I haven't been "online" on Steam in 5 years

people forget that tencent is literally an investment company. they own preference shares in basically everything https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tencent
I have nothing else I would want to buy on game pass and I still play fallout 4 to this day so I'd be paying essentially 1200 dollars for ten years of gameplay instead of 70 if I went with gamepass instead of buying it outright
Lies of P and Payday 3 are there as well. I'm not shilling you yo get it but i think gamepass (free month) saved me from wasting money on a lot of bullshit.

You do. You have discounts if you buy then but i think steam sales may be better if you wait. I think it's good for testing stuff you're on the fence about and games that you don't come back to. Like indie shit. You just cancel when you're done. Starfield alone would cost several months worth of subscription and there's plenty more than that to play.

>You just cancel when you're done
that's the problem. I play bethesda games all the time for years/decades. You can't just play it for a month and throw it away

It’ll go on sale this winter. Ideally wait until Bethesda does content update and releases the DLC next year and then get it on sale. With the current state of the game you’ll either love it or hate it depending on how you happen to do the content

Well you shouldn't get gamepass for one game. The value i see are on all the other games you can try. After i'm done with Starfield I'll renew for a month at best and wait for the complete edition, try again and buy if it's fixed. Ignore if it's not. If you waste thousand of hours on it you definitely should buy it. Again, i see it just as an alternative to pirating to test stuff out.

Sea of Stars was on gamepass this past month as well, and Cocoon just came out yesterday and is pretty cool so far
why would anyone actually buy the game when you get just get it on gamepass?
don't try to explain to morons why subscription services are a scam
if they really were such AMAZING DEALS, why do you think all the companies are pushing for their own and releasing games through them? because they hate money?
Super disingenuous considering Starfield is day 1 on gamepass.
The fact that so many people are paying $70 for a game they can play for 5 dollars shows how big of a success it is.
I can tell starfield is shit because I've never once seen an organic thread of people just talking about what they enjoy about it.
It's ALWAYS just fanboys/shills/trolls/bots saying "it's good" with no reasons why, and then spending the rest of their post (and the thread at large) attacking anyone who says otherwise by spamming that they're just moronic/filtered/reddit/sonyfanboy/etc.
>fanboys
no, this is just the only way autists and zoomers make threads on Ganker or Ganker as a whole. Everything has to be bait or rage or both.

This, this right here is THE pinnacle, archetypical, definitive Starfield post.
This post was not written by a human. It was generated by an AI which was trained on Ganker posts and programmed to build of a database of "good" terms like "kino" and "based" and write a random positive sentence about the game utilizing these terms, and then build a parallel database of "bad" terms like "seethe" and "sonyshit", and generate a second negative sentence about people who criticize the game, then automatically post the 2 sentences together in any thread that the bot registered as starfield related.
Just like starfield itself, it is procedurally generated for the purpose of minimizing costs and effort and maximizing returns.
Isn't it already statistically confirmed that it's their least successful game in years? I thought I read that somewhere but maybe I'm wrong. Regardless, I haven't played it and don't plan to.
because fallout 76 has had multiple free weekends?
Fallout 76 is massive moneymaker long with ESO, cope harder Black person
>bethesda confirms starfield to sell more than any other game they've made >"Fallout 76 is massive moneymaker long with ESO, cope harder Black person"
both can be true, ESL
I don't know what they count and don't really care
all I'm saying is that fallout 76 being a "massive moneymaker" doesn't in any way stop them from also making money on starfield
if a game as shitty as FO76 can make tons of money then all the better for them
>Regardless, I haven't played it and don't plan to
Just pirate it after it's fully patched(will probably be 3 years considering Bethesda's history) and it has all the downloadable content. The starship construction and combat has a lot of potential, so maybe a shit-load of patches will improve that? It's worth a pirate if that happens.
the game has gone down in history as a success, one mods arrive it will be the definitive white man's experience. only poorgays 3rdworlders who can't run the game shat on it.
>Fallout 3: Overseer orders to kill you and your father, Vault is on lockdown >Skyrim: You're about to be executed when a Dragon attacks and kills everyone >Fallout 4: Kellog kills your wife and kidnaps your son >Starfield: You touched a thing, here have a free spaceship
Starfield has the worst, most non-committal throwaway opening in a Bethesda game, completely fricking flat story hook with 0 conflict that is also paced like it's late for work. Is Todd unironically a fricking 110 IQ midwit? How did he approve this? Someone from Microsoft needs to come on down there and tell Todd in no uncertain terms he can't put Emil in charge of writing their games anymore, because the writing is reaching self-parody levels at this point
>people complain how their previous games have too high a stake for the MSQ and force you to do a railroaded role in a RPG. >starfield gives you a ship and the constellation isnt really saving the world or doing anything other than discover artifacts so you're free to go out and do whatever you want and roleplay whatever you want
>you're free to go out and do whatever you want and roleplay whatever you want >roleplay
You're not "roleplaying" anything in Starfield. You're always the same murderhobo dusty no matter what background you pick. I picked the Professor background for my character and the only time it got mentioned was by the woman mining supervisor in the opening in a single throwaway line. I went straight to Constellation after the opening and Sarah talked like my character was some shady murderhobo, and the word "dusty" was used 4 times in that dialogue, including once by myself, a Professor.
So much anger lol you wannabe incel influencer types are hilarious
no it's the games problem, I picked a trucker. and it literally means nothing. I picked wanted and that became annoying.
there is no roleplay because game is on rails, it's linear and you cannot even talk your way our if a fight in majority of situations. space cowboys are the worst in this scenario, it's literally go there murder these people quest line. and I couldn't even play judge dress because I cannot throw people into jail even if they have commited crimes. what the frick.
My dream game is basically what Starfield tries and fails at. So i push forward but now im just trying to finish the main story hopping from loading screen to another. I'm done.
To elaborate: exploration is non-existent, resource gathering is pain, loot system is a joke, the music sucks ass, the companions are all the same and most of the game is just jumping from one quest to the next.
It's extremely small and has almost no quests. The few it has are all fetch, kill or fetch and kill quests. Three "big cities" and a handful of small towns. You instaport between them all.
You finish the game and it just starts over and you do the same exact quests again, and they really don't have the kind of variety to make them interesting twice.
I'm just hoping for the Star Wars total conversion mod with hand modelled planets so I can build a house on Kashyyyk.
When you find all the artifacts the game just restart. In theory it would mean you know everything that will happen, but your character mostly just acts like he's oblivious to this.
>but your character mostly just acts like he's oblivious to this
that's an absolute lie. you can tell everyone right away you're a starborn and even if you go for the "pretending not to know" option you have dialog options constantly where you can still use your foresight to change conversations.
No he's right, there could have been am amazing noel automata level of nuance and quest design based around going through the game again.
But outside of the main quest auto complete the Starborn options are usually just a throw away line in the initial quest introduction convo. I think there are a few examples of it allowing you to skip persuasion checks.
I'd actually be fine if they just did more writing allowing some fun discussion on the starborn conversations whilst keeping the quests the same.
>literally no one cares about
because you don't play games and judge a game's popularity based on how many Ganker posts you see.
yes, the seething zoomies moved on to the next flavor of the week. the amount of posts went down drastically. they were never the ones playing the game.
This game really reminds me of Mass Effect Andromeda with everything I've seen. Terrible graphics. Terrible animations. Glitchy and buggy. Bullet sponge enemies. Totally dull and bland story. moronic "exploration". Too bad Mass Effect didn't have as many braindead stans from India, Mexico, and Japan to help shill it as hard as Starfield got shilled.
>land on moon in a level 10 zone >find frozen lab facility >clear it out
Oh, that's neat, I can't wait to see what other mysteries I can uncover on different plan-
>fly 8 star systems away to a level 15 zone not even 1 hour later >land on moon >find the same fricking frozen lab with all the same enemy placements, items and contraband cache outside >immersion broken, realize this is going to be the whole game outside of the main quest >stop playing
There is the main quest, four faction questlines, and a smattering of other worthwhile quests scattered across the star systems.
It'll be 60 hours before you ever need to touch proc gen content, and you can be like me and just put the game down until the DLC comes out.
It's about the terramorphs, he finds out what makes terramorphs, kills everyone else that knows, purposefully creates and releases terramorphs to attack and kill other people so he can bring about awareness of terramorphs so they can be stopped.
He planned it so that his daughter would figure out how to solve the issue and then redeem the Sonon name. You have several chances to tell Hadrian each time with a different response depending on which quest stage. The last chance is when you finally get the truth out of VV
It's moronic because at any point anyone could investigate and find out first, like the player. He could have resolved it himself instead he just literally makes everything worse.
No one had any proof until you found the records by by pure chance. He found a way coordinate with Orlase while under the watch of the UC security and they were none the wiser

