Wew. Wonder what happened to the Mobile Ragnarok and Mobile Maplestory? Heard during its release, they gave away too much OP items and gear, and because of that rush of power, played it for a few moments, and got bored of them days later. Maybe too much of a good thing is bad?
You had to be there. I remember making a friend on that game. We'd spend hours in dungeons trying to duo shit and getting the best gear. That was roughly ten years ago, so they probably have their own life.
I downloaded this and there was literally only one other person in the whole game and the game threw the cash shop in my face

Frick me, it feels like it was all a lifetime ago.
lineage 2 mobile and black desert mobile were honestly the high points, no other games I've tried had the smooth combat and large scale pvp they had and weren't immediately p2w
it's all fricked now though, every single game I've tried either played like shit or was $200/mo just to stay competitive
Unless they made brand new servers and somehow got a lot of return population it's not possible to ever catch back up for new players I think. I haven't played for a couple years though I just couldn't afford it any more.
I think this happened to BDM too. I've been returning to this game since January this year. Returning from my prob 3 years missed char. From 8k now I have 39k but yet couldn't catch up (current highest rank is 69k).
NTA, but I think I enjoy the passive grinding when I have downtime between projects. So far, not playing RS3 atm, (especially in RS3) since I real worry about the 10-minute prep and schedule for its Wildy Flash Events. Have a Seren Spirit and Divine Blessing!
Haven't tried RS3 mobile nor have I really played it at all in general. I love OSRS on mobile though. It's hard to want to sit at a computer anymore so being able to play on my phone is great.
There are some things like questing that feels better on PC though so it's not perfect. Maybe the planned UI update will improve that but I know little about it.
I wish I could have a wiki open on my phone while I play too. I currently just log out and check something on my phone's browser before logging back in. Not great for long complicated quests...
They homogenized a lot of the faction and role specific stuff, lots of simplifications from the main game. You could still gank and grief people to some extent though.
It also had instanced arenas, but I didn't dabble in them much.
>"not p2w" is too much to ask out of a phone game
it's too much to ask out of ANY korean or chinese mmo, and they're the only ones who even think about making new mmos nowadays
Uncharted Waters Origin is a solid 6/10 by non-mobile MMO standards and a 8/10 for a mobile MMO, try that.
Warhammer Fantasy had a great mobile MMO but it got hacked
Modern MMOs are becoming more and more instanced.
What Genshin is is basically what MMOs will become in a few years. Always online single-player games with drop-in co-op like Souls games. The only exception will be a hub zone that shows more people.
Same goes for mmo period.
Mobile mmo are just shitty versions of old dried up games to streamline the micros

>FFXI R was cancelled two years ago
It still hurts
I thought Pocket Legends was pretty good

Same for RPGs and ARPGs in general, mobile is still cursed

shit not lineage 2 mobile, lineage 2 revolution was the good one the 30 vs 30 fights for fortresses was some of the most fun I've had in an mmo
Not worth playing today then?

how do you feel about oldschool runescape and runescape (3)?

My phone was too old to run it when it came out, but I had heard good things about EVE Echoes. Is that game still relevant?

I heard Tower of Fantasy is pretty good
Not really. Full of jank and the gacha powercreep is crazy
the jank isn't too bad but I left because of powercreep, shit gets annoying if you like a particular weapon and it turns out garbage
it was okay at the start but then it lost its sovl
Toram?
What does your mobile mmo need to have to be considered not-dogshit?
character creation
a world to explore
writing worth reading
combat that's fun
no auto, or at least content you can't do on auto
i feel like "not p2w" is too much to ask out of a phone game so at least some kind of cap on how much spending money per month can help you
