I think from the 3080 and up, they cause 600w transient power spikes for 2 secs so tech illiterates don't really know its happening until their PC crashes.

This is why I always use a psu with way more power than I need.

Weren't they making new PSU's that could handle this?

As long as the average remains the same, I am fine.

      >What? "Research my purchase"? What are you, a gay? Everyone knows you just buy Nvidia EVGA cards. That way you never have a problem.

lol ironic that it was EVGA 3090's exploding from running some meme game.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: I don't care about power efficiency. That's not a "feature" for me.

Who's going to buy a 4090 for gaming, are you moronic?

AMD is pretty good, just slower this gen in raytracing. I think RDNA3 is going to be a banger.

man there's really no reason to buy an nvidia gpu right now
the 6800XT is 200$ cheaper than the 3080 while being better

    it's insane
nvidia are going to lose their gpu monopoly like intel lost the cpu one to AMD

      >But muh Nvidia drivers and upscaleling meme
Hopefully Intel can gain a footing so that green team doesn't control 80% of the fricking market.