>No one had any proof until you found the records by by pure chance
Even if there was no definitive proof, he would be the most likely suspect. It's obvious that it should be some kind of inside job. But he is protected by several layers of UC moronation >nobody monitors him >nobody records his conversations with visitors (he openly spills the beans and tells his plan to the player with no worries) >nobody checks what the frick he is even doing and ordering his team
This is literally just trope "wow that guy is so smart he is pulling all the strings from behind the bars because rule of cool", but they are playing it out completely unironically with straight face.
The entire thing is moronic.
He Nukes a site from Orbit so the knowledge doesn't get out.
And then he uses the knowledge to setup the attacks that he fears the knowledge might cause.
And the Quest ends with everyone now knowing how to cause the attacks.
The 2 Cures are so moronic its unreal.
Some big fkn Alien that eats the Terrormorphs but doesn't care about people... so what are these giants gone eat when there are no more Terrormorphs...
Not to mention that it eating the TM's implies its WAY more dangerous.
Or we make a super Virus that can just mutate and kill whatever.
After all that, my question is how was there NEVER ANY mention of Terrormorphs before that?
I also never saw any.
maybe they need to hire some then? I don't know blr do I care but this shit needs to change. it's like they create stories for children. but special children without special awareness.
They have quest designers that do the writing but the result is schizophrenic as you can have a quest that's better written than anything else in baldur's gate 3 for example and then the next quest you do is incredibly moronic and some of the worst writing you'll see. This is why people praise the writing of the game as incredible and why people shit on it saying it has awful writing. It really depends on which one you encounter.
I did play the story and all the factions but crimson fleet. there is not one ounce of good writing. everything is always undermined making it all make no sense in the end. just awful.
All the main factions are good and they probably had time to sit down with editors. The rest are hit are miss. You had some gems like the Ebbside Strikers were you can list all of your qualifications and the more accomplishments you had the sillier the situation becomes which even the NPCs acknowledge and then you had LIST which ends in a big fat nothing before it even begins
>All the main factions are good.
You can't be serious. What's the actual difference between the FreeStar Collective and The United Colonies? There's no substantive rationale for why the two factions are separate. They both seem to have all the same contemporary 2020s America values. I could not suspend disbelief that these two factions fought a brutal war just a couple of decades before. They almost never interact throughout the entire game, and there's nothing substantial that differentiates the two. I came across the Altair questline where a bunch of UC and Freestar soldiers are trapped by spacers, and they just become friends by the end of it.

They don't. The museum, although biased makes it pretty clear. Freestar is a collective while UC is basically fascist. They prefer different forms of government. > I could not suspend disbelief that these two factions fought a brutal war just a couple of decades before. They almost never interact throughout the entire game, and there's nothing substantial that differentiates the two.
Freestar lets corporations run their colonies however they see fit while the UC has regulations upon regulations. You see the differences in approach via Ranger Questline and quests like Red Tape Blues. The peace treaty was signed 20 years ago and people still make disparaging remarks towards another. > I came across the Altair questline where a bunch of UC and Freestar soldiers are trapped by spacers, and they just become friends by the end of it.
Because the UC lady decided to put her own judgement above the minimum duty and whatever grudges may have been held. Everyone else, even her lieutenant was reluctant to help and here glad to make it out alive and gained new perspective.

Correction there was also that lone white UC marine who was eager to cooperate. You get additional dialogue showing surprise and relief if you earned your ranger badge too. I thought it was an overall nice quest even if the message was really hammy

You're insulted from both sides though. I just don't see anything special in that whole questline. It's all macguffins. They introduce characters and do nothing with them. They are there for one quest and could be replaced with generic npcs for how little they actually affect the flow of the quest. They can come back in the end but again, irrelevant as far as impact goes. Characters just have boring personalities all around. The drunk chick could be interesting but no, she's there for a few dialogues. The only personality they know to apply is being a c**t to the player.

It gets really grating when nothing you have the option of saying to them is ever fricking good enough. They always throw it back in your face, constantly, every time. They try to play it all loose and quirky and "friendly ribbing" with eahcother but are absolute c**ts otherwise. Only Delgado seems to have any faith in you and that's only because you deliver results, he's still a dick. Naeva is a c**t through and through and it's a mystery why she puts you forward as a recruit when she thinks you're worthless dogshit that can't do anything right the second you meet Delgado and become his errand boy.

WTF was Todd thinking!? It's like TES with only Imperials!
The last update fricked this game for me, it crashes every couple hours. It's like it can't keep up with remembering all the completed activities, vendor stock, item locations and it gets worse and worse the more I play.
(Series S btw)
This didn't happen before the update, I wonder if it is linked to removing all the vendor chests.
Yes, its even worse than fallout 4. Biggest offense is how fricking boring and uninspired everything is. 15 year old outdated gameplay doesnt help it either.

