Wrong, IV used to be IIII in ye olde latin.
IIII was used back in the day for 4. It's a numerical notation based on math, so 1+1+1+1 = 4, 5-1 = 4, 10 - 5 - 1 = 4 are all correct. IV only came later when it was appropriated by elitist academics.

D3 has something called DPS and Zero DPS with no inbetween.
Its a downgrade, but it can be fun if you lower your expectations. Its more arcadey and more casulized, but it has one of the best couch coop modes in modern videogame history. If you are planning to play Diablo 3, you better play the console version.

I really got into season 2, but i doubt i'll play season 3
diablo 4 is gonna be an every other season type game for me because there's not enough variety,
I feel the same way. I got enough out of the game at this point that they'd have to do something significantly different in a season to get me to dedicate a ton more time to it. I might make a new character and frick around with a class I haven't really played yet, but I have 2 level 100 characters with near perfect gear, beat Uber Lillith and all the Season 2 bosses. There's just nothing worthwhile until an expansion hits.

Its horribly low res and is painful to look at most of the time. The npc dialogue system sucks. Combat is really fricking dull with this click on 1000 npcs in a level to get them to explode and drop a coin or two.

In terms of player numbers, absolutely. In the end it doesn't matter though since the remaining 10% or less are far more likely to be buying the battle passes, cosmetics, and other pigslop on the eshop. Just like WoW, 20 years later with a fraction of a fraction of its peak player count but making just as much if not more money since it just needs pigs.

I don't know what this means in reference to games.
Every couple months they add then replace some content in the game. In D4 it's like this
>You choose to play a seasonal character or eternal realm character. The seasonal character gets the seasonal events and plays with other people on seasonal realm. End of the season your seasonal characters get moved to eternal realm.
>Current season is "Season of Blood" which has a few new enemies, a couple story quests, and new mechanics.
>Season of Blood mechanics are that zones can turn into a "blood harvest" zone where you can do little events for xp and blood points. The blood points can be spent on loot or a new skill tree system where you level up the bonuses/equipment etc.
I'm too lazy to write every little bit of it up, but basically you get some more farming and overpowered skills, they roll out the next one and you need to do it all over again.

I haven't gotten a character past lvl40 because shits so boring, enemy scaling is dumb and itemization is shit

Correct, half the item perks on yellows and oranges are useless or make such a minor difference that it's barely noticeable. FFS Blizzard why do we need:

>+ Damage on Injured
>+ % Damage for EVERY ELEMENT
>+ % Physical Damage
Like Jesus Christ, just make two bonus damage stats for elemental or physical. That's it. Who decided this was a good idea.
