amazingly is less fun than Skyrim.