This is like 80% of the content in the game. Nothing ever happens
She’s surprised because she sent you on a wild goose chase though ever and you managed to find pure platinum. That’s the minority of quests unless you do radiants
I honestly thought you were going to talk about the mining head manager guy's quest where he wants to order new tools and has you meet some of the most shitty surface level character caricatures ever written, but then unfortunately that type of character writing is prevalent across the entire game.
Now that it's been out for a few weeks I looked up a few mods and I'll play it now. I really enjoyed that first day where I fired it up for just 2 hours and admired the visuals and poked around a little.
Now that I got pic related mods that fix things I would complain about, I think I can maximize my enjoyment of this game.

guess again moron, theres multiple threads here daily with snoys seething over it and /stag/ is consistently one of the top threads on /VG/
Still can't believe they touted this as an "exploration game" when the only things you can "explore" have already obviously been explored. If you land on some planet and all the treasure you can come up with are old boots and empty beer cans from an abandoned mining facility, well that's not exactly "the final frontier" now is it? The height of Toddslop thinking.
>Kek, is this possibly the worst Bethesda game ever?
Yep, they literally gutted everything that made their previous games a fun sandbox. Mods will save it but not for 6+ months so we can all stop talking about this absolute abortion until then.
>Mods will save it
No they won't and they won't save TES6 either. Todd's legacy will be shattered before retiring ignominiously. Shoulda gone on autopilot after Skyrim and taken the FNV pill and farmed out Bethsoft IPs to studios not run by brain rotted "idea guys" and diversity hires.
You're right they gutted everything that made their games special yet somehow people are both defending and criticizing the game as "it's a bethesda game what did you expect"
It is just bery bland, bland environment, no violence, no humour, nothing but AI designed writing, copy pasted enemies (worse than Ubisoft game), no real RPG mechanics - no builds, just "stealth" and shooting with the same fricking guns... Every single location has been pretty much made from the same copy pasted assets (like every space station/housing, populated with same copy pasted small clutter etc). Plus it runs like ass.
It's 6/10 most and I do wonder why I wasted 100ish hours for this.
People are blind and moronic if they can't see this.

list goes on, there are DOZEN terrrible design decisions in this game and some are there only to stretch out the playtime
Serious question, why arent shills banned on sight?
Is Hiroshimoot taking a cut? This low effort shitposting and shilling kills any kind of actual video game discussion
Yes. As much as I think Oblivion is heavily flawed it's still better than Starfield. Bethesda made a "Bethesda game" without all of the things that people like about their games. Instead of traversing worlds with interesting landmarks you're constantly in and out of fast travel and landing screens. Every single discoverable thing in Starfield is shamelessly copy pasted. Meaning every single abandoned mine is the exact same, every single abandoned UC station is the exact same, etc. Instead of the player being pulled into the game world it pushes the player out by showing how artificial it is. You could realisitically land on the tutorial planet over and over again and see most of the what the """""""""""exploration""""""""""""" is going to offer you.
Skyrim is a pretty mediocre game but Bethesda at least got the world right, it also helps Skyrim that TES in general has very strong world building. Starfield's world building is actual dogshit. It's a space setting (yawn) with no sentient alien races like basic sci-fi. You're just a human, in a universe with other humans doing human shit. On top of this the world of Starfield is very sanitized, there is nothing exciting going on. The Skyrim tavern maid outfits are far more provocative than anything you'll find in Starfield. Even Neon, the supposed den of sex, crime, corruption, and all things dystopian is completely sanitized. It's just fricking boring.
I was pretty bored by Starfield to begin with. It doesn't make a good first impression.
But after completing some mainline missions, gained some abilities and got better weapons, the game really opens up. Seemingly random comments from NPCs snowball into huge sidequests.
Bethesda games are all predestined to be cult following games a few months after release, really only meant to be played by a select number of dorks, perverts and Asians once the modding scene starts to pick up.
The only time it gets interesting is in zero G.
Otherwise its just an ordinary shooter with braindead AI.
I can't believe how many times I've seen enemies trying to run through a closed door or shoot at me through bulletproof glass.
>exploration is pointless >the main story and side quests are dull >dialog is bland shit
After a few hours I stopped exploring and just focused on side quests because people were saying thats the best part of the game. I dropped it after 30 mind numbing hours hoping for it to get good.
>a game made by AI, marketed by AI, played by AI, and discussed by AI
Bravo Todd. A truly stunning cautionary art piece about the bleak, depressing future we are rapidly headed towards as corporation start adopting AI to do everything for them.
>the blandest most derivative piece of media I have ever seen
It was written and designed by a guy who's brainpower and creative ability is equivalent to the current stage of AI (wikipedia + autofill)
>I am 100% convinced this game was made by AIs, it the blandest most derivative piece of media I have ever seen
It definitely was
not just the writing and art
but the whole thing
all the horrible incoherent design choices were part of the directive
Hey, we are in a spaceship in space. Let's "fly" to that planet. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
We are in orbit around the planet. We can't explore the planet?! We can only land in the one and only city on the planet?! Fine. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Well, the game landed the ship for us. Let's get out of the ship. >*cut scene of exiting the wienerpit to hide the loading screen*
Okay, let's click the ladder to leave the ship. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Well, let's walk around the city. Oh, here's a building. Let's go in. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go up to floor two. No stairs? Here's an elevator. Let's go in. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
On floor two now. Nothing to see here. Let's leave this building. Back in the elevator. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
On floor one now. Let's click the door to leave. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Maybe there is something to do somewhere else. Hey, here's a train. Let's get in. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Okay. Another area of the city. More buildings to click to go in. Nah, let's leave this planet. Back to the train. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's walk to our ship. Click the ladder again to enter the ship. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go to the wienerpit. Click the chair. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's ascend. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go to another planet. >*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
So, fast travel is the only way to travel in this game? There is no driving or any actual flying, landing, or ascending? There are world cell loading all over the place? Frick this, Bethesda.

I would. Fallout 76 has a story with very coherent stakes that are explained to you right away, and not every character is some fricking homosexual with two dads who can only speak in sarcastic Reddit speak
Fallout 76 wasn't developed by Todd and Emil, so it actually has a coherent story, great characters like MODUS, and a great map for exploration. Also, unlike Starfield, it's actually fun to play.
I think Stawrfield is basically a vastly superior Fallout 4, but it still lacks the magnetism of Skyrim. Why is that? Is it the music? Something about the exploration?
I don't got to markers on planets anymore unless it is for surveying, because of how often they repeat. They all have the same layout without any unique story beats. I'd buy a $30 DLC if it tripled the number of planetary set pieces and added some randomization to the layout, contents, and lore of each.
>Stumble into cave and IT'S THE WOLF QUEEN TRYING TO BRING HERSELF BACK TO LIFE TO CONQUER THE WORLD! >Stumble into a cave and IT'S A DOOMED EXPEDIITION PICKED APART BY ELDRITCH HORRORS! >Stumble into a cave and IT'S A SPIRIT WHO NEEDS HELP KEEPING A LICH SEALED WITH BLOOD MAGIC! >Stumble into a cave and IT'S AN ANCIENT STEAMPUNK METROPOLIS!
Where are the set piece alien hives, rogue AI self replicating paperclip factories, corrupted terraforming orbital mirrors scarring swathes of dead worlds? They had the perfect system for giving us the exploration of Skyrim without needing to put everything into a cave (size of their worlds and all that) and they built like 3 buildings that they copy and paste a hundred thousand times.
I like the game, but I'm worried that no mod nor DLC will take advantage of the system they created. They'll probably just put in 12 more start systems with the same cookie cutter set pieces and call it a DLC, despite that practically adding nothing to the game. The sense of scale was achieved and is now saturated, we just need some engaging complexity added to the scale.
>Where are the set piece alien hives, rogue AI self replicating paperclip factories, corrupted terraforming orbital mirrors scarring swathes of dead worlds?
Making any of that would require work though. And work requires hiring more competent devs for longer periods of times, which requires spending more money, which means less money for the shareholders.
So why not instead just do the laziest thing possible and just bet on the average consumer being too moronic to have any tolerance for shit?

