Yeah 5 mages in SM and cheesing the game was fun as frick honestly. I ignored tank/healer requirements and did all of SM with 5 warriors and it was surprisingly smooth. Boomers thinking you need a tank and healer in these leveling dungeons are dumb as frick. GenZ outsmarted the boomers. You can clear 90% of vanilla dungeons without healers and tanks. 5 dps absolutely breaks the game. 5 hunters will blow through all dungeons including Dire Maul
dear moronic zoomie, the "boomers" were the ones that came up with all that after playing on private servers for like 15 years
then you zoomers saw some streamers do it and starting copying it because you're so dumb that you can't create a "meta", just blindly follow it
I sort of agree, it was fun to revisit the old game but it also revealed exactly why "you don't really want to do that". The community that made the game is gone, replaced by all the worst parts of multiplayer gaming.
Are you me? I share your exact opinion. Let me shake your hand.
It was like revisiting the past while getting shown how the people in gaming had changed. Not only games, but gaming culture was better back in the day. I don't regret visiting WoW via Classic, but I sure don't want to go back and was reminded the game belongs in 2004 and could have been truly experienced only at that time.
>and could have been truly experienced only at that time.
This so much this and it sort of filled me with regret for all the games that I didn't get to play back then.
I'm having a lot of fun in vanilla as somebody who didn't play TBC or the first go of Classic. It's a lot more active at lower levels than I expected it to be.
If there are I haven’t bumped into any of them yet. I did see a couple max level horde guys in Westfall once, but I /cowered and /waved at them, so they let me live. I haven’t seen anybody getting camped yet.
>until tryhards ruined it
Well every game always has min maxing autismos, but classic wow was good because there was a lot of casual players especially during the lockdowns.
WOTLK became shit because all the casuals left, and only the GDKP gold buying autists remained.
Classic WoW was good because the GDKP gold buying autism although prevalent, didn't take complete root like it did in WOTLK classic
>what if we take a game we already made, made ZERO changes and released it again >HOLY SHIT ZOMG HOW DID BLIZZARD EVER COME UP WITH THAT?!?!?!?!?!?
WoW players are the lowest form of gamers
>no more GDKP >pally and lock are getting hot garbage or even dps decrease runes >to add insult to injury said new runes are actually 100% incompatible with current lesser used runes >profession gear is completely insane, meanwhile alchs get fricked in the ass as usual
I hate that my friends are still playing this garbage
I don't want to spam incinerate for 10 months and have a terrible time in pvp hardcasting while everyone else gets new stuff and still be below physical dps
I think the devs ran into the same problem with casters as they did with hunters. If they hit too hard they're gonna 1-2 shot people in PVP. That's why they went so heavy for hunter's pets because that way they could give them power without aimed shot critting for 1k at 25. Well turns out buffed pets were crazy strong in PVP so they got gutted. I think that's the tldr of it why casters are so far behind of physical dps and why they haven't buffed them to be better. They can't without ruining the PVP experience for everyone.
It was great for 3-5 months at the absolute most. The only people left after that were autistic pserver bug people who have an encyclopedic knowledge of every facet of the game, who went on to inform the attitude of newcomers to the point where the game's "vibe" is now near indistinguishable from retail.
frick you, fat
Cold takes thread?

It's the boomers who kept playing on private servers discovering that shit
>GenZ outsmarted the boomers
boomers figured out all this shit on elitistjerks 15 years ago

Classic needed Mythic+
True
They should add the Great Vault to classic

Season of Discovery is fun as well, gives me major Classic 2019 vibes. Its a nice change after playing wrath for a year.

Aren't there corpse camping PVP autists in the current active vanilla servers?
If there are I haven’t bumped into any of them yet. I did see a couple max level horde guys in Westfall once, but I /cowered and /waved at them, so they let me live. I haven’t seen anybody getting camped yet.
Unless they moved on to SoD, then enjoy the autistic T3 rogues in Menethil Harbor, camping on both the ships.

it was for for a week until sweaty metagays ruined everything
the sweaty metagays made it extra fun because they made it incredibly easy to mine salt by dispelling their world buffs
>sweaty metagays ruined everything
There was a lot of dad gamer boomers and they had fun, how did metagays ruin everything? Didn't WoW always have tryhards too lol
>Different things are different
who knew
it was good time, at least on grobbulus
it wasn't like vanilla, but it was it's own sort of fun
i liked 2015 nostalrius
WoW Classic Classic when?
WoW was always shit and only old balding fat neckbeards still praise it
Any Fairbanks friends? Good times on that server.
it was
and now that gdkps are being banned for s2 sod, it'll be fun again
>yeah but gdkps were go-
don't care Black person, get banned
GDKPs are theoretically ok but in practice they become integrated into the gold buying pipeline
exactly, fine in small doses but terrible at large scale
just like socialism, just like nazism, just like feminism
I can't believe we all tricked ourselves into thinking Blizzard run vanilla servers would actually be better than private servers
Can you imagine if that was released 1 year later...
>what if we take a game we already made, made ZERO changes and released it again

new lock runes are ass but were already the strongest caster especially with deep destruction talents at level 40

It was pretty fun for a couple of months but it's all over now.