>same blah blah blah
Why are you here? I brought up a specific complaint and you are railing against the game at large. Just leave. You obviously didn't buy the game and therefore your opinion doesn't matter, nor is there any reason to even be in the presence of people who spend more of their time justifying what they don't do than what they do do.

Some people just want to be mad about things. Just let them vent.
I can't find the anon who said it earlier, but they are right.. I have never seen anyone who likes the game say what makes the game fun. These threads are hilarious
>The same game just worst now and more dumb and generic. >Oh My Heckin so¥cience >Oh My Heckin chosen one. >OH my heckin essential NPCs worst than even fallout 4 and Skyrim. >no Gore or dismemberment tame kids shit worst than even Skyrim >Looting is worse than fallout 4 or Skyrim you can't loot the bodies completely. >No radio or something like it >Blood look Shit >the modding scene is still barebone no creation kit wait for next year so no good overhaul or worthwhile mods . >wants to swim underneath you can't wants a fov you need a mod for that.. there's none in the game. >The least we talk about the NPC looks and there dialogue the better.
Rajeetbackfield is a discount dollar store market version of fallout 4 with the le HECKIN wholesome Big chunges powers of the dragonborn as the Main quest to get mind you still a discount version of that too so you can shout like a raped b***h in the ng+ in the same cave in the same empty planet just a different name now while doing the same 100th fetch quest after that same 100th radiant quest while you fighting Le HECKIN Epic same moon bandit [ "spacers" "pirates"] over and over again in the same empty planet in the same building or ship just a different name now.
>homosexual Shitskin thinks I'm a zoomer Black person homosexual
Radio or not this GAME is Shit and what I wrote about it above is a factual criticism of it now Frick off and go shit on someone street and don't forget to drink your cow god dang and it pee subhuman bugthesda drone.
It wasn't unironic.
The old saying " You shouldn't pretend to be fools because it will attract people who think they are in good company" has come true.
The game really feels shallow. They let you go anywhere and do anything you want early on, but it seems like they only designed a few big arc side quests, the majority of the universe is just the same few copy pasted locations with a different skybox and random plants tossed in. You can go to a hundred different planets and see the same UC Listening post, the same abandoned barracks, the exact same crashed ship debris, the same medical research lab, the exact same cryo lab, and in all these locations the fricking loot containers and misc clutter is even in the exact same spots. Theres no variation. Theres never anything new. Once you've seen a POI one time there will never be anything new again outside of the specific scripted missions.
Its just a really, really dull game. Its going to take a total conversion mod to turn this into an interesting game.
Starkino has overwhemling critical acclaim and is massively successful.
Seethers are an irrelevant minority of sonyshits who can't do anything about it but screech on Ganker.
Where are the players?
>didn't even top Fallout 4s all time peak
Haha, oh my
>30 million GamePass subscribers
>wh-where could they be???
Do we know how many people bought Gamepass specifically for Starfield or is it just muh bajillion gamepass players cope?
where did they all go
GOOD MORNING SIRS. PLEASE REDEEM OF STARFIELDS! DO THE NEEDFUL.
on Xbox, duh
do they also use some sort of special x-internet which makes them invisible?
What about twitch? x-twitch so they are not displayed on twitch charts?
I haven't been "online" on Steam in 5 years
imagine not feeling the need to broadcast to the world what singleplayer game you're playing at any given moment. wild idea, right?
Baldur's Gate is popular among women just like Sims 4, so there is your answer
So it is a good game?
Do women like good games?
Is Sims 4 a good game?
No, to both of these.
Funny that because starfield is a base building simulator for the girls
i highly suspect some kind of frickery going on with the balls derp gay numbers
just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's some sort of judeo chinese conspiracy
who the frick would bot steam player numbers, for some podunk euro studio on top of it
>podunk euro studio
That Tencent owns 30% of, you mean
Black person they own 30% of every other thing, they probably own 30% of your mom.
and from what I've noticed tencent seems fairly hands-off in the way they handle their investments anyways.
Sure chang
people forget that tencent is literally an investment company. they own preference shares in basically everything https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tencent
Gamepass
why would anyone actually buy the game when you get just get it on gamepass?
I have nothing else I would want to buy on game pass and I still play fallout 4 to this day so I'd be paying essentially 1200 dollars for ten years of gameplay instead of 70 if I went with gamepass instead of buying it outright
Lies of P and Payday 3 are there as well. I'm not shilling you yo get it but i think gamepass (free month) saved me from wasting money on a lot of bullshit.
>Payday 3
not worth it, it's a downgrade in every way from peak payday 2
That's why i said it saved me money.
but you have to keep paying every month to play the game, right?
Sea of Stars was on gamepass this past month as well, and Cocoon just came out yesterday and is pretty cool so far
don't try to explain to morons why subscription services are a scam
if they really were such AMAZING DEALS, why do you think all the companies are pushing for their own and releasing games through them? because they hate money?
Can't wait it fall under Skyrim
CP all time is higher btw
I remember installing it only to get unstable 20 fps 720p, and then waiting for 4 hours in geforce now premium queue to play it lol
waiting on CK
space exploration is a high IQ genre, of course it will have less players than slop like fantasy racism 38 or bladerunner gta.
Super disingenuous considering Starfield is day 1 on gamepass.
The fact that so many people are paying $70 for a game they can play for 5 dollars shows how big of a success it is.
SARS???
Why noone searching for it on the internet as well? Why noone is watching it on twitch?
on the series X
my dad works at microsoft and he told me there's at least 6 tryllion people playing it on gamepass right now
trust me bro
Microsoft beat Valves monopoly. That's where.
Where?
Can you show us?
>critical acclaim
no-one cares about that
>massively successful
selling 700,000 turds doesnt hide the fact that you still sold turds
>critical acclaim
>n-n-no-one cares about that!
Bwahahahahaha classic Gankertroon cope. In 10 years time Starfield will still be remembered as a massive success, critically and commercially.
Please continue to screech on this hentai pedo board like the irrelevant knat shit you are.
> Starkino has overwhemling critical acclaim and is massively successful.
They rigged the reviews
Yes sir we all need to do the needful!
There are more people playing Cyberpunk rn
why all these starfield drones speaking broken english
same moron
I can tell starfield is shit because I've never once seen an organic thread of people just talking about what they enjoy about it.
It's ALWAYS just fanboys/shills/trolls/bots saying "it's good" with no reasons why, and then spending the rest of their post (and the thread at large) attacking anyone who says otherwise by spamming that they're just moronic/filtered/reddit/sonyfanboy/etc.
Case in point:
>fanboys
no, this is just the only way autists and zoomers make threads on Ganker or Ganker as a whole. Everything has to be bait or rage or both.
Next make a thread about Starfield vs Cyberpunk and include ESG and also AMD vs Intel.
500 posts guaranteed
>It's ALWAYS just fanboys
Yeah, everyone who isn't a flamboyant snoy is a fanboy!
Recount the story of the most enjoyable thing you've done so far in starfield then.
NTA, when he replies your response WILL be "that sounds stupid and doesn't count," or some variation of it.
>when he replies
When? He didn't
>critism?! muh snoy!!!
way to prove his point moron
90% of the people shitting on it are just jealous because they can't play it.
There is legitimate criticism of the game, but it's SUPER hard to find.
t. One of the seething Pajeet devs
You're an irrelevant baby. Continue seething on Ganker, there's nothing else you can do.

How is this allowed?
You are soulless corporate wienersucker.
Continue licking pajeet and israelite asses thats all you can do.
real player played the shit game for free since the day-7 before release and its been exposed as the boring mediocre shit that it is.
This post made me realized Microsoft has weaponized consolewar homosexualry. This place is fricked lol
where the frick have you been for the last 15 years
not in a microsoft corporate office, unlike you (shit bathing brown animal)
uh huh well since you're projecting your 3rd worldness let me tell you that console war homosexualry has been taking place since xbox 360/ps3 days and even before, especially on Ganker
please have a nice day tonight newbie
>sonyshits
What does that have to do with anything?
I kneel I kneel
needful: done
Isn't it already statistically confirmed that it's their least successful game in years? I thought I read that somewhere but maybe I'm wrong. Regardless, I haven't played it and don't plan to.
that would be fallout 76, starfield has been confirmed as their most successful game ever
Fallout 76 is massive moneymaker long with ESO, cope harder Black person
Why fallout 76 has more peak total players than starfield?
because fallout 76 has had multiple free weekends?
>bethesda confirms starfield to sell more than any other game they've made
>"Fallout 76 is massive moneymaker long with ESO, cope harder Black person"
both can be true, ESL
>gamepass is a sale
They are lying.
I don't know what they count and don't really care
all I'm saying is that fallout 76 being a "massive moneymaker" doesn't in any way stop them from also making money on starfield
if a game as shitty as FO76 can make tons of money then all the better for them
???
>Regardless, I haven't played it and don't plan to
Just pirate it after it's fully patched(will probably be 3 years considering Bethesda's history) and it has all the downloadable content. The starship construction and combat has a lot of potential, so maybe a shit-load of patches will improve that? It's worth a pirate if that happens.
>implying Bethesda ever patches their games to an acceptable state
you've only yourself to blame if you play their garbage
the user reviews are the lowest of any bethesda game, not the sales
the game has gone down in history as a success, one mods arrive it will be the definitive white man's experience. only poorgays 3rdworlders who can't run the game shat on it.
Does it bother you at all when you shit talk your own countrymen online for a few shekels?
We all have finished it.
there wasnt much of a finish
It's so fricking B O R I N G
>Fallout 3: Overseer orders to kill you and your father, Vault is on lockdown
>Skyrim: You're about to be executed when a Dragon attacks and kills everyone
>Fallout 4: Kellog kills your wife and kidnaps your son
>Starfield: You touched a thing, here have a free spaceship
This is not a bad thing.
>you're free to go out and do whatever you want and roleplay whatever you want
>roleplay
You're not "roleplaying" anything in Starfield. You're always the same murderhobo dusty no matter what background you pick. I picked the Professor background for my character and the only time it got mentioned was by the woman mining supervisor in the opening in a single throwaway line. I went straight to Constellation after the opening and Sarah talked like my character was some shady murderhobo, and the word "dusty" was used 4 times in that dialogue, including once by myself, a Professor.
meds but unironically
I was able to roleplay fine with my background, maybe it's your problem.
no it's the games problem, I picked a trucker. and it literally means nothing.
So much anger lol you wannabe incel influencer types are hilarious
Where is everyone? Why is noone playing it?
Sirs and Juan are enjoying the Kinofield. Redeemed
>Japan likes Starfield
OWARI DA
BG3 hasn't been translated to Japanese, it isn't out there yet.
>Japan like Starfield more
I kneel.
>Red has more people living in it
>2 weeks
Uh, 4 weeks, or 5 for people that had the head start.
>Play for two hours
>Get bored and quit
Is it just people and their buyer's remorse forcing them to play this shit?
My dream game is basically what Starfield tries and fails at. So i push forward but now im just trying to finish the main story hopping from loading screen to another. I'm done.
As a certified bethesdrone with 125h played in Starfield I have to agree that it indeed is the worst Bethesda game ever.
To elaborate: exploration is non-existent, resource gathering is pain, loot system is a joke, the music sucks ass, the companions are all the same and most of the game is just jumping from one quest to the next.
You just described a bethesda game. You're waking up, drone.
Nah it's their best since mw
shut the frick up Fabio
Seethe harder moron
It's extremely small and has almost no quests. The few it has are all fetch, kill or fetch and kill quests. Three "big cities" and a handful of small towns. You instaport between them all.
You finish the game and it just starts over and you do the same exact quests again, and they really don't have the kind of variety to make them interesting twice.
I'm just hoping for the Star Wars total conversion mod with hand modelled planets so I can build a house on Kashyyyk.
Why are you made to play again? Is there lore behind it?
It's like they half committed to the idea.
>literally no one cares about
because you don't play games and judge a game's popularity based on how many Ganker posts you see.
yes, the seething zoomies moved on to the next flavor of the week. the amount of posts went down drastically. they were never the ones playing the game.
holy shit that's gringe, this has to be peak millenial writing
This game really reminds me of Mass Effect Andromeda with everything I've seen. Terrible graphics. Terrible animations. Glitchy and buggy. Bullet sponge enemies. Totally dull and bland story. moronic "exploration". Too bad Mass Effect didn't have as many braindead stans from India, Mexico, and Japan to help shill it as hard as Starfield got shilled.
>land on moon in a level 10 zone
>find frozen lab facility
>clear it out
Oh, that's neat, I can't wait to see what other mysteries I can uncover on different plan-
>fly 8 star systems away to a level 15 zone not even 1 hour later
>land on moon
>find the same fricking frozen lab with all the same enemy placements, items and contraband cache outside
>immersion broken, realize this is going to be the whole game outside of the main quest
>stop playing
There is the main quest, four faction questlines, and a smattering of other worthwhile quests scattered across the star systems.
It'll be 60 hours before you ever need to touch proc gen content, and you can be like me and just put the game down until the DLC comes out.
Ganker operates on the latest FOTM twitter drama and as such the second NEW THING releases or happens everyone forgets what happened last week.
NG+ was a mistake. The game is not deep enough to warrant that.
So what the frick was his master plan? You have to have below 10 IQ to not connect the dots.
literally nobody on Ganker knows what you are talking about
>open Ganker
>open a thread about the game
>nobody in the thread knows game's questlines
Figures.
welcome to Ganker
it's not for people who play games
But he is protected by several layers of UC moronation
>nobody monitors him
>nobody records his conversations with visitors (he openly spills the beans and tells his plan to the player with no worries)
>nobody checks what the frick he is even doing and ordering his team
I wanted an option to tell the Freestar Collective that they had been lied to by the UC and ignite a war.
He wants Hadrian to clean up his name and legacy by having her finishing off the terrormorph problem.
Probably something like creating synths to create synths to bamboozle you. You wont get it.
the more I think about the story the less it makes sense. Bethesda needs to fire it's writers.
officially Bethesda doesnt have any writers on their staff.
maybe they need to hire some then? I don't know blr do I care but this shit needs to change. it's like they create stories for children. but special children without special awareness.
They have quest designers that do the writing but the result is schizophrenic as you can have a quest that's better written than anything else in baldur's gate 3 for example and then the next quest you do is incredibly moronic and some of the worst writing you'll see. This is why people praise the writing of the game as incredible and why people shit on it saying it has awful writing. It really depends on which one you encounter.
I did play the story and all the factions but crimson fleet. there is not one ounce of good writing. everything is always undermined making it all make no sense in the end. just awful.
CF is abysmal
Everything in the game is abysmal and soulless. Is this really what Todd wanted to make all these years? I honestly find that hard to believe
>soulless
Nah the game is pure soul sonytroony. Shame you'll never play it.
https://streamable.com/ayfkzw
The one area of the game that is a 7/10. Congrats.
I came across the Altair questline where a bunch of UC and Freestar soldiers are trapped by spacers, and they just become friends by the end of it.
filtered midwit
>buzzwords
I accept your concession
>You can't be serious. What's the actual difference between the FreeStar Collective and The United Colonies? There's no substantive rationale for why the two factions are separate. They both seem to have all the same contemporary 2020s America values
The UC is basically the UN for some stupid reason they agreed people could start their own factions, Hence Freestar and Va'ruun.
It's UN + elements of fascism (not that it doesn't already exist in the UN). They even threw in the service guarantees citizenship and there are different classes of citizens of authority with judicial authority over others. The game isn't subtle about it.
>muh fascism
the UC is a utopia like starfleet in trek. there's no le ebil corporations/goverments except a few shady business deals. one thing I like the most about starfield is that it's set in a trek like utopia and not the same lame facist gov vs. rebels shit
UC is not a utopia
>Utopia
I don't think supposedly coming out of a full scale war with rampant piracy and smuggling including organ trading counts as an utopia. Even New Atlantis is miserable for people living underground.
>Utopia
>citizens are fat ugly mutts
lolololololol
There's a literal underside that's full of disenfranchised people.
Sounds like a communist utopia to me
>disenfranchised
they are just being edgy, anyone can get a job down there if they wanted
My Black person, go to the Well.
why do you frick faces keep calling the UC the USA? its quite obviously supposed to be the UN.
Because the game was written by morons and Starfield's entire setting is just 2020s America in Space, frickface
its the UN you moron
>its the UN
>It's UN + elements of fascism
There's no way your IQ is in the triple digits
There's no way your IQ is in the triple digits when you completely miss basic info the throws in your face.
Why people praise Crimson Fleet? I finished it last week and i can only dread what the rest is like if THAT was the best in the game. You're insulted all the way through.
Only if you're a mong if did the quest because you were arrested. If you do through the vanguard quest the Sysdef guy is nicer to you.
hey if you have a bounty they just start shooting
You're insulted from both sides though. I just don't see anything special in that whole questline. It's all macguffins. They introduce characters and do nothing with them. They are there for one quest and could be replaced with generic npcs for how little they actually affect the flow of the quest. They can come back in the end but again, irrelevant as far as impact goes. Characters just have boring personalities all around. The drunk chick could be interesting but no, she's there for a few dialogues. The only personality they know to apply is being a c**t to the player.
Makes it all the more satisfying to turn them into your personal pirate zoo on the vigilance
Shartfart finally ended Todds lying spree
>No alien races
>...
I don't even need to state other negatives. The fact you can't play as an alien or have other alien civilizations killed this game on arrival.
WTF was Todd thinking!? It's like TES with only Imperials!
This is a personal preference, not a “negative”
not even necessarily alien races but even offshoot humans would had been good addition. like argons/terrans in X3
I wish it had the grit of Fallout 3. Instead it feels like Disneyland, which is somewhat novel but boring eventually.
The last update fricked this game for me, it crashes every couple hours. It's like it can't keep up with remembering all the completed activities, vendor stock, item locations and it gets worse and worse the more I play.
(Series S btw)
This didn't happen before the update, I wonder if it is linked to removing all the vendor chests.
check the catalog first, dumbass
>NNNNO you are not allowed to shit on starfields sar!
Yes, its even worse than fallout 4. Biggest offense is how fricking boring and uninspired everything is. 15 year old outdated gameplay doesnt help it either.
and thats saying something cause Fo4 is bad
At least Fallout 4 has an actually open and traversable overworld...
I was expecting a lot more than just Fallout 4 in space. A new engine and a decade of development for what exactly? Better physics?
This post screams
>i need my zoomer brain to be constantly stimulated by shitposts on Ganker or otherwise the game is a failure
Play whatever fricking game you like why do you Black folk have to receive the approval of anonymous Mongolian basket weaving users?
all the factions suck
The Heart of Mars quest encapsulates everything wrong with the game pretty succinctly
explain
>NPC tells you about a legendary mineral
>fast travel to the newly added cave location on the planet map
>get dumped right outside the cave
>walk in to zero resistance because Mars doesn't have life
>pick up a big rock 5 feet from the entrance
>go back to the NPC
>wow I can't believe you found it I was only hazing you haha
Is this worse than Fallout 4? Dropped after 10 hours, refuse to try new bethesda games since
much better, but I think I disliked FO4 more than most people.
Its Fallout 4 in space but watered down
t. hasn't played the game
it's much closer to skyrim or oblivion than fallout 4, but I guess that's hard to tell if you've only seen screenshots and only know that there's guns in the game
>Fallout 4 locomotion and controls
>Fallout 4 combat
>Fallout 4 base building and crafting systems
>??????
>it's much closer to skyrim or oblivion than fallout 4
take your meds already schizo
Bullshit
is right. It's literally F4 but without everything that made it mildly entertaining. Even the music is reminiscing to it.
It’s space daggerfall with improved FO4 gunplay
Nah, Daggerfall at least had the stylized sword & sorcery vibe going for it.
I played space cowboys and main quest in first playthrough, then UC vanguard in ng+ and then a fresh new character for Ryujin..
How can a game without character attributes and classes be closer to Oblivion?
When its perks system is just Fallout 4 shit but watered down?
I am calling you out on your homosexualry you corporate cattle, so do respond.
Oblivion was shit anyway
Oblivions comfy level and sidequests and variety of role playing options is on a level that orders of magnitude better than Slopfield.
Oblivion sucks dick and has two good sidequest chains at most
Oblivion has races, attributes, classes, a coherent main story, solid role playing systems, good side quests, immersive world, etc.
You suck wieners you anally devastated corporate homosexual.
Do not try to divert the thread away from the shit that is Starflop, or another step down the shit road to mediocrity from Fallout 4 and 76 .
Still a dogshit game with homosexual level scaling you zoomers are sad
>filtered by the easiest bethesda game
>bethesda games are already made for moronic people
you've just confirmed you are beyond moronic lol
Filthy casual I played Oblivion on release and I powered trough the game by using reflect enchants and by being a hardcore player.
I learned about level scaling issues you pussy casual homosexuals couldnt overcome online like several years after i did more than 5 full playthroughs.
Eat shit cancerous corporate cattle.
You dont even know what oldblivion mod does.
What FX5200 gpu is.
Me too moron, it sucked
Get cancer corporate animal.
It's Fallout 4 in space, including the base building, goodie-two-shoes companions, ugly guns and everything else.
Imagine Fallout 4 but
>no handcrafted locations
>none of the factions are in conflict aside from pirates
>every poi has nothing in it or is a space raider base
>a worse perk tree
>base building is even more perfunctory
Will mod tools be able to fix'd it?
Starshit is a failure from the tech and engine side to the nonexistent "RPG choices" to the loading screen sim "gameplay"
Todd is using heavy SSRIs to cope daily
I think I've played it every day, it's really fun.
I really think most of the hate is seething PS5 owners who can't play it.
Not entirely, there’s also a lot of seething PCautists who hate every game
>Sarah Morgan disliked that
Why aren't you using Vasco idiot
Nobody have a frick about daggerfall until they needed a reason to shit on this game
I haven't done any main story
Did you play any of it?
Reached New Atlantis then left and did side quests for Freestar, Ryujin, Crimson Fleet, etc.
Paid off my dream home and am about level 35.
Yeah well you get Vasco right at the beginning so
I'm not memeing, I just couldn't find anything that made me want to keep playing it. Everything I thought it was going to be it ended up being.
>much 25 years
25 years to make a boring as frick game that makes paint drying literally more entertaining?
They nailed the space kino
shut the frick up Fabio
Nailed it on making it boring, I really tried and I was really looking forward to it. I was let down pretty hard.
>static night skies
>static solar systems
>cant freely travel in a solar system, can only teleport to a planets orbit, where you are trapped
>no fuel management
>no life support management
>no crew management
>no need to physically go anywhere in your ship except the wienerpit, which you can directly teleport to
quite literally this is not a space game. the closest thing i came to experiencing a space kino, is that i fired a double barrel shotgun in 0g and went flying backwards, i thought that was a nice touch
other than this there is not a single space element whatsoever
night skies
solar systems
Uhh no
>deny reality
all the skyboxes were datamined and the solar systems always appear in the same orientation in the map
please fricking have a nice day tonight brown moron
?t=128
What?
>see that mountain? you can climb it!
>literally proving he hasnt played the game by posting pre-release propoganda AND believing it
>2023
get all third worlders off the internet already holy fricking shit its so tiresome
You can pick where to land lol cope harder
what does that have to do with star systems having dynamic orbits
genuine ESL homosexual
What did that even mean, shit is orbiting all the time and the skyboxes change to reflect that
>deny reality x2
they really need to bump up the pay for you shills
Do you have a single source to back up your schizo nonsense?
>Shillbot is broken
You're the one who is yet to prove any of that shit is in the game, Rajesh
>changes subject immediately
>follows up with a slide shitpost
Absolutely exposed. Unironically have a nice day, Fabio
>Instantly switches from 'nuh uh the planets DO orbit!' to 'Well you can land anywhere on a planet'
Shills are absolutely desperate
I don't even see normies talking about it
it's not bad, just extremely mediocre and forgetable like most people predicted it'd be and how they'll let the modding community fix the game
>abandoned mine
>it's not abandoned
>abandoned Ecliptic base
>its full of Ecliptic
>pirate starfield
>play while watching shit like THE AMAZING RACE on monitor 2
>level 30 and done with the main quest before i know it
it had some decent side questlines and mods cleaned up some of the menu jank
everyone like myself who mildly enjoyed mindlessly jumping around shooting the same 4 c**ts over and over is now just waiting for mods to make the game actually worth paying attention to
>actual base production and automation
>actual HE-3 management
>actual personality in companions
>actually being able to romance more than 4 fricking people in the entire universe
>actually having different universes after unity
seriously why the FRICK do they sell it as le every universe is unique, but every reset all the artifacts are in the exact same place. is it so hard to just have them able to randomly spawn in any instanced location like abandoned mines and labs and shit
food and drink and sleep survival autism didnt have much place in skyrim mods IMO, give me food/drink/sleep/o2/outpost survival autism mods and then i'll start playing again
>playing this shit when you can play the space rpgs it ripped off
%3D
>nobody care about it
guess again moron, theres multiple threads here daily with snoys seething over it and /stag/ is consistently one of the top threads on /VG/
It's an amazing game, not every game needs to hold your attention for 5000 hours, Starfield is an experience, not a grindfest.
>Literally
Kys moron
I love using the same gun while fighting the same enemies for 20h straight. This is peak entertainment.
Try mixing it up with a different gun or do some questing or base building idk
25 YEARS
1000 PLANETS
many questinable design decisions and regressed in a lot of ways to fallout 4
>outpost building has less options than fo4 settlements with no improvements
>leveling takes forever
>to max your powers you need 10 new game+ runs and do the shitty orb collecting 240 times
>shitty writing
>dialog tree somehow worse than fo4
>terrible goody two shoes companions
>no rpg elements
>evil playthrough doesn't realy work in this game
>lose everything when you go into ng+
list goes on, there are DOZEN terrrible design decisions in this game and some are there only to stretch out the playtime
overall game is a 6/10
t. have 10 days of playtime
>>no rpg elements
Wrong
>wrong
moron, keep coping, everyone already called this out as one of the major flaws
Serious question, why arent shills banned on sight?
Is Hiroshimoot taking a cut? This low effort shitposting and shilling kills any kind of actual video game discussion
ah yeah and one of my biggest gripes storage capacity
it runs like shit on anything under a 4090/13900k and costs 70€ for the standard edition.
I wonder why no one is playing
It's just fricking boring.
>we looked at credits here at Ganker to laugh at all the Ranjesh and Pajeet and other jeets
But this is where following the money leads you.
>Explore Paarthurnax III
I was pretty bored by Starfield to begin with. It doesn't make a good first impression.
But after completing some mainline missions, gained some abilities and got better weapons, the game really opens up. Seemingly random comments from NPCs snowball into huge sidequests.
played for 140h and did everything I wanted to do. Had my fun for now and probably won't touch until dlc comes out.
i'm wiating for hdr support because i'm very certain all the elevated blacks are damaging my oled
Bethesda games are all predestined to be cult following games a few months after release, really only meant to be played by a select number of dorks, perverts and Asians once the modding scene starts to pick up.
Might be, especially when you take the hype and promises into account.
Honestly felt like there was less content than skyrim
It has fun combat unlike skyrim
The only time it gets interesting is in zero G.
Otherwise its just an ordinary shooter with braindead AI.
I can't believe how many times I've seen enemies trying to run through a closed door or shoot at me through bulletproof glass.
Still more fun than skyrim
>exploration is pointless
>the main story and side quests are dull
>dialog is bland shit
After a few hours I stopped exploring and just focused on side quests because people were saying thats the best part of the game. I dropped it after 30 mind numbing hours hoping for it to get good.
>no intimidation option on women
>dancing dad bodies in a night club
pozzed
I am 100% convinced this game was made by AIs, it the blandest most derivative piece of media I have ever seen
>a game made by AI, marketed by AI, played by AI, and discussed by AI
It definitely was
not just the writing and art
but the whole thing
all the horrible incoherent design choices were part of the directive
this is a demoralization propaganda game
Let's play No Man's Skyrim
Hey, we are in a spaceship in space. Let's "fly" to that planet.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
We are in orbit around the planet. We can't explore the planet?! We can only land in the one and only city on the planet?! Fine.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Well, the game landed the ship for us. Let's get out of the ship.
>*cut scene of exiting the wienerpit to hide the loading screen*
Okay, let's click the ladder to leave the ship.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Well, let's walk around the city. Oh, here's a building. Let's go in.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go up to floor two. No stairs? Here's an elevator. Let's go in.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
On floor two now. Nothing to see here. Let's leave this building. Back in the elevator.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
On floor one now. Let's click the door to leave.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Maybe there is something to do somewhere else. Hey, here's a train. Let's get in.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Okay. Another area of the city. More buildings to click to go in. Nah, let's leave this planet. Back to the train.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's walk to our ship. Click the ladder again to enter the ship.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go to the wienerpit. Click the chair.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's ascend.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go to another planet.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
So, fast travel is the only way to travel in this game? There is no driving or any actual flying, landing, or ascending? There are world cell loading all over the place? Frick this, Bethesda.
*rage*

>is this possibly the worst Bethesda game ever?
nha, second worse, you forgot about FO76
Fallout 76 is unironically better than Starfield
i wouldn't go that far
I would. Fallout 76 has a story with very coherent stakes that are explained to you right away, and not every character is some fricking homosexual with two dads who can only speak in sarcastic Reddit speak
What's strange is they ripped systems from F76 while gutting them. I was actually shocked I couldn't mod melee weapons to add EM damage in Starfield.
I mean, its at least a fallout game with the world to explore...
Unlike Fallout 4.
agree
New game bad
Old game good
I think this meme has played itself out if 76 is now considered a flawed gem.
I hope this was done ironically.
it's still bad compared to 3 and nv, just not as bad as starfield
Fallout 76 wasn't developed by Todd and Emil, so it actually has a coherent story, great characters like MODUS, and a great map for exploration. Also, unlike Starfield, it's actually fun to play.
No, 76 still sucks. Starfield just sucks more.
Bethesda has been on a consistent downward trend for over 20 years now.
You really think Oblivion was the apex of Bethesda games? For extra hipster points go for one of the games older than 20 years old.
could be interesting in 3 years when they patch out all the t-shit and try to make a good game out of it with updates.
I feel like I am roundly becoming disinterested in games because of this "make sure there is an equal amount of black people" thing
i do not play video games to see black people. If i could never see a black person again in any context i'd do that immediately
It's not as bad in video games because you can't smell them.
Shitrim is shit
Skyrim seems to have more unique stories to stumble upon, making exploration worthwhile. Starfield has more to explore and less to discover.
Not really
Woke crap isn't popular. Who knew?
> Is this the worst Bethesda game ever?
That would be Daggerfall. Daggerfall is in the running for worst video game ever.
I can't find the anon who said it earlier, but they are right.. I have never seen anyone who likes the game say what makes the game fun. These threads are hilarious
Every game released is forgotten days later.
New Vegas was the last good game.
>The same game just worst now and more dumb and generic.
>Oh My Heckin so¥cience
>Oh My Heckin chosen one.
>OH my heckin essential NPCs worst than even fallout 4 and Skyrim.
>no Gore or dismemberment tame kids shit worst than even Skyrim
>Looting is worse than fallout 4 or Skyrim you can't loot the bodies completely.
>No radio or something like it
>Blood look Shit
>the modding scene is still barebone no creation kit wait for next year so no good overhaul or worthwhile mods .
>wants to swim underneath you can't wants a fov you need a mod for that.. there's none in the game.
>The least we talk about the NPC looks and there dialogue the better.
Rajeetbackfield is a discount dollar store market version of fallout 4 with the le HECKIN wholesome Big chunges powers of the dragonborn as the Main quest to get mind you still a discount version of that too so you can shout like a raped b***h in the ng+ in the same cave in the same empty planet just a different name now while doing the same 100th fetch quest after that same 100th radiant quest while you fighting Le HECKIN Epic same moon bandit [ "spacers" "pirates"] over and over again in the same empty planet in the same building or ship just a different name now.
>noooooooo! I need a radio for my zoom zoom tunes!!!
>homosexual Shitskin thinks I'm a zoomer Black person homosexual
Radio or not this GAME is Shit and what I wrote about it above is a factual criticism of it now Frick off and go shit on someone street and don't forget to drink your cow god dang and it pee subhuman bugthesda drone.
You're a swarthy zoom zoom!
It wasn't unironic.
The old saying " You shouldn't pretend to be fools because it will attract people who think they are in good company" has come true.
its the best bethesda game since morrowind
>NO ONE CARES ABOUT IT!!!
>300 posts later
Well, (you) care enough to make a thread about the game tho
Game sucks, barely any threads kek
Oof. Imagine getting mogged by your own B-Team and their GaaS spin-off title
It's soul crushing doing a main quest mission in a generic building you cleared out 5 times already on different planets.
This game is corporate slop.
The real gamers are waiting for the dicky mods before starting on the game
